Was it her mother?

Li Siru grew even more panic-stricken. Why was her mother so hastily looking for her? Never, never had this happened before!

She bent down and slowly approached the door. As soon as she unlocked it, the door was violently pushed open, and she instinctively stepped back, hissing in pain.

Zhou Mingyu saw the places where her shoulders were exposed, covered in bruises, turned around and closed the door, then grabbed her, trembling with anger.

She reached out and pulled back the covering on Li Siru, shocked even more. "Lu, Lu Beiyao, that beastly thing, did he really do this to you, and torture you like this?"

Li Siru had been trying to hold herself together, but as Zhou Mingyu spoke, her eyes welled up and tears fell uncontrollably.

"I heard from the servants this morning that he left your room disheveled, and I didn’t believe it. I didn’t expect, didn’t expect... He’s supposed to be discussing marriage with your sister, and yet he did this beastly act. People say the Lu Family is the top family, but he turns out to be this kind of person!"

Zhou Mingyu burst into tears, "How did you end up like this?"
