The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign
Chapter 511 - 499: Do You Know Master Qin?
At three in the afternoon, the appointed time arrived.
After leaving the milk tea shop, Qin Fan and Li Yunzhe drove around for a while before the BMW 220 finally came to a stop outside the entrance of the Dragon Palace of the East Sea.
A glance around the entrance, which lacked an underground parking lot, revealed a throng of luxury cars. Rolls-Royces, Bentleys, supercars—you name it, they were all there. In comparison, Li Yunzhe’s convertible BMW, which looked so cool on campus, was no better than a beggar’s car. What a disgracefully shabby car!
To say nothing of the fact that the security guards on duty were staring at them with undisguised doubt. Are people in a car of this class even qualified to patronize the Dragon Palace of the East Sea?
Amidst the strange looks from the security guards, Chang Yuanyi, who had been waiting by the gate for nearly half an hour, hurried over. His face still showed traces of panic, but it was overshadowed by a look of respectful sycophancy.
"Master Qin!"
Walking up to the convertible, Chang Yuanyi reached from the outside, opened the door, and greeted him respectfully.
That "Master Qin," coupled with the reverent gesture of opening the door, left the security guards utterly agog and in disbelief. The great Young Master Chang is actually bowing and scraping like that? Has he gone mad?!
Amidst the security guards’ shock, Qin Fan simply gave a faint hum of acknowledgment and stepped out.
"What’s wrong? Where are your friends? None of them came?" Qin Fan asked in surprise, seeing that Chang Yuanyi was alone.
He didn’t care whether those profligates showed up or not. What he cared about was whether Ji Yi would be there if they didn’t.
"Master Qin, they came. They’re inside with Miss Ji!" Chang Yuanyi said with a fawning smile.
"Alright, let’s go inside then," Qin Fan said with a nod.
"Bro, uh, I’ll get going then! Call me if you need anything!" Li Yunzhe called out awkwardly.
Although he desperately wanted to witness a body-sushi banquet for himself, he didn’t dare to ask. The sting of rejection would be unbearable. After all, he knew his relationship with Qin Fan was nowhere near as close as that of Li Qiuzhe and the others. In his mind, the kind of treatment Qin Fan gave them would never extend to him.
But in the next moment, he realized his worry was for nothing.
Qin Fan smiled faintly. "Stop being so dramatic. Find a spot, park the car, and come inside with us."
"R-Really? I can go in too?" Li Yunzhe gulped, his eyes flashing with excitement as he exclaimed in delight.
"Can you stop talking so much nonsense for one day?" Qin Fan shot him an exasperated glance and said helplessly.
"Okay, okay, Bro, my bad! No more nonsense! I’ll park the car right now, immediately! Wait for me, it’ll be quick! Two minutes! No, one minute! No, no, no, I can’t keep you waiting. There’s a spot right up ahead! Thirty seconds... twenty seconds... ten! I’ll be there in ten seconds!"
In his excitement, Li Yunzhe rambled incoherently while cranking the steering wheel.
At this, Qin Fan could only manage a wry smile.
As for Chang Yuanyi, having witnessed how Qin Fan treated both Li Qiuzhe and now Li Yunzhe, he was filled with nothing but envy. Damn, kid. Your ancestors’ graves must be billowing with green smoke! he lamented to himself, overwhelmed with emotion. He knew that the destinies of these young men had been completely, if invisibly, altered. They might not realize it yet, but by latching onto Qin Fan and being treated so well by him, they were destined to hold sway in the Huaxia of the future, as long as they weren’t complete fools.
"Bro, I’m all set!"
True to his word, Li Yunzhe ran back in just over ten seconds. The only problem was that his car was now taking up two parking spots.
Just as Li Yunzhe finished speaking, a security guard hurried over. With an apologetic smile, he said, "Excuse me, Young Master. Sorry to bother you, but could you please move your car a bit? The spots are tight right now, and you’re taking up two."
"Ah!" Hearing this, Li Yunzhe reflexively turned to look. Sure enough, the convertible BMW was parked right in the middle of two spaces.
"Don’t you know who I am?" Chang Yuanyi interjected with a frown before Li Yunzhe could speak.
"Please forgive my ignorance, Young Master. I’m new here, so I haven’t yet had the chance to meet an esteemed person of your status! Hehe..." the guard said, keeping up his obsequious smile. You had to admit, the security guards here were expertly chosen; the man was a master of slick, silver-tongued flattery.
"How about I go park it properly? Bro, Young Master Chang, you don’t have to wait for me. I’ll find you guys inside, alright?" Li Yunzhe said quickly, not wanting to cause any trouble at a place like the Dragon Palace.
But as he made a move to leave, Chang Yuanyi grabbed his arm. "No need."
Then, turning to the smooth-talking guard, he declared, "Leave the car where it is! If anyone has a problem with it, tell them to come find me! My name is Chang Yuanyi!"
"This...!" The guard was immediately put in a difficult position.
Before he could formulate a response, another guard rushed over, pulled his colleague back, and apologized profusely. "So sorry, Young Master Chang, so sorry! He’s new and doesn’t know the ropes. Please don’t hold it against him!"
Nearby, Qin Fan just shook his head at the unnecessary melodrama. He took the keys from a stunned Li Yunzhe and handed them to the new guard. "Could you please move it for us? Just leave the keys with the greeter at the door. We’ll pick them up on our way out. Thanks."
"Of course, of course! Thank you for your understanding, Young Master, thank you!" The new guard took the keys, his face breaking into a relieved, fawning smile.
"Let’s go. We’re wasting time." Qin Fan gave the guards a small smile and a nod, then glanced at Chang Yuanyi and Li Yunzhe before taking the lead and walking toward the entrance.
This small detail made Chang Yuanyi flush with embarrassment again. His face turning slightly red, he quickly stammered, "Yes, of course," and hurried to the front to lead the way.
「On the eighteenth floor of the Dragon Palace of the East Sea.」
The space spanned several thousand square meters, and every corner exuded an aura of luxury. But beneath the magnificent splendor lay an air of decay, for the various dignitaries present were all parading around in their sanctimonious masks.
In one corner, several young men kept glancing toward the entrance. Beside them, three beautiful young women were fiddling with their cameras.
"Hey, where is that guy... what’s-his-name, Wei Shihao? Why isn’t he here?" one of the women, dressed in sportswear and light makeup, asked after adjusting her camera.
Wei Shihao was the unfortunate soul Qin Fan had sent to the ICU.
At the mention of his name, the young scions from Beijing immediately looked away from the entrance. They exchanged subconscious glances, their expressions growing incredibly complex.
"What’s with you guys? Wasn’t it Wei Shihao who invited us? Where is he?" the woman in sportswear pressed.
"Yeah! Where’s Young Master Wei?" the other two women asked, equally puzzled.
Under Ji Yi’s persistent questioning, one of the profligates finally bit the bullet and asked the question they had been holding back for so long. "Miss Ji, forgive my impertinence, but... do you know Master Qin?"
