The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL]
Chapter 1045: Plans for the Future
It was a chaotic morning, alright.
Full of laughter, mini heart attacks, and the occasional existential crisis—but overall?
Rather lovely.
If they chose to ignore the way the ground seemed to thump as Princess Kira charged straight for King Garrick to demand permission to get married that very same day—because why not—then one could generally say it was a rather pleasant morning.
Kyle, for one, had already started saying his prayers as he asked to speak with their parents about the remaining legal procedures and to apologize for the extremely hasty bonding.
Meanwhile, his little star was happily chatting away with his good brother, going over everything that had happened like they weren’t responsible for half the hall nearly collapsing earlier.
Thankfully, Xavier stayed.
The Imperial husband had a very strong feeling that if he didn’t sit in on this conversation, things would spiral into dangerous territory again. He absolutely could not risk ending up with a corrupted wife for the second time in one morning and decided to actively protect his sanity.
And, as expected—
He was right.
Fueled by the food he’d inhaled earlier, the mop had seemingly forgotten about his aching back and behind. Ollie bounced right back into high spirits and immediately grabbed Luca’s attention by holding out his hand.
"Look, Brother! It’s actually the real deal!" Ollie exclaimed, proudly presenting the ring like it was a national treasure. "I had no idea he was getting this when we visited the Nox family estate!"
"Woah! Brother, you actually stopped by his house first?" Luca asked, eyes lighting up.
"Yes!" Ollie nodded eagerly. "But like he said, that was the family home and wasn’t something that was solely his."
"So to reassure me about our future, he decided to show me his actual house and proposed there!"
He leaned in, clearly bursting with excitement.
"And then I was told that we’re capital neighbors now, brother!"
"Huh?" Luca blinked. "Capital neighbors...?"
The excitable blonde nodded, eyes closing in satisfaction before snapping them open again, practically glowing.
"Your husband owns the next-door property, and Jax owns the other one! So just like that—we’re legally neighbors now!"
He laughed, covering his mouth as if he’d just dropped the most delightful piece of gossip.
But surprisingly, his good brother didn’t laugh.
He just sat there.
Stunned.
"...What?" then after a beat, the golden-eyed cadet asked, slowly turning toward his husband.
Xavier, who had been watching this unfold, nodded calmly.
"If he’s referring to that property, then yes, he’s right," the Prince said. "I also used to live there when I was younger. And since we’re married, that one—as well as the others—are yours too. So yes, that makes you neighbors in that way."
A pause.
"We can go there one of these days, if you’d like to see it. And if not that then maybe you’d want to see the others instead..."
He trailed off.
Because his little wife...
Looked like he had just discovered a new law of the universe.
"Luca... by any chance," Xavier added carefully, "have you not checked the directory pertaining to non-current assets?"
Ideally it was a curious but harmless question.
And yet—
It seemed to have shattered something in the mind of his beloved.
The money-grubber’s eyes widened into saucers.
If the sounds of Ka-ching could echo then everyone would have been able to hear the sound that had just taken over his mind and body.
Because, in all honesty, back then, as someone who barely knew anything outside of Planet Nova, Luca hadn’t really understood property value in that sense. How was he supposed to grasp the significance of Plot Number 5859542 with unfamiliar coordinates when he was still trying to wrap his head around being in a completely different body?
Well, if anything, he knew about land on Planet Nova and how absurdly expensive that was, sure—but beyond that?
He preferred counting Star coins.
Kinda sorta tangibly.
Visibly.
And with immense joy.
So no.
He hadn’t particularly checked, especially when he was already more than happy with what he was counting every night.
D-29, however, had.
And it was already ahead of its financially questionable host, as it had a compilation of said assets. The only thing was that it had no idea what to do with it as a system that was also influenced by its Host’s hoarding behavior.
But after getting wind of such significance, the little system had gone to re-check the data.
"H-host!" D-29 chirped urgently. "It seems there is simply no way to become homeless!"
"...WHAT?!" Luca, quite possibly deranged at the moment, practically shrieked.
"Yes, host! In the event of unsettling circumstances, there are even properties located in the farthest mapped galaxy clusters!"
Silence.
The Prince and Luca’s newly married blonde brother exchanged a look.
Because they were now listening to a very passionate discussion about homelessness...
From someone who literally carried an entire home on his back.
But that was just how Luca was.
Although right now, pleased beyond compare—
Luca the Landowner had awakened.
And he was thriving.
Seeing just how bright his little wife looked, the devoted husband leaned closer and whispered,
"If you find a place you like and the owners are willing to sell, we can buy those too."
A beat.
"I’ll even register them under your name."
That did it.
The money-grubber froze.
Then trembled.
Luca felt like he was about to develop a fever from what he just heard.
Because yes, he knew they had land.
Too much land, even.
But this?
Land under his name?
Wow!
A legitimate landowner.
The golden-eyed money bag didn’t even hesitate.
He jumped up and kissed Xavier on both cheeks, thanking his husband for being the absolute best there was as D-29 added its own take by letting out projections of poppers.
But just as the overjoyed Luca pulled back—
"It’s perfect, right?" Ollie suddenly chimed in. "Now that you’re a landowner, we just have to think about the best place to raise our kids!"
"Surely you’d tell me when you’re planning on having children, right?!"
The groundbreaking mop said it so casually.
Like they were discussing spare parts they were planning to buy at the market.
The windows of the estate thankfully held together well even after such words left Ollie’s mouth.
But maybe not so much after the Kyros heir responded.
"Brother!" Luca immediately turned to him, eyes bright.
His little wife, who was still clinging to his neck, didn’t even pause before answering.
"Okay!" Luca chirped happily. "I’ll tell you, brother! At the same time then! If we have a house, then it shouldn’t be a problem!"
And that—
That was when Xavier choked.
"!!!"
Technically, his other senses were frozen in place and had it not been for his throat seizing up in surprise, he would’ve just been stunned in silence.
Because who wouldn’t be?
That was it?
That was all it took?
He had spent who knows how long thinking about this. Turning it over in his head, wondering how to approach the topic, what Luca would say, what Luca would feel—
And now?
Now his wife was smiling.
Beaming.
As if this was the most natural conclusion in the world.
No hesitation.
No fear.
Just simple acceptance and even a clear trace of excitement.
Xavier existed right there, stunned, staring at that bright, open expression.
Because really...
With his beloved wife looking like that—
How could he not buy more land?
