Hello again everyone,

Today, we had a nice beefy three-chapter day, but don't worry. Regular chapters will continue on Monday. I already took my 'Post-Volume 5' break back in May, so we get to head straight into Volume 6.

Now, onto my thoughts for Volume 5.

I hope everyone found the full Su Clan arc which started in Volume 4 interesting. As I said at the end of Volume 4, I had originally planned out Volumes 4 and 5 as one continuous arc, but things quickly got away from me. I think things worked out better this way, though. It gave us more time to explore the intricacies of building a new world.

Overall, I'm happy with how Volume 5 came out, but I will admit the last 10 chapters are almost like their own short story that was tacked on at the end. I considered a few different ways to approach this section, including spinning these chapters off into a book of their own or just time skipping past them, but neither of these options felt right. In the end, I would say, treat them as a bridge between Volumes 5 and 6 of our story.
