The Unveiling of Secret Queen
Chapter 1973: Nathalie Quinlan, How Did You Come Up with That Super Algorithm?
The Kingsleys Family wasn’t making a small fuss with this gathering.
Besides Zevaney Kingsley herself.
A few more people from the Kingsleys Family had come.
James Lawrence was unexpectedly present.
In addition, Hansel Kingsley, the hall master of the Kingsleys Family’s punishment hall, famously known as the ’pillar’ of the Kingsleys Family, was also present.
In this setting, Willy Kingsley could only be considered a junior.
When Hansel Kingsley took a seat on the chair, he could only stand aside, without even the qualification to sit.
The research institute staff brewed tea for each of them.
Hansel Kingsley sat there sipping his tea leisurely, occasionally chatting with Zevaney Kingsley.
Zevaney always wanted to ingratiate herself with Hansel Kingsley, treating him with utmost caution, both flattered and wary.
Basically, she answered whatever Hansel Kingsley asked, behaving very obediently.
Completely different from the imposing demeanor she usually displayed outside as the young lady of the Kingsleys Family.
Besides occasionally exchanging a few words with her, Hansel Kingsley mainly talked to the heads of the research institute’s various laboratories.
Not many people came this time.
The head of Level 8 Laboratory was still absent.
The institute’s biggest authority figure was also not present.
However, the heads of Level 1-7 Laboratories were all here.
Nathan Garland was among them.
Today, he was wearing a navy woolen sweater, his hair neatly combed, with a stern square face, appearing not very approachable.
He spoke more with Hansel Kingsley.
The two seemed to be old acquaintances.
"Has that rookie not arrived yet?" Nathan Garland put down his thermos, lifted his eyelids, and suddenly asked.
The head of Level 2 Laboratory chimed in from the side: "Violetta went to find her, she should be back soon, right?"
As they were speaking.
Violetta Hoffman led Nathalie Quinlan in, one behind the other.
As soon as Hansel Kingsley saw the girl who came in, his demeanor changed instantly. He no longer paid attention to Zevaney, and his cloudy tiger-like eyes were wholly focused on the girl who came in.
James Lawrence was also constantly keeping an eye on the incoming person.
Nathalie Quinlan walked in without a sideways glance, not even sparing them a single look.
This caused a subtle change in Hansel Kingsley’s expression, his eyebrows furrowing, nearly being angered by the girl’s lazy attitude.
It was James Lawrence’s quick reaction that saved the moment, quickly pouring some water into his cup and handing it over: "Sixth Elder, have some tea."
Only then did Hansel Kingsley regain his composure, his face stern and silent, he lifted the teacup and drank deeply.
"Nathalie Quinlan, how did you come up with the ’Super Algorithm’ you used for the December group examination? Was it an original idea, or had you seen similar concepts somewhere before?" Nathan Garland first raised a stern question without beating around the bush, his face serious, as if interrogating.
Despite calling it a question, his tone was more akin to an interrogation, demanding an explanation.
Violetta Hoffman looked displeased, her face pulled down.
All eyes were on the girl, waiting for her response.
The girl wasn’t wearing a hat today, making it easier for them to see the outstanding appearance of this new recruit to the research institute.
A face like that indeed didn’t look like it belonged to someone who could concentrate on research.
No wonder such an issue arose.
"I came up with it myself."
Her voice was clear, rebellious.
"You came up with it yourself?" Nathan Garland asked again nonchalantly: "Take your time, think it over carefully before you answer."
Nathalie Quinlan, however, wasn’t appreciative, looking at him lazily, hands crossed, still sticking to her words: "No need, I came up with that algorithm myself, and then I did experiments to verify it."
Nathan Garland laughed in irritation, seemingly reluctant to argue with a rookie, muttered a sound of agreement, then turned to speak with Zevaney: "You tell her."
