"Do you want to go somewhere else?" said Alexander.

"No this is my favorite spot because it’s peaceful but tell me did you fuck her?" said Marcus.

"Yeah it was great" said Alexander.

Marcus laughed though he kept his voice to a whisper "Haha I’m glad you finally cut loose because everyone calls you the Prude Prince since they think you’re frigid" said Marcus.

"That’s not true" said Alexander.

"No? You’ve rejected so many girls that everyone thinks you’re gay and there’s actually a bet going around about whether you’re a top or a bottom while bottom is winning since they think you like taking it up the ass" said Marcus.

Alexander stared at him with a face turning red because he couldn’t believe his reputation was that trashed. He thought about the night he’d just had with Helen and the girl from the burger joint knowing that if they only knew what the Prude Prince was actually doing the betting pool would go up in flames.

Lily was back and marched to the table with a face red from frustration "I’m done and you two have to leave right now because I’m only banning you for today but if this happens again it’s a month so get out" said Lily. She turned on her heel and walked back toward the front desk while Marcus just leaned back watching her walk away "She’s got a great ass doesn’t she?" said Marcus.

"What?" said Alexander as he felt totally confused.

Alexander turned around to look but Lily was completely covered in baggy oversized clothes with a heavy sweater that hid everything "Are you crazy or just sick because you can’t see anything through that" said Alexander.

"Hehe you’re such a rookie, after being in this business as long as I have you develop an eye for it so stay here while I get us a pass back into her good graces" said Marcus. He stood up and smoothed out his jacket then walked over to the desk where Lily was aggressively stamping books "Please forgive us, we’re just a couple of idiots for disturbing your sanctuary and we never meant to be disrespectful so could you ever find it in your heart to forgive us?" said Marcus.

Lily didn’t even look up "Just leave okay and don’t make a scene" said Lily.

"A scene? Never because I just couldn’t stand leaving a bad impression on a girl as beautiful as you and I wouldn’t want you thinking I’m some kind of creep" said Marcus. He reached out and gently brushed his fingers over her hand but Lily flinched and pulled back as if she’d been burned "What do you think you’re doing?" said Lily.

"Forgive me, I couldn’t help myself since your hand is so delicate and silky that it just hypnotized me" said Marcus.

Lily narrowed her eyes behind her thick glasses "Stop joking with me because I’m not falling for some cliché novel lines and I’m not an idiot" said Lily.

Marcus recoiled looking wounded as he faked a gasp and shifted his expression into one of deep hurt while even making his eyes turn red "Cliché? I finally worked up the courage to tell you how I felt and my feelings are just a cliché to you?" said Marcus. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

Lily panicked because she saw his eyes welling up and her maternal instincts kicked in making her feel like a monster for hurting this sensitive guy "No! No I didn’t mean it like that! It’s just that I... wait I’m sorry I’m so sorry and I didn’t mean to hurt you!" said Lily.

"I’m just a very sensitive man and women have always played with my feelings so sometimes I feel like people just take advantage of me" said Marcus.

A single perfect tear rolled down his cheek and Lily couldn’t take it as she reached out to pull him into a hug with her head barely reaching his shoulder. Marcus immediately buried his face in her chest hiding his smirk as he felt her heart racing against him "Shh it’s okay I’m so sorry because everything will be fine I promise" said Lily.

Alexander watched from the table with a jaw dropping because he realized he was watching a professional hunter at work performing to turn a stern librarian into a protective mess in under two minutes.
