The Substitute Ex-Wife: Seeking a Divorce
Chapter 182: Waiting At the Door
"Who? Who is it?" Eric asked nervously as his face was pressed to the ground.
There was no light in the house, so he couldn’t see anyone clearly. Bruce stood up without saying anything and took the phone from Eric’s pocket.
"What... what are you doing? You want money? I have it here."
As soon as Eric finished speaking, Bruce picked up his hand and placed it on the unlock button. He didn’t know what this person was going to do and thought that he wanted money, but this didn’t seem to be the case.
"Okay, throw him out," Bruce said after looking at his phone again and confirming that the message had been deleted and put back in Eric’s pocket.
"What... what are you guys doing? Did Miranda ask you guys to come?" Eric, who was being pressed up from the ground, came back to his senses and said.
"Buddies, did that b*tch Miranda ask you guys to come? I’ll pay you guys double the amount she gave you," Eric said quickly when he saw that no one said anything.
"Double? How much can you give? From what I know, you used up all the money on your card. What woman did you scam the money you’re spending from?" Bruce looked up at Eric.
"Brother, don’t worry about where my money came from. That b*tch Miranda still owes me three million. When she gives me the money, don’t worry, I’ll give you double." It was too dark, and Eric didn’t notice Bruce’s appearance, so he subconsciously thought that he was someone Miranda had hired.
"Double? You should save some for yourself. After today, I’m afraid you won’t even have the money to sleep on the streets." After saying that, Bruce waved his hand and a few people picked Eric up and threw him out.
"Do you see this recording? Let me tell you, if you dare to come here again in the future, I’ll make you regret it every time you come." Bruce took out a recording pen and played the recording of him blackmailing Miranda.
"Miranda, that b*tch, actually dared to plot against me," Eric said fiercely after listening to the recording.
"Remember this. If the recording is exposed, it’s hard to say if Miranda will still be popular or not, but you’ll probably have to go be a musician in prison." Bruce put away the recording pen and looked at Bruce, who was on the ground.
"And I heard that you found a show where you’ll be a mentor on. Why don’t you have any idea about your own capabilities? If you dare to appear in front of Miranda again, you won’t be able to work in the music industry anymore." With that, Bruce turned around and left.
He gripped the recording pen in his hand. When he sent Miranda and the others away today, Miranda’s manager had been a few steps behind and was holding Miranda’s bag, so Bruce had a chance to get the recording.
After sitting in the car and thinking about it for a long time, Bruce came back to his senses and remembered that the door lock of the room had just been changed. Eric could not enter and the message on his phone had been deleted by him. Nobody could threaten Miranda anymore. He could rest assured.
When they finally left and were out of sight, Eric got up from the ground and took out the key in his pocket. He wanted to open the door quickly. He still had a few songs he had just made.
"F*ck, the door lock is changed." He couldn’t get it open after twisting it a few times and cursed.
"Miranda, you b*tch, how dare you find someone to mess with me?" Eric took out his phone and called Miranda. As soon as the call connected, he cursed.
"Eric, what nonsense are you spouting in the middle of the night?" Miranda asked while listening to Eric. She thought he was going crazy again. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
"Don’t you fucking know what I’m talking about? Don’t think that I can’t threaten you just because you found someone to change the door lock and delete the messages from my phone." Eric was already certain that the person who threatened him tonight was Miranda, so he said bluntly.
On the other end of the line, Miranda listened to Eric and finally understood. So someone had deleted the messages from Eric’s phone and changed the door lock. Who was it? She thought about it and wondered if it was Owen, but he probably wouldn’t.
"Miranda, say something. Are you feeling guilty? Afraid?" Eric saw that the person on the other end of the phone had been silent and said.
"What are you talking about? I should applaud that Samaritan. God is watching. You’ve done so many bad things, so someone dealt with you without me doing anything," Miranda said into the phone when she came back to her senses.
"Samaritan? Don’t think I don’t know that you did this," Eric said fiercely again as he listened to Miranda.
"It doesn’t matter if I did it or not. The messages on your phone have been deleted and the door lock has been changed. We have nothing to talk about. If you continue to act like this, don’t blame me for being ruthless." Now that Eric had nothing to threaten Miranda with, she didn’t stand on ceremony and hung up.
Eric listened to the beeping sound on the phone and cursed. "Fuck." He was indignant, but when he called again, he was blocked.
