"The former embassy, meaning it isn’t anymore?"

Liu Zheng asked.

"Yes, there was an incident over a hundred years ago, and everyone inside the embassy died. Fortunately, the deputy director of the Border Control Bureau was just visiting the Deep Sea Empire’s ambassador and, noticing something was wrong, immediately sealed off the embassy, preventing anything inside from getting out."

"Later, City Hall notified the Deep Sea Empire, and the High Priest of Deep Sea Empire personally led a team to resolve the issue, but the embassy was sealed and never used again."

Ace said.

"Wow, not a quiet moment."

He smirked.

The Metropolis is prone to sudden Evil God descents or dangerous racial outbursts. He initially thought the Deep Sea Empire would be stronger, but now it seems there’s no difference.

"Where did the embassy move to now?"

Liu Zheng asked.

"It moved next to the Border Control Bureau building, and the Border Control Bureau isn’t too thrilled about it either."

Ace shrugged.

One major characteristic of bureaucratic institutions is to use someone until they’re dead. Since the Border Control Bureau discovered the problem in the first place, the issue continues to be dealt with by them.

"That’s how it is with the capable taking on more work. Let’s go."

He replied and continued driving forward.

Whatever happened at the embassy back then has nothing to do with him. He’s already swamped dealing with Metropolis matters; the Deep Sea Empire’s issues should be left for them to handle.

The distance from Seastar Street 1 to Seastar Street 2 is longer than the distance from Seastar Street 2 to Seastar Street 7 combined, but Seastar Street isn’t very long overall, so it didn’t take much effort.

The architecture at Seastar Street 7 is also quite distinctive, looking overall like a giant sea snail, with layer upon layer of colorful plaster, giving it a whimsical, fairy-tale appearance.

Liu Zheng and his two companions got out of the car. Two lackeys at the door, who looked three parts human and seven parts mantis shrimp, gave them a sideways glance.

Liu Zheng walked up and, seeing they didn’t speak, led Doctor Nile and Ace toward the inside.

"Stop, what are you here for?"

The two mantis shrimp, no longer able to remain silent, quickly extended their pincers to block them.

"Delivering takeout. Isn’t it obvious? Are you two blind?"

Liu Zheng jibed.

"You’re delivering takeout and you brought followers?"

The larger mantis shrimp looked at the two accompanying him.

"As a delivery guy, isn’t it reasonable to have two bodyguards to ensure the safety of the delivery? Alright, enough talking, go notify your boss Jiang Weisheng that I’m here. If he wants to talk, he should show some manners. If not, everyone can just gather their men and start a fight; none of this half-measure nonsense."

Liu Zheng said boldly.

"Wait here."

The big mantis shrimp stared at him for a few seconds before turning and going inside.

A while later, it came out again.

"Follow me, the boss wants to see you."

The big mantis shrimp said.

"Quite the pomp."

Liu Zheng rolled his eyes and was about to go in.

"Wait a minute, these two can’t come in."

The big mantis shrimp blocked Doctor Nile and Ace.

"I’ve walked freely in the Black Dragon Association’s place, and your Sea Star Gang has more pomp than them. Fine, I won’t go in now; later, I’ll bring the law enforcement from your area, and by then, don’t let your knees go weak."

Ace said coldly.

Putting aside the fact that he is a Travel Mage’s only son, just his position as the deputy section chief of the logistics department is enough for the local law enforcement to curry favor with him.

"And who are you?"

The big mantis shrimp’s tone was noticeably more cautious.

"You’re not qualified to know. One word, are you letting us in or not?"

Ace’s attitude was quite arrogant and domineering.

But that’s understandable; being the son of a Travel Mage, he naturally has the backing to be so.

On normal days, he appears easygoing only because of his good nature and appreciation for Liu Zheng and his team; now, facing gang members, it’s natural for him to flaunt his second-generation privilege.

The big mantis shrimp’s expression changed several times before silently stepping aside.

"You really have the clout, Brother Pai."

Liu Zheng joked.

"Ah, I’m just borrowing power; unlike Brother Zheng here, who has his own might."

Ace waved his hand.

"Don’t say that, your backing is your father, mine is a whole group of fathers; I’m the real one borrowing power from others."

He laughed at himself.

"That’s why we get along so well. In your Zhen Dan people’s words, it’s not ’one family not entering one door.’"

Ace also laughed.

"Although I’m not Zhen Dan, even I know that’s not how you use that saying."

Doctor Nile said with a strange expression.

The three laughed and walked in as if they were not nervous at all.

Their demeanor was noted by members of the Sea Star Gang. A person sitting on the left side of the long table seemed to want to say something, but was stopped by a person sitting at the end of the table with a raised hand.

Both sides of the long table were filled with people, and the only empty chair was at the opposite end of the table, clearly reserved for Liu Zheng.

Liu Zheng, showing no courtesy, walked straight to the chair and sat down.

He glanced around, noting that the people at the table, compared to the two mantis shrimps at the door, looked much more human despite having noticeable marine creature features, fitting their mixed heritage.

The person opposite him was the most human-looking of the group, with only scales on the face and an exaggeratedly arched mouth showing his deep-sea bloodline.

Aside from that, this person could be considered handsome.

And the one who wanted to speak earlier looked about seventy percent like this person, though the scales on his face were lighter in color and his mouth not so pronounced.
