The Path of the Martial Arts BOSS
Chapter 404 - 216: Negotiation and Tracking
"Right this way."
Little Li Zi led the way, winding through pavilions and towers until they reached the garden.
Here, Si Haofeng silently observed Ji Tang, alongside Feng Chaonan who had regained his composure. šÆš»šššš®šš·ššæšš.ššøš¢
"Are you Ji Tang, the Assassin from the Azure Dragon Association?"
The speaker was not Feng Chaonan, but Si Haofeng, who had been staring at Ji Tang ever since he entered the garden.
Si Haofeng had always harbored doubts about his nephew, Feng Chaonanās collusion with the Azure Dragon Association, and their use of the associationās power to eliminate dissenters, even to the extent of assassinating Eldest Prince Feng Guanyu. Up until now, the doubts had lingered, but it was time to let them go.
"A murderer from the blood-soaked Azure Dragon Association dares to appear before me."
Si Haofeng could sense that the young man before him had his hands drenched in fresh blood. The Blood Dao Martial Arts he cultivated were built on the sacrifice of countless lives; the aura of bloodshed about him was something even the most battle-hardened veterans couldnāt match.
Some ordinary civilians wouldnāt even meet as many people in their lifetimes as this young man had killed.
Instantly, Si Haofeng felt the urge to kill.
Although he wasnāt one to intensely hate evil, he couldnāt stand idly by and watch this cold-blooded butcher saunter around, especially since he had come seeking his nearly mad nephew.
"Uncle!"
Feng Chaonan shouted, "If you wonāt help me, at least donāt stop others from helping me."
Si Haofeng turned around, facing Feng Chaonanās eyes burning with determination and murderous intent.
Those eyes were filled with an unyielding resolve to brook no interference and to never back down.
Si Haofeng watched quietly for a moment, ultimately choosing to leave with a flick of his sleeve.
"Conduct yourself well." He left behind only these words.
After Si Haofeng left, those determined, murderous eyes of Feng Chaonan turned to Ji Tang.
"You say you can help His Highness remove that one-armed assassin?" Feng Chaonan looked at Ji Tang and asked in a deep voice.
"Itās not me who says so, but the Dragon Chief."
Ji Tang smiled faintly and shook his head, "You should trust Mr. Gongās words, Your Highness."
"Indeed," Feng Chaonan nodded, "I have witnessed Mr. Gongās capabilities. Eldest Prince Feng Guanyu himself demonstrated Mr. Gongās might with his death."
"But..."
Feng Chaonanās voice grew even deeper, "That one-armed assassin is not Feng Guanyu, he is not from the Divine Origin Realm."
"But he is also not from the True Pill Realm, is he?" Ji Tang interjected, "Ultimately, heās just someone who achieved the Fake True Pill Realm through the Left Dao Abnormal Technique and is also missing an arm, compromising his strength."
"But this is still not something the Divine Origin Realm can compare with."
Feng Chaonan remembered the moment when Eunuch Wei was crushed by the black iron chains that moved like a Spirit Python. He is of the Innate Realm, far from even touching the edges of the Divine Origin Realm, and unable to comprehend the terrifying nature of the True Pill Realm.
But Eunuch Wei was in the late stages of Divine Origin, a top-notch expert within that realm, otherwise, he wouldnāt have been sent by his mother to assist him.
Yet, this top-notch expert of the Divine Origin Realm didnāt stand a chance against that one-armed assassin, with Eunuch Wei only managing to buy some time with his life until Si Haofeng could arrive and flee with Feng Chaonan.
Even Si Haofeng, second on the martial artistsā list, didnāt dare to confront the assassin and chose to flee with Feng Chaonan. Feng Chaonan didnāt think that Mr. Gong, also of the Divine Origin Realm, could be more formidable than his uncle, who was second on the martial artistsā list.
"Do you know, Your Highness, how that one-armed assassin lost his right hand?"
Ji Tang answered himself, "The left forearm lost by the one-armed assassin is still in our Azure Dragon Associationās possession. Do you need me to send it for Your Highness to see some day?"
The hand of the one-armed assassin, was it taken by the Azure Dragon Association?
Feng Chaonanās face, burning with hatred, suddenly paused, and his pupils unconsciously constricted. He realized that he had underestimated the strength of the Azure Dragon Association.
If the one-armed assassin at his full strength had lost a hand to the Azure Dragon Association, what about now that his strength was impaired?
"How about it? Your Highness, would you like to do business again with our Azure Dragon Association?" Ji Tang took out a letter from his sleeve and presented it to Feng Chaonan, "Just prepare the items listed in this letter, and the head and hands of the one-armed assassin will be delivered."
Feng Chaonan slowly took the letter but did not open it to see what items were listed inside. As long as they were not some incredibly rare items, he, Feng Chaonan, could obtain them.
Even if he didnāt have them, they should be in the secret vault of the Imperial Palace. The Emperor was now comatose, and although it was difficult but not impossible for Feng Chaonan, with his power, to enter the Imperial Palaceās secret vault.
Now what was most important was taking the life of the one-armed assassin.
"How long? How long before I can see the assassinās head?"
Ji Tang revealed a joyful smile; the deal was sealed.
"Seven days. Itās the Azure Dragon Associationās ruleātake a personās life within seven days."
Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·Ā·
Meng Wuchang didnāt wait too long before he saw that "Blood Refining Blade" Ji Tang again coming out from the mansion.
"Sir, should we have someone follow him?" Shang Yi cautiously asked.
Meng Wuchangās aura was extremely suppressed, he seemed to have encountered an inscrutable puzzle, silently deep in thought.
What Meng Wuchang needed to think about was why Ji Tang would visit so boldly.
As he predicted, Gong Ziyu should have guessed his identity by now. And after guessing his identity, the Azure Dragon Association should have retreated, preventing him from tracing them back and wiping them out completely.
But Ji Tangās appearance told Meng Wuchang that he had miscalculated.
The Azure Dragon Association had not retreated, and Gong Ziyu was not hiding from him. Gong Ziyu had sent out Ji Tang, he was luring Meng Wuchang out.
So, should Meng Wuchang reveal himself?
To this question, Meng Wuchangās answer was...
"Follow," Meng Wuchang decisively said, "I will personally follow him and see what kind of medicine Gong Ziyu is selling in his gourd."
Meng Wuchang did not back off. If the rat in the gutter could no longer stay hidden and wanted to come into the light, he naturally wanted to be the first to go there and kill this damned rat.
Meng Wuchang was not worried about it being a trap. Gong Ziyu using Ji Tang as bait was obviously a trap.
But Meng Wuchang didnāt need to care, for he had enough strength to crush any trap.
The number two on the hit list, Si Haofeng, would flee at the sight of him, let alone Gong Ziyu.
Last time he was caught off guard, ambushed by the terrain and an overwhelming amount of explosives. This time, being alert, it would be harder for them to ambush him than to ascend to the heavens.
What he needed to be worried about was not finding Gong Ziyuās whereabouts; once he found the man, Gong Ziyu should be the one worried.
With that being the case, why should he refuse?
Meng Wuchang leapt from his hiding place and trailed far behind Ji Tang.
He was tracking Ji Tang to find where Gong Ziyu was. Even if he couldnāt find Gong Ziyu, eliminating one stronghold was still beneficial.
