Liam was glad things were going according to plan, he had made quite a lot of money on the first day and now he had another target.

There was a good chance this lady would give him even more money but she wasn’t lonely nor suffering from self-esteem.

This meant the chance of him replicating what he did with Rachel was slim, Liam accepted this and the fact she was surrounded by fit men all day also meant she wasn’t short of eye candy.

They had a brief conversation but Liam failed to collect her number, not because he didn’t want to, it was because he wanted to find out the kind of person she was.

He still had 28 more days before the rebate bonus was exhausted, his goal was to make at least a couple of millions before this ran out.

If he could accomplish this, he would be right back on track and enjoy life like nothing happened.

But there was always a chance that this rebate system had an expiry date, so he needed to use this month to milk it for all it is worth.

Liam was on his way home but got a phone call, it was his boss from his former place of employment at Harlan & Associates, Mrs. Harriet.

Liam cleared his throat and instantly answered the phone call, he connected it to his phone’s speakers so he wouldn’t be breaking any laws.

He was a lawyer so he couldn’t be caught lacking whatsoever, a single bleep in his record would make returning to law all but impossible.

"Good evening Mrs. Harlan, what can I help you with?" Liam questioned, he was worried that this call was an eviction notice.

If she did, he wouldn’t have enough money currently to establish himself in a new neighborhood even though he should be able to afford rent for a few months.

However, it wasn’t just rent he had to think about but furniture and equipment as well.

[[Liam, I hope I found you on a good day?]] Mrs. Harriet questioned and this made Liam’s brows raise in confusion.

"Absolutely! I have been able to adjust, is there something I can do for you?" Liam asked.

[[I’m really sorry about how our relationship ended. If there was any other way, we would have taken that route.]] Mrs. Harriet apologized but once again, Liam was confused why she wasn’t getting straight to the point and this conversation was sounding like she wanted something in which he had the choice to reject. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

"It is fine, you protected what you had to protect. I don’t hold it against you," Liam responded once again.

[[I’m glad you understand but I might have an opportunity for you... You were one of our best.]] Mrs. Harriet said and now this had his attention.

"An opportunity?" Liam questioned, waiting for her to land the blow.

Liam knew the rebate system had the power to change his life but knowing he had something to fall back on would be great.

[[Yes, I have a small opening in New York and I might need someone to help me handle things there. It is a small branch and I admit, the pay won’t be as good but there is a good chance we retain you in the main branch after this whole thing blows over.]]

Liam thought about it right away, this was a big decision that he couldn’t think about.

"Can I think it over and get back to you?" Liam requested and of course she had no problems granting him this grace as she knew it wasn’t an answer he would give her right away.

However, this was also her testing the waters to see how bad he wanted it but Liam seemed surprisingly calm despite being fired not long ago.

The phone call ended but truth be told, Liam had no intentions to be trapped in an office because he had seen first-hand how fragile it was.

"I know what I really want..." Liam muttered under his breath.

"I want to start my own law firm and do that, I need a lot of money," Liam thought to himself, he knew he could reach out to Rachel.

If anything, he needed to get something more expensive, he couldn’t spend $100,000 on her after just the second day.

That would put her on guard because no one was that generous, she was good at draining his balls but post-nut clarity was something that allowed him to think with clarity.

"Maybe a bag? No... What about a cut jewelry set as a thank you for such a great time," Liam considered these things. He had to find a way to empty out his account because it would allow him to quadruple his total income.

Rachel dug deeper and eventually went down a rabbit hole she wished she hadn’t.

She found hints that Liam and her were involved in a romantic relationship, with Liam consistently commenting on her posts.

The way he interacted with it wasn’t like a friend or colleague, this was a man interested in her.

And Sara always responded in a very flirty way, to her credit, it was only Liam she gave this energy to, at least publicly.

She checked her highlights and noticed there were a few pictures taken in Liam’s apartment only a few days ago.

"Didn’t he say he was single? Don’t tell me...!" Rachel’s heart dropped, she couldn’t believe Liam might be cheating on this lady with her.

She thought about shooting her a text to clarify things but the more she looked at Sara, the more insecure she got.

If Liam had such a sexy ass girlfriend, why was he cheating on her with Rachel?

In a weird way, this validated Rachel because it showed that Liam did truly find her attractive.

But she recalled his words, he had told her about his recent breakup and none of his comments or likes were on her recent post.

But not only that, Sara responded to the other comments unlike before, giving them a certain type of energy.

Rachel might have allowed jealousy to blind her for a second but she calmed down and put things together.
