"You’re way too arrogant. Do you think this is your house?" Tang Wu apparently thought Lin Mu was being too overconfident and said to the nearby policeman, "Officer, this is the man who attacked my friend. You can arrest him now."

After Tang Wu said this, the policemen nearby didn’t move. They all knew Lin Mu’s identity, and only a fool would provoke a big shot like Lin Mu. They weren’t fools, so there was no need to take a risk and offend Lin Mu. If they could arrest him, Director Qi would have acted long ago. Since Director Qi didn’t speak, who below would dare to act? It would be suicide to do so!

"Heh, do you think your words matter?" Lin Mu chuckled, placing his hands on his hips.

Tang Wu was surprised; he hadn’t expected the policemen not to act or even show any reaction.

"Officer, the culprit who injured someone is right here. Why aren’t you arresting him?" Tang Wu’s tone was cold, and Fang Zhongxin behind him was also visibly angry. If it weren’t for his speech impairment, he would have been cursing already.

At this moment, the policeman standing nearby spoke, "Do you have any evidence?"

"What evidence do you need? He’s the criminal who attacked someone! He hit my friend, and surely my friend would recognize him?" Tang Wu said angrily.

"Sorry, without evidence, we can’t arrest anyone indiscriminately. The victim doesn’t count as evidence unless there’s a third party present; that’s what counts as evidence," the policeman said to Tang Wu.

The policeman’s words almost made Fang Zhongxin spit blood. A third party witness? What kind of third party bird witness? The only person present at the time was An Qi’Er, and she obviously wouldn’t be a witness.

"There was no third party present at the time. How can we find a witness?" Tang Wu said to the policeman.

"Then I’m sorry, but without evidence, we won’t arrest anyone randomly," the policeman said.

"Heh, fool, did you hear that? This police station isn’t our home, but it’s pretty much the same!" Lin Mu chuckled and said.

Tang Wu and Fang Zhongxin looked at Lin Mu’s gloating expression, and it made them furious beyond belief. They finally realized that these policemen clearly didn’t want to arrest anyone. If they did, they would have done so long ago. These remarks obviously favored Lin Mu!

"Hmph, I want to complain to your director!" Tang Wu said angrily.

"The director’s office is over there, feel free to lodge your complaint," the policeman said nonchalantly, while in his heart he thought Tang Wu and Fang Zhongxin were fools and cursed, "Two fools! They come to report without understanding the situation? The director is his wife; do you think she’d arrest her own husband? Fool!"

"What’s going on?" At this point, the Chief Police Officer walked out.

Tang Wu glared at Qi Manlin, surprised at her beauty and irresistible charm, completely flawless!

"You’re Director Qi, right?" Tang Wu’s voice unconsciously softened.

"Yes, I am Director Qi Manlin," the Chief Police Officer nodded.

"Oh, I want to report your police staff. He’s the real culprit who hit my friend, but when I asked your officers to arrest him, they didn’t move. This is clearly letting the criminal off the hook," Tang Wu pointed at the policeman and said.

Qi Manlin glared at the policeman and asked, "Ah Ming, is this true?"

"Director Qi, they have no evidence, and we have no reason to arrest anyone," the policeman replied.

"Do you have evidence?" Qi Manlin asked Tang Wu.

"We have no evidence, but he injured my brother, and my brother recognizes him," Tang Wu replied.

"We can’t do without evidence. Arresting people requires evidence. If he randomly accuses someone of hitting him and we arrest them, wouldn’t that be too rash and unjust to the person? We hope you can provide evidence," the Chief Police Officer said.

Fang Zhongxin standing behind couldn’t hold back any longer, and enduring his pain, said, "What kind of broken police station is this? I want to complain!"

Qi Manlin wasn’t going to let Fang Zhongxin slide, "We handle cases based on evidence. In cases like yours, if you want to complain, feel free, but don’t assume you’re all that!"

"Hmph, police and criminals are in cahoots; I want to complain! I will complain about you!" Fang Zhongxin lost his rationality in anger.

"Ah Ming, take them out,"

Qi Manlin said as she turned and returned to her office, and Ah Ming quickly arranged for a few people to drag the irrational Fang Zhongxin and Tang Wu out.

Tang Wu gave Lin Mu a vicious glare, pointed at him, and coldly said, "Kid, I’ve got my eye on you; just wait and see."

Lin Mu chuckled and shrugged, "I’ll be waiting."

Tang Wu snorted coldly and then turned and left the police station.

At this moment, the Chief Police Officer returned to Lin Mu’s side and reached out to pinch his side hard, "You trouble-making bastard, look at how much trouble you’ve caused me!"

"Uh... what’s the deal? If this weren’t the police station and I wasn’t worried about making things difficult for you, I would have beaten them up ages ago." Lin Mu said helplessly. Those two fools were a pair of idiots. If it weren’t for being at the police station, Lin Mu would have beaten them black and blue.

"Alright, enough talking, I still have work, you head home first, and stay out of trouble!" the Chief Police Officer warned.

"Ah, nothing but a bunch of useless talk! Boring." Lin Mu sighed and then left the police station.

Once outside the police station, Lin Mu idly took out a cigarette and lit it, when he saw a familiar figure at the entrance.

It was none other than Tang Wu, standing at the entrance of the police station, also staring at Lin Mu, smiling coldly.

Lin Mu ignored this pest; if not for worrying about causing trouble at the police station and being scolded by the Chief Police Officer, he would have beaten these heirs already. They were just looking for trouble, so Lin Mu decided to ignore them and got into a Land Rover, driving away from the police station.

Tang Wu got into a Mercedes parked at the entrance and followed along. The Mercedes was eye-catching, and Lin Mu certainly noticed Tang Wu following behind.

"Anyway, I’m bored; might as well entertain these two grandsons." Lin Mu thought with a smile, and then sped up, with the Mercedes speeding up behind him. Both were good cars, so the gap between them wasn’t huge.

Of course, Lin Mu wouldn’t use his Land Rover to hit their Mercedes; it was newly bought, and he couldn’t bear to damage it. Better to find a place and beat them up instead. So Lin Mu kept calm while Tang Wu’s car openly followed right behind him.
