The Villain's Story
Chapter 886: Earth’s War.
"Earth will be engulfed in war in about half a year."
Valus informed, to which Alan was taken aback, this was unexpected. However, he calmed himself quickly and asked.
"The Abyss?"
"Indeed, the Abyssal Realm connected to Earth is almost ready for another full assault; at the same time, Earth is also ready."
"What do you mean?"
"Earth has always been looking for an opportunity to join the Alliance, and the Dragons. The Abyssal Realm is that opportunity. A meeting was held a few days prior with Earth’s diplomats and the elders of the Alliance, along with your cousin, Izikil’s daughter, Izima, the heir of war."
’Izima...’
Unfortunately, he had no idea who this dragon was; there was not a single thing about her in his memories. Alan paid close attention.
"When joining the Alliance, one has to choose which house of the Dragons they want behind them, to smooth out matters between the numerous species, as well as bring order to everything. One of these is war. Due to Earth having our Heir as well as a Dragon of War, Agri’s heir, two houses, War and Death, extended their hand to Earth.
Among these, Earth chose War, because they want War. Our House is friendly to the Demons, and we would have tried our best to avoid War between the Abyssal Realm and Earth, but the humans want war, which is why they chose to side with the House of War.
This is a problem. One, Humans lack a fully formed Epic Being. Ragnar Drakmor has just ascended to the Epic Realm, whilst the Martial Star has remained at its very peak for a long time. The difference between them is great, and the chances of Earth winning are low. The demons have been waging war since the start of their race, plundering planets for as long as they have lived. In my opinion, a species new to Mana has no chance.
Since ’War’ is now behind them, a few rules have been added to the game. Whoever breaks them will have their home burnt to a crisp by Fire dragons. First, Earth and the Abyssal Realm 555 are to battle alone; neither party may accept any form of help from other races or other Abyssal Realms. This doesn’t extend to artifacts or weaponry of other species already possessed by humans before this agreement. Similarly, for the Abyss as well."
"The second rule is simple: fight to the death. Both parties were adamant on this being the case... much to our dismay, ’War’ supported this as well. Both parties are to fight until seventy-five percent of their population is gone.
The third rule is that both parties’ branch organizations situated in the enemy world have free rein; they can do whatever they want to weaken the opposite party from within, they can also be dealt with before the war, and there are no restrictions on the ruling party as to how they deal with them."
’For the Abyss, that organization has to be the Obelisk, but the humans have a foothold in the Abyssal Layer 555 as well?’
Alan thought, as Valus continued.
The fourth... is that you and Kazikato have the choice to either abstain from this war or choose to participate in it. If you do choose to participate, the House of Death has no claim to your remains if you are to die... If you choose to abstain, you can select a few to accompany you to Lanekia or our other worlds... However, this is an issue as well."
Alan raised his brows, confused. However, he didn’t say anything, waiting for Valus to compete. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
"Your Grandparents, and neither your sister, can handle being transported to another world. Your sister has a chance, but your grandparents will die in agony and pain. They are barely accustomed to Earth’s mana; they cannot handle the mana of another world, unless they choose to live in isolation their entire lives, they won’t even have the choice to meet anyone, forced to live alone until their bodies can adapt to the powerful mana, this has an abysmally low chance for anyone who doesn’t have potential, is not an awakened, and who is old.
Your Grandparents will not survive. Samantha also has a low chance of survival, while her affinities and potential are great, her mind, body, and soul are nothing like yours."
He stopped for a moment, until declaring with a heavy voice.
"The average human will not survive on another planet, it is simply because Earth’s mana has yet to evolve to greater heights, the mana within their bodies has a unique signature, it won’t like the mana of another world trying to get entry. You don’t know about this, but even on Gigantium, only awakened humans and seasoned specialists are granted access, and even then, they have to rotate shifts every few weeks. Only A-rank and above can bypass this."
"So we can’t afford to lose Earth, Huh?"
Alan said that his usage of ’we’ already cemented his choice. He was going to fight for Earth, although he didn’t have any sort of ’love’ or feelings of patriotism for his home world. He didn’t hate it, and besides, he knew his grandparents would rather choose to die on Earth; therefore, he had to fight. Besides, he loved the food there.
Furthermore, he wasn’t like Valus, who thought the humans had low chances of winning the war. For more than half a century, humanity was united against a common enemy; there are no shortages of powerhouses on Earth, including him and Elijah. Even if they had only a single Epic being, Humanity had a good chance against a single abyssal layer; worse, if they were going to lose... he was darn sure they were taking the abyssal layer down with them.
Also, he knew who the real head behind humanity was from his memories. Harrison, he was someone James knew well, and praised... That alone gave Alan the confidence that Harrison had a lot of plans for this war.
Alan was confident, simply because humans had more than half a century to prepare for this war, and he knew they used that time well. Humans don’t forget revenge.
