Lana and Melora Moretti followed at Gable’s side, with several males carefully protecting them.

Hearing Gable’s words, she hesitated and looked at Elias Moretti. She had wanted to say something, but when she saw the calm expression on his face, she fell silent. Now, she had to rely on her son, not her partner.

’Of course, if Evangeline were willing to form a Contract with Elias Moretti, then she and Gable wouldn’t have to be so worried.’

Elias Moretti’s scarlet eyes stared straight at the slender figure ahead as he said flatly, "You know what I would choose."

Gable’s heart sank. It was precisely because he knew that he couldn’t be at ease.

Evangeline hadn’t seen Elias Moretti in a long time. She recalled their first meeting, when she’d seen him with another female. The corners of her lips curled into a slight, almost friendly smile. "I should thank you for what happened last time."

Elias Moretti stared at the faint smile on her face and paused for a moment.

’In his memory, she had always been guarded and hostile toward him. This was the first time she had ever smiled at him like that.’

Elias Moretti’s Adam’s apple bobbed. His voice was low as he said, "I took your prey, too. There’s nothing to thank me for."

Thorne, standing to the side, scoffed lightly and nodded. "That’s the truth."

Seeing Evangeline again, Gable’s expression was polite, but inwardly he was on high alert.

’This strange female had too many tricks up her sleeve. She was nothing like an ordinary Witch.’

Lana looked at Evangeline with a very complicated expression. Melora Moretti, on the other hand, grew excited at the sight of her, her face full of admiration. But knowing Evangeline had been away from the Grymdale Tribe for a long time, she only called out softly, "Sister Evangeline, Brother Thorne."

Evangeline nodded at her. Her expression wasn’t warm, but it wasn’t cold either.

Within the Grymdale Tribe, Thorne only had some lingering affection for this "sister" of his, Melora Moretti, but not much.

Evangeline glanced at the Beastmen of the Grymdale Tribe. Most were familiar faces, like Cecilia West, who had three grimy cubs with her. When Cecilia West noticed Evangeline’s gaze, she shifted uncomfortably and looked away.

However, a flicker of complex gratitude also crossed her eyes.

She had never forgotten how Evangeline had helped her deliver her cubs.

Evangeline also noticed a slender-bodied female staring at her.

Skyla of the Stannar Tribe.

Thorne hadn’t hidden the fact that Elias Moretti had taken in the Beastmen from the Stannar Tribe, so she naturally knew about Skyla as well.

Besides them, there were also some unfamiliar males in the Grymdale Tribe, perhaps ones who had joined later.

Evangeline spoke. "Come in. We need to discuss the matter of the migration."

After all, a migration was a major event involving several tribes and required a joint discussion among the leaders.

The Mer Clan, the Great Fish Clan, and even the Fallen Beastmen all poked their heads out quietly after hearing the commotion.

Gable was taken aback by the bustling scene in Blackwater Swamp. Puzzled, he asked, "Are there a lot of Beastmen migrating with you?"

Evangeline didn’t speak. Thorne, however, shot Gable a sidelong glance. He had little fondness for this Witch who had always helped Elias Moretti oppose him, so his tone was anything but polite. "The Marine Beastmen will be traveling with us. And, of course, that includes the Fallen Beastmen from below Thorncliff. Heh, lots and lots of Fallen Beastmen. This time, I trust you won’t be making a move against us, will you?"

His tone was laced with sarcasm and stirred up everyone’s memories of their time in the Grymdale Tribe’s territory.

"The... the Fallen Beastmen? You’re saying all the Fallen Beastmen from under Thorncliff escaped?!" Gable’s face paled in horror, his pupils constricting. He couldn’t help but whip his head around to look at Elias Moretti, his expression a mask of unconcealed terror and anxiety.

’The Fallen Beastmen are a curse that feeds on Beastman Crystals! And we’re supposed to travel with them?’

’A single Fallen Beastman was enough to drive the Norfell Tribe mad. What about a whole group of them? What would happen?’

Gable didn’t dare to imagine it. He just desperately hoped Elias Moretti would change his mind and make a new decision.

Elias Moretti was only shocked for a moment before quickly regaining his composure.

He pressed his thin lips together and gave Evangeline a complicated look. His voice was hoarse as he said, "This really is something you would do."

Evangeline’s expression was calm, her tone even. "So, if you’re not willing to travel together, the Grymdale Tribe is free to leave."

’Elias Moretti wasn’t a bad person in the purest sense. As a leader, he was very responsible.’

’Last time, during the rainy season, he had come looking for her with Caden Albright, Thorne, and Orion. Based on that, plus Thorne’s history with the Grymdale Tribe, her decision to bring them along wasn’t just a whim.’

Elias Moretti said calmly, "I know how capable you are. Only you can lead us across the Triangle Sea."

Hearing this, Evangeline was slightly surprised. She hadn’t expected Elias Moretti to trust her so much.

Thorne shot Elias Moretti a wary glance. ’Even though his ’brother’ has a bad personality,’ he had to admit, ’he’s very popular with the females. If he weren’t so unwilling to form a Contract, his cubs would probably be quite big by now.’

"Then come inside," Evangeline said, nodding and gesturing to the tent behind her.

"Wait!" Elias Moretti called out to stop Evangeline. Thorne looked at him impatiently. "What is it now?"

Elias Moretti knew Evangeline’s personality, so he didn’t beat around the bush. "The Sky-Rend Tribe came along with us. Do you want to meet their leader? The Sky-Rend Tribe is one of the most capable among the Winged Beastmen. They could be a great help during the migration."

Evangeline lifted her gaze to him. Listening to his low, soft words, she felt a wave of emotion.

’Elias Moretti never did anything without a reason. The Grymdale Tribe and the Sky-Rend Tribe weren’t on the best of terms, yet after receiving Thorne’s invitation, he had taken the initiative to contact the neighboring Sky-Rend Tribe and bring them along.’

’She couldn’t help but suspect he was doing it to smooth things over with Thorne, and also to leave a deep impression on her.’

At Elias Moretti’s words, Thorne’s eyes did indeed light up. "The Sky-Rend Tribe! Where are they?"

Thorne felt even closer to the Sky-Rend Tribe, where his good friend Orion was, than he did to the Grymdale Tribe.

It was hard to say what Elias Moretti was feeling at this scene, but Gable frowned, looking at Thorne with some displeasure. He silently criticized the other for not knowing where his loyalties should lie. ’As Evangeline’s male, he should be looking out for the Grymdale Tribe.’

Elias Moretti, however, remained perfectly calm and murmured a few words to a Beastman at his side.

The Beastman hurried to the back of the Grymdale Tribe’s group. A moment later, the Beastmen of the Sky-Rend Tribe emerged.

Evangeline hadn’t invited them. Although they were willing to travel together, now that they were here, they didn’t dare set foot in the territory of Blackwater Swamp, afraid of causing displeasure.

Thorne immediately spotted the Beastman leading the Sky-Rend Tribe. He had broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and a free-spirited, untamed air about him.

"Orion!" he called out, his voice rising, a smile in his dark green eyes.

Orion heard him and looked over, a brilliant smile instantly blooming on his face. He strode forward and pulled Thorne into a solid bear hug, clapping him firmly on the back twice with a strong arm.

After they separated, Thorne looked Orion up and down, raising an eyebrow in surprise. "You’re the new leader?"

At the mention of this, the smile on Orion’s face faltered slightly. He hummed a soft sound of affirmation and said, "My father didn’t make it through the rainy season."

Thorne pressed his lips together and said no more. His gaze shifted to Orion’s neck, where the image of a Wyvern was coiled.

Orion had already formed a Contract.
