Young Master Su immediately nodded, snapping out of his own awe. "Begin the inspection process."

Several experienced guild workers quickly stepped forward, clipboards ready, and began counting and inspecting the carcasses one by one to ensure the materials were pristine. After some time had passed, the workers finally stepped back from the mountain of beasts. They turned toward the centre of the room and bowed respectfully before reporting their final findings.

"Young Master Su, the count is perfectly correct, and the materials are all in excellent condition." One of the lead inspectors stepped forward and handed the official, stamped report directly to Young Master Su.

The business-oriented smile on Young Master Su’s face widened noticeably at the confirmation. "Excellent work, everyone."

Without wasting another moment of anyone’s time, he immediately turned toward one of his trusted subordinates waiting by the door. "Bring out the payment."

The subordinate nodded sharply and hurried away toward the secure vault room at the back of the warehouse.

A few moments later, several strong guild members returned, grunting slightly while carrying numerous heavy, reinforced iron chests between them. The very moment the chests were placed firmly onto the stone ground, a series of dull, heavy metallic clinking sounds echoed from within. The weight and the sound made it completely obvious to everyone present that they were filled to the brim with a substantial amount of wealth.

"Student Bai, here is the full payment for the goods, exactly as we previously agreed during our negotiations." Young Master Su stated with a polite, satisfied smile.

Bai Xifeng nodded. She immediately stepped forward, unhurried, and carefully confirmed the amount inside the chests. Although she trusted Young Master Su’s impeccable reputation and the standing of the guild, business was still business, and it paid to be thorough. After checking the contents and confirming that every single coin and spirit stone matched the agreed price exactly, she waved her hand casually and stored all of the heavy iron chests inside her storage rune in the blink of an eye.

"The business is done. We will be leaving now." Bai Xifeng said, offering a content smile.

"Have a pleasant and safe trip back to the school, Student Bai." Young Master Su replied politely, bowing slightly.

"Thank you." Bai Xifeng nodded in farewell.

Young Master Su personally escorted the two girls all the way through the winding corridors to the front entrance of the Armament Master Guild. Only after they had safely stepped outside onto the bustling public streets did he finally turn around and return inside to manage the new inventory.

Once they were a few paces away from the guild gates, Pan Biya turned her head.

"Junior Sister Bai, are you in a hurry right now?" Pan Biya suddenly asked.

"In a hurry?" Bai Xifeng repeated, tilting her head slightly in confusion as she looked at her senior.

"Yes. Are you in a desperate hurry to return to the school grounds?" Pan Biya clarified, gesturing to the open street.

A wide, mischievous grin immediately appeared on Bai Xifeng’s face.

"Of course not!" Bai Xifeng replied without a single shred of hesitation. "I am actually planning to walk around the city for a while and find something good to eat."

Pan Biya could not help but grin after hearing such an honest, food-motivated answer.

"Then let’s go." Pan Biya nodded enthusiastically.

Thus, the two girls began wandering through the vibrant city streets together, enjoying the lively atmosphere. Naturally, Bai Xifeng took the lead, heading straight toward the famous food district she had visited previously during her past trips.

As they walked through the lively, crowded streets filled with the rich aromas of roasting meats and sweet spices, many of the local stall owners immediately recognised Bai Xifeng’s distinct figure. Interestingly, their recognition was not because of her exceptional beauty. It was because of her brutal criticism.

Back then, Bai Xifeng had sampled food from numerous stalls in this very market, and she had bluntly pointed out various flaws in their culinary techniques. At the same time, however, she had generously offered detailed suggestions and alternative ingredients on how each vendor could improve their dishes. Instead of becoming offended by her harsh honesty, many of the vendors had chosen to take a leap of faith and follow her advice.

The results had been surprisingly effective. Their food tasted significantly better than before, attracting many more hungry customers and greatly improving their daily business. To them, she was a lucky charm.

"Young Lady Bai! Long time no see!" A female food stall vendor greeted Bai Xifeng warmly, waving her apron frantically the moment she spotted her walking by.

"Hi, Auntie Su. How is business lately?" Bai Xifeng asked, stepping up to the counter with a bright smile.

"It is absolutely booming!" Auntie Su laughed happily, her face glowing with joy. "It is all because of your advice that my stall has become so incredibly lively every single day."

Auntie Su specialised in making steamed buns that originally contained only basic meat fillings. Previously, when Bai Xifeng had been wandering the streets craving something sweet, she happened to buy several plain buns from the stall. While eating them, she had casually suggested that Auntie Su try filling some of the buns with a sweet red bean paste instead.

At first, Auntie Su had not believed that such a combination would taste good to the locals. However, wanting to prove the young girl wrong, she had reluctantly tried making a small experimental batch. To her utter surprise, the result was absolutely delicious. The rich sweetness of the red bean paste complemented the soft, fluffy bun perfectly.

Most commoners in the city rarely ate fine pastries because they were generally considered expensive, noble food that failed to properly satisfy a working man’s hunger.
