Chapter 1970: Chapter 1970: Mrs. Davidson Is Also a Hidden Big Shot

Amadeus Yancey was driving, so he didn’t explain much to him and just said, "Marcella Davidson is currently the foremost expert still alive."

"Don’t judge a person by their appearance. She is not someone you can afford to provoke."

Marcella Davidson is not easy to provoke.

This is also why the Moore Family has not contacted The First Research Institute for over 20 years. Nathalie Quinlan needs to participate in The First Research Institute’s assessment this time, and Kenzie Nabours can immediately secure a spot for her...

Marcella Davidson’s influence in The First Research Institute is not as simple as it appears on the surface.

Her very existence represents a generation of once-fallen and now vanished powerhouses.

Although most of that generation, like Marcella Davidson, have already hidden their identities, no one is willing to provoke Marcella Davidson and the group of people she represents behind her.

"I understand." Sadam Vinson said reluctantly.

Nathalie Quinlan, however, didn’t react much. She just lowered her eyelids lightly, holding the phone in one hand and looking down to reply to a message.

After the group assessment, they will have a three-day vacation.

After the three-day vacation ends, she will continue to return to The First Research Institute, where she can go to the level 8 laboratory to take a look.

*

Three days later.

Nathalie Quinlan ended her vacation and returned to The First Research Institute.

As soon as she swiped her card and entered The First Research Institute, she noticed the odd looks everyone was giving her.

In the past, when she appeared, some people would look her way, but it was rare for nearly everyone to stop what they were doing the moment they saw her and whisper among themselves, as if discussing something.

Nathalie Quinlan had some suspicions in her heart but remained calm and composed as she walked to the small laboratory designated for Group 10.

Inside the small laboratory, Agnes Baker, Wincent Sullivan, and the others were all present.

Nathalie Quinlan had not yet entered when she heard Agnes Baker’s slightly impatient tone: "Hasn’t Nathalie arrived yet? Should we call her and let her know?"

"I only found out about this when I got to the institute. How about I give her a call?" Wincent Sullivan anxiously opened a cabinet and took out his phone from inside.

Williansen Barness was leaning casually against the edge of a lab bench, raising his eyes, his handsome face cool. He asked them, "Don’t you trust her?"

Agnes Baker and Wincent Sullivan both looked in his direction.

Williansen Barness straightened his leg and stood up straight: "I trust her! No matter what is said outside, I believe she didn’t do it."

"It’s not that I don’t trust her, I just..." Wincent Sullivan wanted to explain his actions.

Williansen Barness expressionlessly interrupted him: "If you trust her, there’s no need to make that phone call. It’s an insult to her."

Wincent Sullivan stood there with his phone in hand, dumbfounded, suddenly speechless.

Agnes Baker also fell silent for a second, considering whether she was too hasty. She turned her head, and out of the corner of her eye saw the girl standing at the door.

Nathalie Quinlan was wearing a long-sleeved T-shirt today, with a denim jacket over it. This seemingly thin outfit suited her just fine.

It made her skin look fair, her demeanor cold and stern.

She didn’t wear a duckbill cap, her hair casually tied in a high ponytail, revealing her slender swan-like neck.

Yet, even so, her personal aura was still strongly commanding.

All around her exuded a ’do not disturb’ air of aloofness.

"Nathalie?" Agnes Baker looked more closely at the person standing at the door, then stood up and exclaimed in surprise.

The person outside, with a delicate face showing no emotional fluctuation, walked in, wrapped in the cold air from outside.
