The Record of Orc Civilization
Chapter 368: Talks on Two Thrones
I deeply apologize for the delay in updating the story. My recent journey to Umrah in Mecca was followed by an unexpected illness that required several days of treatment. I understand the anticipation for the next Chapter and sincerely regret any disappointment caused by the delay. Furthermore, as I strive to balance my commitments, including completing my Master’s degree, there may be further interruptions in the story’s updates. Your patience and understanding during this challenging time are invaluable to me, and I am truly grateful for your ongoing support.
---------------------------------------------------------
Two men with different skin colors sat facing each other on magnificent chairs that resembled intricately carved coral. The two majestic chairs looked like thrones fit for a king. However, the accuracy of that statement became evident when considering who occupied these two seats.
Although the two chairs appeared like twin thrones, careful observation revealed the differences between them. The chair occupied by the blue-skinned man seemed higher, adorned with handrails made of polished rainbow coral. In the headrest of the chair, there was a colored depression, giving the impression that the one sitting on it wore a crown.
On the other hand, the second chair, while not as grand as the one in front, exuded its own elegance. Especially with the presence of the green-skinned man seated upon it. The man brought his own grandeur and majesty, making it unnecessary for him to sit on a magnificent throne to demonstrate his authority as a king.
Upon returning to his residence, Moku wore a simple outfit typical of the Wilwatikta Kingdom. With a leather garment that only covered his wrists, Moku’s muscular abdomen and broad chest displayed an aura of untamed masculinity. The long robe hanging from his shoulders resembled a superhero cape. Combined with a bone necklace emitting powerful Mana, Moku’s outfit, though seemingly barbaric, might be far more expensive than what could be found in a king’s wardrobe.
In front of him sat Aquenar, The King of Aquanorin. The king wore his regal attire, and the aura and commanding presence he brought were many times greater as a result. Despite sitting with his chin raised, appearing relaxed, Moku could sense the alertness in his movements.
The water elf servants, who had served sweets and drinks on the round table between the two kings, completed their tasks and left the room after Aquenar waved his hand. In the beautiful meeting hall adorned with blue-themed coral, only Moku, Aquenar, and a water elf knight standing behind his king remained.
Before Aquenar could speak, Moku initiated the conversation, "Who is the person behind you, your majesty? I’ve never seen him before," Moku asked casually, glancing at the water elf knight in full-body armor that didn’t reveal even his eyes. There was only a small gap between his helmet and the clash of breaths, indicating the living being within the iron crown.
"Ah, he’s just one of my royal guards, Prince Moku. Previously, he was on a mission, so he couldn’t welcome you in the throne room earlier," Aquenar said casually, showing no change in expression.
Moku just cleared his throat and nodded. He knew Aquenar didn’t want him to inquire further about the water elf knight behind him. Still, at least Moku had an idea of who this knight might be.
He was confident that this knight was one of the nine Level 7 Constellation Mages, the ultimate weapons of the Aquanorin Kingdom.
It seemed that the duel between Moku and Seraphina yesterday made Aquenar sense the danger he posed. Hence, he summoned one of the kingdom’s ultimate weapons for this meeting with Moku.
Moku wondered why Aquenar needed to summon this knight, as based on Moku’s strength, he couldn’t fathom defeating Aquenar, who was a Level 8 Constellation Mage. It would be a different story if he could fully control Pandava and the Mind Realm. However, until now, Moku felt like he had only scratched the surface of its true power.
Seeing that Moku had no further questions, Aquenar delved into the topic he wanted to discuss. From the information he received from the Prime Minister of the Wilwatikta Kingdom, it seemed that Arion didn’t like engaging in small talk. While Aquenar wanted to create a relaxed atmosphere with some small talk, he was afraid of souring Moku’s mood.
"Prince Moku, as I discussed earlier in the throne room, the Elven Species is currently at war with the Demon Species. Demons are mindless beasts that only bring destruction to this world. Countless lives have been lost due to their brutality, and based on what has been shown so far, it seems there is no room for negotiation or peace with them. If left unchecked, not only the soldiers and mages on the front lines will be their victims, but also the common people who lack the ability to defend themselves. I am certain that the demons will leave no survivors in their wake. They are a significant threat that we must eradicate immediately!"
Moku remained calm despite Aquenar’s fervent speech. The king began explaining the characteristics, nature, and brutality of demons in detail. He described them as a threat to all Mana Species on the Meer Continent.
While Moku agreed with Aquenar’s words, he still saw an opportunity to gain from this war. Therefore, he spoke in a low tone, "I have also heard stories about the demon species from Princess Seraphina. I, too, believe they are a significant threat. However, sending troops based solely on the threat from stories is not enough to move our Arion king. Moreover, considering Wilwatikta Kingdom is under the Bog Forest, even if the demon species manages to breach the front line defenses, they won’t be able to enter our territory. Personally, though I trust your words and those of Princess Seraphina, even so I lack the ability to be the mouthpiece of the Arion king."
Moku explained with regret and helplessness, giving Aquenar a glimpse of what the Arion king might think when asked to join the fight. Nevertheless, he expressed his support for Arion to join the battle alongside the elves. By making it clear that Seraphina had successfully changed his perspective, he hinted that what happened last night was not the last time.
Moku still wanted to savor Seraphina’s delightful company while he remained in Aquanorin. He didn’t bring one of his wives along on this trip so it would be a shame if on a cold night his hard cock wasn’t covered by a chewy cunt.
"Well, I understand the challenges you face as a prince. From what Prime Minister Ez has conveyed, you have four elder brothers, leaving you little room to make decisions beyond your father’s directives," Aquenar remarked, a mocking smirk dancing on his lips. Moku’s brow furrowed deeply, fully immersed in his role. With a tone laden with threat, he questioned, "What exactly do you imply by this, King Aquenar? While I respect you as Princess Seraphina’s father, is there not a line you should not cross?"
Aquenar swiftly shook his head, wiping the smirk from his face. "Oh, no, Prince Moku, I meant no offense. Yet, am I mistaken in stating that your chance at the throne is slim?" Moku scoffed loudly, his frustration evident. "Hmm, my inability to ascend is not due to weakness but merely birth order! Given adequate time and resources, I could easily surpass my brothers!" With a forceful slam of his hand on the table, Moku emphasized his point. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
"Is that so? What if one of those obstacles were removed? Could you then claim the throne from your elder brothers?" Aquenar inquired calmly, unruffled by Moku’s escalating anger.
"What are you implying, King Aquenar? I dislike these roundabout conversations! If you have something to say, speak plainly!" retorted Moku.
Aquenar smirked, his gaze steady. "What I mean is, with sufficient resources, what are the odds of you claiming the throne and besting your brothers?"
Moku fell silent, his gaze piercing as he scrutinized Aquenar, searching for any deception in the king’s eyes. Aquenar met his gaze unwaveringly. They remained locked in this silent exchange until Moku finally snorted and looked away. "What is it you seek in return for your assistance?"
"Hahaha... I ask for little, only the opportunity to align myself with the future king destined to lead a great kingdom like Wilwatikta. Consider it an investment. As a prince, you know the importance of seizing such opportunities before they slip away, no?" Aquenar chuckled.
Moku was taken aback, his silence betraying his contemplation. His furrowed brow suggested deep thought, yet Aquenar’s expression remained unchanged. No matter how hard Moku pondered, he could not discern Aquenar’s true intentions. For a Mana Species unfamiliar with others like the Arion, this guessing game was no easy feat. Even though Aquenar spoke the truth, Moku couldn’t discern if he was walking into a trap.
"Forgive me, King Aquenar, but I fail to see the benefit for you in this arrangement. Even in my youth, I understand that the most expensive thing can sometimes be free," Moku shook his head.
’Heh, he’s got a brain,’ Aquenar scoffed inside his heart. "Of course, that’s not all, Prince Moku. I also require your aid in persuading King Arion to join the battle on the front lines. While you may not wield much power, your influence at least could sway King Arion’s stance a little. That’s how dire our situation has become."
Moku nodded in agreement. "You’re correct. While I may not have much authority, I can assure you of 100 Arion warriors, each equivalent to a Level 5 Constellation Mage."
"Then I can breathe a sigh of relief! As for me, I pledge my full support to you. I’ll provide whatever resources you need to grow stronger and surpass your brothers!" Aquenar declared, rising to his feet and extending his hand.
Moku reciprocated the gesture, firmly shaking Aquenar’s hand. "Certainly, King Aquenar. I promise to defeat my brothers and ascend to the throne of Wilwatikta Kingdom as swiftly as possible!"
"Ah, I eagerly await that moment!" Both men smiled, their expressions hiding their divergent motives, as they exchanged a handshake.
