Chapter 642: 642. TinY-LER

After Tyler was ambushed and swallowed by the giant spider, Kaeya reacted instantly.

Her sword flashed as she slashed forward, holy light tearing through the air toward the monstrous arachnid. The blade of light struck true, carving into the spider’s hardened body. Its massive form staggered slightly before slowly turning its attention toward her.

Eight eyes locked onto Kaeya.

They glowed an eerie blue.

The spider’s mouth split open, revealing crackling energy within. Before Kaeya could reposition, a concentrated beam of blue electric plasma erupted straight toward her.

She gritted her teeth and swung her sword with both hands.

"Sword Skill: Gigantic Holy Sword."

A colossal sword of light manifested in front of her, intercepting the beam. The two forces collided violently, light and electricity grinding against each other. The ground beneath her feet shattered as the pressure overwhelmed her defense. Even with the skill active, she was pushed back uncontrollably.

The beam forced both Kaeya and the giant light sword through the forest, tearing a path through trees and rock alike. Her body was hurled across the mountainside until she finally crashed into the rocky terrain far away.

She tumbled several times before coming to a halt.

Kaeya coughed violently, blood spilling from her mouth. Pain screamed through her entire body as she groaned and forced herself upright. Her vision blurred, but she steadied herself and stood.

The battlefield around her was silent.

Too silent.

Scattered across the ground were the corpses of adventurers. Their armor was scorched black, bodies twisted unnaturally. Blue electric arcs still danced across their remains, snapping and crackling faintly in the air. Some looked as though they had tried to flee. Others had never even stood a chance.

Kaeya’s grip tightened on her sword.

Then she heard it.

Soft skittering sounds echoed from all directions.

Small spiders began emerging from the shadows, dozens of them. Each had a swollen blue abdomen pulsing faintly with energy. They surrounded her slowly, deliberately, cutting off every escape route.

Kaeya took a defensive stance, preparing to strike.

But before they attacked, heavy footsteps thundered in the distance.

The ground trembled.

The smaller spiders suddenly froze. One by one, they turned away from Kaeya and began retreating toward the source of the sound, abandoning her completely.

Kaeya frowned, confused.

Then the forest parted.

The giant spider appeared, the same one that had devoured Tyler.

Its massive body loomed over the clearing. As it opened its mouth, a powerful suction force pulled the smaller spiders off the ground. They were dragged helplessly through the air and swallowed whole, disappearing into its gaping maw.

Kaeya stared in disbelief.

She barely had time to react before thick webs shot out from the spider’s mouth, racing toward her.

Kaeya leapt into the air. A blade of light formed beneath her feet, and she used it as a foothold, pushing herself higher. While airborne, she slashed toward the treetops.

The massive tree cracked and collapsed, crashing down toward the spider.

But the monster simply caught it mid-fall.

With terrifying strength, it hurled the tree back at her.

Kaeya twisted her body and narrowly dodged, but the impact clipped her sword, knocking it from her hand. The weapon spun through the air and landed several meters away.

She landed hard and immediately sprinted toward it.

Too late.

A web shot out and wrapped around her wrist, stopping her cold. Another web followed, binding her other arm. She struggled, but more webs lashed out, aiming for her legs.

Thinking fast, Kaeya kicked off the ground and struck her fallen sword with her foot. The blade slid across the ground toward her. She caught it just in time and slashed, cutting through the webs restraining her arms.

But the spider adjusted.

The webs didn’t snap.

They stretched.

Like elastic, the strands recoiled violently, snapping back around her arms. More webs anchored themselves to nearby trees and snapped back again, binding her legs tightly.

Her sword slipped from her fingers and fell.

The spider slowly retreated, pulling the webs taut. Kaeya’s arms and legs were dragged apart, stretched wide until she was completely immobilized, suspended helplessly in midair.

She struggled, muscles screaming, but the bindings only tightened.

The spider’s face began to glow.

Blue energy gathered once more.

Kaeya raised her head, breathing hard, knowing, this time, there would be no room to escape.

At the same moment she struggled against the tightening webs, the giant spider’s stomach began to glow.

A deep, muffled boom echoed from within its body.

The blue glow flickered, then vanished.

The spider froze mid-attack. The energy gathering around its face dissipated as it tilted its massive head slightly, confused. One of its jagged legs reached down and pressed against its own abdomen, as if checking what had gone wrong.

Nothing happened.

After a brief pause, the spider hissed in irritation and slowly turned its glowing eyes back toward Kaeya, preparing to finish her off.

Then—

BOOM.

This time the sound was violent.

The spider’s stomach burst outward with crackling electric arcs. Its hardened abdomen crumpled inward as dozens of shattered, charred mini electric spiders exploded out, scattering across the ground like broken debris. Their blue bodies twitched briefly before going completely still. None of them showed the slightest sign of life.

The giant spider let out a distorted screech.

Before Kaeya could even react, something else burst through the collapsing abdomen.

A human figure shot out violently and slammed into the ground outside, rolling several times before finally skidding to a stop.

"I am freeee—!"

The voice echoed triumphantly across the forest.

Behind him, the giant spider’s massive body finally gave out. It collapsed sideways with a thunderous crash, shaking the ground and causing a small landquake. Trees swayed violently, and loose rocks tumbled down the slope.

Kaeya’s eyes widened in disbelief.

"Tyler?"

The person who had escaped slowly stood up.

It was Tyler.

But something was very, very wrong.

"Why are you tiny?" Kaeya asked, her voice filled with confusion.

"Tiny?" Tyler replied in a high-pitched, childish, almost cartoonish voice. He blinked, then tilted his head upward.

His gaze landed on Kaeya.

A giant Kaeya, tied up in glowing webs, her torn dress fluttering slightly, arms and legs stretched wide and suspended in midair. He can see a torn between her legs too.

His jaw dropped. As he raised his head even upwards and saw Gigantic breasts.

"Why are you sooo huge?" Tyler shouted back.

Kaeya stared at him.

Then stared again.

Tyler was barely the height of a baby.

Before she could respond, Tyler turned and noticed her fallen sword lying nearby. Without hesitation, he ran toward it, grabbed the hilt with both hands, and spun his entire tiny body around to build momentum.

With a sharp grunt, he hurled the sword upward.

The blade sliced cleanly through the web binding Kaeya’s right hand.

She reacted instantly— grabbing the sword midair. Light swords formed around her in rapid succession, flashing as they slashed through the remaining webs. In seconds, the bindings disintegrated.

Kaeya landed gracefully and walked straight toward Tyler.

Without a word, she bent down and lifted him up with one hand.

Tyler crossed his arms, clearly displeased.

"My appearance is the same," he said defensively, "but my height is... this."

Kaeya examined him closely.

"Must be the spider’s skill," Tyler continued. "It shrunk me when it gobbled me."

"It’ll wear off," Kaeya said with a small smile.

"When?" Tyler asked immediately.

"Maybe soon," she replied. "Or maybe a day later."

Tyler rolled his eyes dramatically.

Kaeya couldn’t help herself, she laughed.

"Don’t worry," she said lightly, lifting him a little higher. "Mommy will take care of you."

The teasing faded as she scanned their surroundings.

Tyler’s expression hardened. "What happened to the others?"

Kaeya’s smile disappeared. "Looks like everyone was ambushed," she said grimly.

Tyler shook his head. "Not everyone."

He pointed toward a distant slope, the same direction where they had been stalking Olsen and the healer girl earlier. The forest there felt different. Too quiet.

They moved cautiously. Nearly an hour passed before they finally found it, a narrow, well-hidden cave mouth concealed behind broken stone and hanging roots.

Kaeya’s eyes narrowed. "Looks like we found it. Let’s inform the camp."

She raised her hand and fired a flare into the sky. The bright streak cut through the clouds, visible for miles.

Back at the camp, people noticed the signal almost instantly. Orders were shouted, equipment gathered, and squads began moving toward the mountain.

Meanwhile, at the cave entrance, silence pressed down heavily.

Tiny Tyler stared into the darkness. His Eye of the Forest failed to activate, again. The cave stretched inward, twisting deeper and deeper, swallowing light after just a few steps.

"A tunnel leading into demon-occupied territory?" Tyler wondered aloud.

"Maybe," Kaeya replied. "But I’m more concerned about where Olsen and the girl went."

"They are the only one who doesn’t got ambushed." Tyler said.

Kaeya’s gaze sharpened. "That doesn’t prove anything. They might’ve found the passage and gone ahead."

""They didn’t send any signal," Tyler said quietly.

Kaeya didn’t answer immediately.

Then she spoke, calm but heavy. "Then he might be something else."

She met Tyler’s eyes.

"Not just a random demon."

The words settled like weight in the air.

"He’s probably the demon general himself."
