Chapter 383: The Demon of Volcano

Foras’s face was filled with bewilderment, his mouth agape, and his eyes wide open. He looked comical with his terrifying lizard-like visage.

However, Foras’s expression was understandable; he had just witnessed everything around him change in the blink of an eye. It was as if someone who had been licking an ice cream suddenly found excrement in their hand.

Moku didn’t even laugh because if he were in Foras’s position, he would show the same expression.

"H-How?" was the only word that could escape Foras’s mouth.

Moku just smiled, no longer explaining.

This battle had gone on for too long.

Although it seemed like the fight happened quickly, a full day had passed. He needed to return to Wilwatikta Kingdom for a meeting arranged by Nevare.

He didn’t want to face an enraged wife when he got home later.

"I apologize, Foras, but this battle has gone on for too long. It’s best we finish it now!" Without further ado, Moku lunged forward very quickly.

The Dawnshadow Blade in his hand remained still and gleaming. The dragon prana within Moku’s body surged strongly, causing the air around him to freeze, and space to shatter.

"Tch!" Foras clicked his tongue, turning to the Coin Determination still above his head.

Foras raised both hands in a boxing stance and charged forward.

They met in the middle with Foras delivering the first attack—a simple jab but with considerable force.

Moku weaved and dodged easily, but all the flower beds behind him suddenly exploded into rubble.

Moku swung the Karambit at Foras’s stomach, but Foras quickly avoided it by jumping into the air. However, Foras’s position became awkward, and Moku’s hand became fiery.

"Giant Brajadenta!"

Foras used the mana within his body to create a transparent shield around him.

However, Giant Brajadenta easily penetrated Foras’s defense. His body burned, and his skin began to melt, but the Mana Shield managed to reduce the damage he suffered.

Coin Determination flipped again, but this time, an angelic face appeared.

Foras jumped back, and his body no longer healed as quickly as before.

Moku seized the opportunity, but Foras’s mouth glowed brightly with charging Mana Beam energy.

A high-powered energy laser shot from Foras’s mouth at the speed of light. Moku tried to dodge, but the remaining wounds on his body hindered his movements.

As a result, the Mana Beam consumed his upper shoulder without mercy. One of Moku’s arms fell to the ground, but he continued to charge forward very quickly.

*Bang! *Bang! *Bang! *Bang! *Bang! *Bang!

They met again and exchanged punches rapidly.

Moku alternated between using Padakacarma: Shadow Form and Giant Brajadenta to match Foras’s speed and defense.

Any attack that didn’t have enough damage to destroy a quarter of the Bitter Maja would be immediately reversed onto Moku.

Although Foras could no longer use Amalgam of Death’s power, Coin Determination still functioned.

So, whether he liked it or not, Moku was forced to drain his reserve of dragon prana to use high-level Mantra.

However, Moku was no longer confined by the curses that Foras had unleashed earlier.

The Palm of Wrath, which drained his dragon prana, and the Amalgam of Death, which made Foras unable to die, had been disabled by Vivid Dream: Pandava.

Foras could no longer deceive his detection abilities either; the inner eye plus the black cat’s eyes allowed Moku to anticipate Foras’s movements even before he could make them.

As a result, the battle turned into a close combat encounter where Moku excelled.

In a short amount of time, Foras’s body was riddled with gaping wounds oozing fresh green blood. But Moku didn’t give Foras time to rest; he kept pressing his advantage, further cornering Foras.

*Bang!

Moku seized the opportunity when Foras was distracted by the pain from his wounds and delivered a powerful kick to Foras’s chin.

*BOOM!!!

The giant three-meter-tall body was thrown far away, crashing into the cliff and shattering it into rubble.

"Rain of Giant Brajadenta!" Moku punched the sky hard, and the surrounding air temperature increased drastically.

Hundreds of red Kala heads descended from the sky, raining down on the cliff where Foras had been thrown.

*BOOM!! *BOOM!! *BOOM!! *BOOM!! *BOOM!!

Instantly, a massive explosion occurred, incinerating the entire flower field into dust and causing the clear river to overflow.

*SHAAA! *SHAAA! *SHAAA!

The high air temperature caused dark clouds to gather, and soon after, heavy rain poured down, drenching the scorched earth.

Moku leaped high and arrived at a large hole in the blink of an eye. With his sharp vision, he could see Foras’s prone body at the bottom. Moku jumped into the hole and stopped right beside Foras.

The majestic giant demon now looked so pitiful, with almost half of his body melting from the recent attack.

"I lost," he said between irregular breaths.

"Yup, you lost..." Moku nodded with a neutral expression. "Any last words?" he asked.

"What for? A loser is a loser; why bother listening to his words?" Foras replied without hesitation.

Moku nodded again.

He raised his remaining hand, preparing for the final blow.

He wouldn’t use an attack that would destroy Foras’s body. A Level 6 Mana Core Demon was very valuable to him and might expedite his ascent to the fifth evolution gate.

So, Moku’s attack this time wasn’t aimed at Foras’s body but his soul. He had studied it while fighting Raiden. Maybe he couldn’t control the souls of the dead like Raiden, but at least he could destroy them.

"Spear of Death."

Dragon prana flowed into the Dawnshadow Blade, transforming it into a transparent spear. In one swift motion, Moku thrust it right at Foras’s throat.

But...

*CLANG!

Moku’s eyes widened, and all his hair stood on end.

Suddenly, a massive creature appeared in front of him, towering over four meters tall.

Its skin was blood-red, its eyes yellow slits like a snake’s, and its sharp teeth visible between its lips.

Each breath it took and exhaled caused the air temperature to rise, and the smell of sulfur permeated the surroundings.

Sharp horns like those of dragons in stories adorned its head like a crown.

"My name is Furfur, the demon of the volcano, the son of Momon, the sin of wrath. I have a message for you!" he said with a booming voice that shook the world.

Moku felt a power equivalent to King Aqueanar emanating from Furfur, no... Furfur was even stronger than the King of Aquanorin. If King Aqueanar is a mountain then Furfur is a volcano.

Moku sensed a rare danger he had seldom encountered before, as if standing next to Furfur alone could melt his body.

Moku saw the Spear of Death, capable of destroying souls, being stopped by Furfur with two fingers like toothpicks. Moku couldn’t even budge the Spear of Death despite using all his strength.

He could only smile resignedly, realizing he had no ability to hinder Furfur if he wished to kill him.

"Father..." came a faint sigh from Foras.

It seemed his injuries were far worse than Moku had thought. Foras’s regeneration speed couldn’t keep up with the damage caused by Moku’s Mantra.

Every attack Moku delivered would contain dragon prana within. Without sufficient Mana to counter it, the wounds on the enemy’s body would only worsen.

Moku stopped channeling dragon prana, and the Spear of Death reverted back to the Dawnshadow Blade.

"What brings you here? Do you want to save your son and seek revenge for him?" Moku said with a smirk.

He wasn’t afraid of Furfur. Although he couldn’t possibly win against him, he still had a way to escape.

There was no shame in retreating from a battle that couldn’t be won. A true fighter would choose to retreat, train again, and become stronger until they win.

But Furfur shook his head, "I have no business with a loser. I don’t care if you’ll kill him afterward, but I want you to focus only on me. As I told you earlier, I have a message for you, and you must listen to it in the right position!"

Suddenly, an immense pressure weighed down on Moku’s back, almost making him kneel immediately. Moku felt as if a huge mountain was falling on him from above.

But by clenching his fists until his knuckles bled and biting them with all his might, Moku refused to kneel before Furfur.

Beads of sweat began to bead on his forehead, Moku was no longer just using his strength but also the remnants of his dragon prana to keep himself from kneeling.

Death was a common and acceptable thing to him but kneeling in front of the enemy was the most disgusting thing to Moku.

Yet the pressure he felt increased as admiration began to appear on Furfur’s face.

Moku continued to resist, and the ground beneath him cracked and shattered, sinking him up to his knees. But Moku remained standing, and fortunately, the pressure he felt did not increase.

"It seems there is a reason why my son lost to you. In that case, I appreciate your bravery. Listen to the message from Those Who Came Before, Lucifer the Sin of Envy!" Furfur’s voice echoed once again.
