Chapter 883: Absolute.

At first, they didn’t love their children. After creating them, the three were at a loss. Although they had envied the creatures of other universes, they struggled to become like them.

They had only seen them from afar, as they invaded their universes only to find their creators, to subdue them. The three were created solely for that reason; therefore, they didn’t find the things they were searching for so easily.

The first did try to love their children at first, but they were confused about what to do. How did beings that had never experienced love be capable of showing it? They began to ignore their children, as the Creator sent them on missions again and again.

Some of their children participated in the conquests, although they were mainly there to spend time with their parents, and perhaps this was the beginning of something else, a new feeling in the hearts of the Progenitors.

But it was difficult to express it; Vorden didn’t understand Izik mimicking his actions, Ilvath didn’t understand Aravi hugging his leg all the time, and Avalik didn’t understand Cthulhu constantly flying behind him, trying to catch up.

However, even if they didn’t understand, they tried to, and that was the beginning of something new blossoming. Soon enough, their children became a poison to them.

A poison they couldn’t live without, even if they struggled to show it. Then, their children had children, and they began to love them as well. However, they always struggled to show their love.

They merely knew conquest, and it was difficult for them to grasp other emotions. They grasped happiness when their children made requests of them, but to the creator, these were all... useless emotions.

Or rather, dangerous emotions. In the eyes of the Creator, an Absolute did not need love, nor did it need happiness, and to a certain extent, it was right. Ilvath and Avalik began to slow their conquest; they began to study the other universes in detail rather than conquer them. Only Vorden followed orders.

The Creator assumed it was because he was still loyal, but in reality, he had merely wanted to go home as fast as possible and study these feelings. That misunderstanding eventually saved the Dragon race from the worst outcome.

Unlike the VoidSpawn, they were not slaughtered; unlike the God beasts, they were not killed. Only punished.

Izik and Tiamat were imprisoned in realms created for them, Celestia and the Abyss. Ariel was bound in chains, choosing to isolate herself in a different realm she created. Liorakiji was cursed with eternal sleep, whilst Bahamut was cursed to reside in Dragonum, cursed to endure eternal ravings that left him teetering on the verge of insanity.

Vrit, the God Beast of Battle, the one who resembled Ilvath the most, was ’killed’, at a time before Ariel had created Death; the substance of his existence was merely taken away from him, he was cursed to remain in a place between existence and non-existence. The Creator had altered his existence to create conflict within the Weave, leading the Weave to deal with the flaw in its own way.

The same happened with Cthulhu, Uvarak, and Ktanayi. The Creator altered their existence in the same way James altered Alan’s, only they didn’t have James’s precision and desire to improve and modify Alan’s existence, as well as the unique skill Dominatus; they had nothing to protect them from the Weave, and their existences were altered with malicious intent.

They were ’killed’ before Death had even existed as a concept in the Weave; they met an end before the End was even a thing.

And when the Progenitors came back, they were met with this sorry state of a universe. Their grandchildren were either dead or severely injured, letting out cries. Their children were imprisoned, cursed, and dead.

Vorden heard Tiamat’s cries, Izik’s grunts, Ariel’s silence, and Liorakiji’s snores, as well as the pleas for help from Bahamut. Ilvath came back to see his eldest son dead, his daughter scarred, and his other children injured in every way possible. Avalik came back to most of them dead.

And so, the feelings they had developed exploded, and the progenitors snapped. Avalik was the first to betray the Creator, Ilvath followed, and Vorden was the last.

Avalik was sealed. In his final moments, he expanded his body to cover the void, creating a space in the universe that the Creator couldn’t touch, a haven for his children. Ilvath was sealed in the Eternal Flame, his own creation, cursed to burn for eternity.

Vorden, on the other hand, remains a mystery. Nobody knows what happened to Vorden, only that he succeeded in sealing the Creator. Of course, without Avalik and Ilvath doing their own part, Vorden wouldn’t have succeeded.

However, before the Creator was truly sealed, he cursed the Dragons, God Beasts, and the VoidSpawn, a curse of hatred. It was simple; the three species could not tolerate each other for extended periods of time. They began to hate each other and fought against one another.

The curse made coexistence impossible, and worst of all, it caused endless amounts of bloodshed. The Voidspawn, who had retreated to the Void, were relatively safe from this, but the Dragons and God beasts engaged in war for thousands of years, even after relocating their planets to the far edges of the universe; they were only able to slightly reduce the effects of the curse.

Even after their best attempts at reducing the contact between their species, they were still unable to get rid of the curse. Every few decades, the thought would always arise in their minds, a hatred for each other would be born, and war would follow.

The only existence that ended this series of wars was something that was an even greater threat, so much so that he actually forced the two races to cooperate. A threat far greater than their countless wars, one that could actually end everything. One that had the potential to be equal to the progenitors. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

Of course, the only one capable of doing so was Aranus.
