The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl
Chapter 41: Outburst
When they arrived at the hotel, as soon as Yiyi saw Ding Yuejun, she quickly ran up and said with a smile, "Mom, I found a place to stay. We’ll head there directly later and move in tonight."
Upon hearing her daughter’s words, Ding Yuejun was full of surprise, "Yiyi, you found a place to live so quickly? Where’s the house?"
"It’s in South City, the environment is very good, and it’s a two-story house with a yard."
Mo Shan beside them was full of joy, "Aunt, does this mean we can all live there from now on?"
"Yes."
Hearing this, Yiyi squatted down, patted her niece on the head, and her face was full of happiness.
"Oh... that’s really great."
Thinking about having their own home in the future, Mo Shan was filled with joy from head to toe, but soon she hesitated, "But... we promised Mom we’d stay at the Shuntian Hotel. What if she can’t find us when she comes in the morning?"
"No problem, once you’re at the house, I’ll make a trip to the food factory and tell my sister our new address."
Ding Yuejun didn’t want her daughter to rush around so much, so she said, "Why don’t we go tomorrow instead?"
"Mom, let’s just go straight there. It’s not a hassle to notify my sister, and I’ve already paid the rent."
Upon hearing her daughter had already paid, Ding Yuejun quickly said, "Alright, we’ll go there later, and we can save the hotel fee."
Having made up their minds, Yiyi took her mother and niece Mo Shan to the little house in South City.
Once the three arrived at the yard, they saw Mr. Jiang and Old Mrs. Jiang waiting there. Seeing the trio coming, they smiled and greeted, "Yiyi, you’re here."
Yiyi was surprised that the elderly couple was waiting for them, "Grandpa Jiang, Grandma Jiang, why are you waiting at the door? Please come in." Saying that, she took out the key and opened the gate, as Old Mrs. Jiang had already handed her the keys before leaving.
Ding Yuejun had heard her daughter mention these elderly people before, so she warmly greeted them.
Seeing this, Old Mrs. Jiang said with a smile, "You don’t need to worry, we came specifically to invite you for dinner."
Ding Yuejun felt embarrassed; not only did they rent the yard to them at a low price, but now they were generously inviting them for dinner.
Yiyi also felt a bit embarrassed.
Old Mrs. Jiang noticed this and said, "Yiyi, you shouldn’t refuse. You saved my husband’s life; now we want to invite you for a meal, so don’t say no."
After hearing this, Yiyi finally didn’t object and agreed right away.
Old Mrs. Jiang then smiled, "Alright, we’ll head back to prepare, you can come around five, our house is right next door."
Yiyi heard this and nodded with a smile, saying, "Grandpa Jiang, Grandma Jiang, thank you."
"Oh, it’s no trouble at all."
Old Mrs. Jiang finished speaking and happily pulled Mr. Jiang back home.
Earlier, they had specially visited the hospital, and the diagnosis was just an old ailment. However, after explaining the situation, the doctor said Mr. Jiang was really lucky to have met Yiyi; otherwise, his life could have been in danger. Therefore, the elderly couple were genuinely grateful to Yiyi.
After Mr. and Mrs. Jiang left, Ding Yuejun curiously asked Yiyi, "Yiyi, did you really save Mr. Jiang’s life?"
Yiyi pondered for a moment and then said to Ding Yuejun, "Mom, back when I was in school, I read some books on various topics, and after some trial and error, I managed to make some medicine pills. Seeing Grandpa Jiang’s situation was urgent, I tried using them, and it actually worked. It made me realize how fragile life can be, so I’ve decided I want to apply to a medical university."
Hearing this, Ding Yuejun felt only happiness.
"Great, since you’ve made up your mind, when senior year starts next semester, you must work hard on your studies." She had always supported her daughter’s education, but since entering high school, Yiyi had become a bit negligent with her studies.
This was partly because she hadn’t resisted, causing Yiyi to be occupied with household chores despite her heavier workload at school. Meanwhile, Old Mrs. Mo kept saying girls don’t need to study.
Over time, her daughter couldn’t keep up with the high school curriculum; her enthusiasm for learning waned. Seeing Yiyi regain her passion now, she was overjoyed.
Seeing her mother so happy, Yiyi felt she must put in effort.
After talking with her mother a bit more, Yiyi headed straight to the food factory.
This time Mo Xiaohong was probably busy, so Yiyi waited a while before her sister came running.
"Sister, slow down, no hurry."
Mo Xiaohong, seeing Yiyi come to find her, was a bit surprised, "Yiyi, why are you here? I was going to come find you tomorrow morning, you didn’t need to come specially."
"Sister, I wanted to tell you we’re not staying at Shuntian Hotel anymore; we’ve found a rental place, in South City. I wrote down the address, you can go directly there tomorrow."
Taking the note from her sister, Mo Xiaohong nodded and said, "Okay, got it, but you were really fast finding a place."
Hearing this, Yiyi said with a smile, "I just got lucky meeting Grandpa and Grandma Jiang." Then she explained everything.
After hearing this, Mo Xiaohong felt happy as well. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Initially worried about her mother Ding Yuejun coping post-divorce with Yiyi and Shanshan in the town, but now that they’ve found a place, things should gradually improve.
"Sister, you should get back to work, I’ll head back first."
Mo Xiaohong waved her hand and said, "Alright, you should go quickly, be careful on your way back alone."
"Okay."
After Yiyi left, Mo Xiaohong happily returned to the factory.
However, at the Mo family’s house in Luwei Village, the atmosphere was tense and oppressive.
"Qian Yafen, we have truly been deceived by you for years. I’ve always thought of you as a good person, diligently working for the family, but never expected you to secretly open a store with your family, giving them all the money to build a house. You really are something."
Old Mrs. Mo looked at her youngest daughter-in-law, and couldn’t suppress her anger; at the last, she even threw the coarse porcelain teacup towards Qian Yafen.
