The Rich Cultivator
Chapter 595. Territory Defense
"Here..."
Kristina gently pulled Tyler by the sleeve and led him toward the west. The eastern side —where the towering flowers bloomed and giant bees and butterflies gathered— remained untouched, peaceful as always.
She stopped near a patch of disturbed soil and pointed downward.
Tyler crouched and examined the ground closely.
They are small and crude foot prints.
"...These look like goblin footprints," Tyler said. "And not just one or two. There are a lot of them."
Kristina nodded seriously.
"A pack of goblins."
Tyler frowned.
"But I thought they wouldn’t dare to enter our area," Kristina continued. "They usually avoid places claimed by powerful beings. Still... look at the marks. They hesitated. Circled around. Left and came back again."
She traced the uneven pattern with her finger.
"They’re either scouting... or waiting for a chance to attack later. That’s how goblins work."
Tyler straightened, eyes narrowing.
"I thought they wouldn’t dare enter the spider’s territory either," he said quietly.
A thought crossed his mind.
Maybe Gailo’s presence is fading... because we’re here now.
That realization sat heavy in his mind.
Without saying another word, Tyler turned and led Kristina back toward the house.
Once inside their territory, Tyler stopped and spoke firmly.
"We’re going to build a fence."
Kristina blinked. "A fence?"
"Yes," Tyler nodded. "Around this territory. All of it."
He looked toward the surrounding forest, "If his presence kept them away before, we’ll have to just use it again."
Kristina titled her head with confusion.
He chose Red Sandalwood again.
The wood was strong, dense, and durable—perfect for long-term defense.
As Tyler prepared his tools, he glanced at his status window.

Skill: DNA Fertilizer (Level 2)
Skill: Slash (Level 1)
---
Tyler stared at it for a moment.
"...Slash?"
He wasn’t sure when it had appeared. Probably during the countless hours he spent cutting logs into planks using the spider’s shed leg.
For a moment, tears welled up in his eyes.
In his previous world, no matter how hard he tried, he had never been able to properly use saber or sword arts. Ironically, his younger self had been considered a sword genius —talented beyond measure.
Yet here he was. In this strange world.
Holding a blade-like weapon, Finally able to cut using a skill. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
Tyler exhaled slowly and shook his head.
"...No time to get sentimental."
But before starting the fence, he took a detour.
He went to the spider’s burrow.
The shed skin of Gailo still lay there, massive and silent. Tyler approached it carefully and struck off a large chunk. The piece broke apart easily, crumbling like a hardened biscuit.
He lifted the fragment.
Then he turned toward Serena.
She stiffened immediately as Tyler brought the fragment closer. Her fur stood on end, and her pupils shrank. She could feel it—a deep, instinctive pressure that made her uneasy.
"This will work," Tyler said confidently. "Do it, Serena."
Serena hesitated only for a second.
Then she touched the pearl.
The world shifted.
Inside the pocket-dimension pearl, Tyler stood alone with his copper pot. He placed the chunk of spider skin inside and focused.
"Big... big..." he murmured.
The copper pot expanded obediently.
Minutes later, Tyler emerged back into the real world, ready to work.
He began building the fence.
But he didn’t simply plant wooden planks into the ground.
Before setting each plank, he buried a piece of Gailo’s shed skin beneath the soil and placed the plank directly above it. One by one, he repeated the process, forming a continuous boundary.
As he worked, something interesting happened.
A group of giant bees that had been hovering nearby suddenly froze mid-air. The moment they sensed the pressure emanating from the buried fragments, they scattered instantly, fleeing in different directions.
Tyler watched them go.
"...Good."
He reinforced the structure using Dia’s adhesive web fluid. Since Dia was exhausted from helping build the house, Tyler didn’t call her out. Instead, he used the copper pot to copy the glue he already had.
Plank by plank, the fence rose.
The work was exhausting, but Tyler pushed through, driven by purpose.
By the time he finished, sweat dripped down his back, and his arms ached.
He stepped back and surveyed his work.
The fence wasn’t just a physical barrier.
It carried a presence.
"Now even goblins won’t dare..." Tyler said, then paused. "...Probably."
Chole handed him a cup of milk.
Tyler didn’t bother with subtlety. He drank straight from her "cup," sighing in satisfaction.
Meanwhile, Dia stirred.
She crawled out of the house briefly, looking around in confusion. Her small body trembled as she sensed her father’s presence everywhere—faint, fragmented, but unmistakable.
She tilted her head.
Confused.
Then she lost interest entirely and went back inside to sleep.
Later, goblins returned.
They crept cautiously toward the territory, eyes sharp, weapons ready.
Then they felt the faint pressure of high level creature. It’s even terrifying than orcs.
Their eyes widened in terror.
Without a word, they turned and ran—vanishing back into the forest from where they came.
The fence stood quietly.
And the territory remained undisturbed.
"Good thing Gailo left his skin here." Tyler said.

Meanwhile, somewhere far away, a massive dragon flew through the endless sky. Its wings cut through the clouds with slow, powerful beats. Resting lazily atop its head was a spider, sprawled out comfortably as if lying on a warm rock.
"Achoo...!"
The sudden sneeze made the dragon flinch mid-flight, its wings wobbling slightly.
The spider lifted its head groggily. "Did I catch a cold...?" it thought, mildly annoyed.
It shook its body once, legs stretching, then settled back down and returned to sleep without another care.
The dragon let out a long sigh of relief and continued flying, soaring higher and deeper across the sky until the distant outlines of human settlements came into view far below.
Suddenly, the spider’s eyes snapped open.
It glanced downward.
Then jumped.
The dragon halted mid-air for a brief moment, then relaxed when it realized the weight was gone. Without looking back, it turned and flew away, disappearing into the clouds.
Below, the people of the town panicked at the sight of the dragon overhead. Shouts echoed through the streets, alarms rang, and chaos briefly erupted.
Then... nothing.
The dragon left without attacking.
Confused and relieved, the people slowly calmed down, never noticing the spider monster that quietly slipped into the town.
"I wonder if I can find a cursed person," the spider thought lazily.
In the next instant, it vanished — beginning its journey to find and cure a cursed person and complete the Orion Cube mission.
