Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!
Chapter 918: When Four Walk Together, One Gets Jealous
The three were having a meal when Mark Campbell's phone call came through.
Aurelia Shaw told him the address.
Half an hour later, a luxurious black car stopped at the entrance. Mark Campbell, dressed in a crisp suit, got out of the car and surveyed the surroundings. He quickly spotted the trio that stood out the most.
He walked over.
Little Bun's eyes lit up. He slid down from the chair and hugged Aurelia Shaw's leg.
Aurelia Shaw was puzzled. She looked up and saw Mark Campbell.
Mark Campbell stared heavily at Mason Campbell. Just one meal and he was bought off; he really didn't want to admit this was his son.
"Come here!" Mark Campbell said sternly.
Little Bun tightly hugged Aurelia Shaw's leg, his big, pleading eyes looking at her pitifully.
Aurelia Shaw's heart softened, and she rubbed Little Bun's face. As she was about to say something to ease the situation, Mason Nightshade coldly said, "Is this how you treat someone after they looked after your son all day?"
These words were directed at Mark Campbell.
Mark Campbell maintained an emotionless robot-like face and faintly glanced at Mason Nightshade, "I remember entrusting Aurelia with this."
Mason Nightshade smirked coldly, "Yes, my wife. Your son disturbed our couple time."
Mason Nightshade lied so smoothly, his face remained calm without a hint of embarrassment, his lips carrying a subtle smile, and his gaze held faint arrogance and disdain.
It wasn't disdain towards Mark Campbell, but rather an innate rebelliousness in his character.
Mark Campbell's brow seemed to furrow ever so slightly.
"Mr. Campbell, we'll leave Little Bun to you. He's been playing at the amusement park all day; he must be very tired..." Aurelia Shaw noticed the atmosphere wasn't great, and since Mason Nightshade and Mark Campbell seemed to naturally clash, she feared the two might start a fight right there in KFC. She spoke up to give them an out.
It was unclear whether Mark Campbell understood or not, but he glanced at the hamburgers and cola on the table with a faint hint of disdain.
Yet he sat down, "Get me one as well."
"Huh?" Aurelia Shaw couldn't react.
What did he want?
A hamburger meal?
Did she hear wrong?
His face practically had "disdain" written all over it, so why did he sit down to eat with them?
As if he guessed what Aurelia Shaw was curious about, Mark Campbell said calmly, "Busy at the company all day, haven't eaten."
Aurelia Shaw understood.
Generally, a hungry person won't pick a fight. πππ¦β―πΈπ¦ππππ·β―π.πππ
It takes half an hour to get from the Campbell residence; indeed, it's a bit long.
She knew well what hunger felt like.
Aurelia Shaw called a waiter and ordered another meal.
Mason Campbell was afraid of Mark Campbell, not daring to be casual at the table, sitting upright with his small frame, holding a cup of cola, cheeks puffed, adorably resembling a little gluttonous squirrel.
Mason Nightshade's lips carried a subtle smile. Next to him was a cup of coffee. His lightly hued eyes looked at Mark Campbell, letting out a cold laugh.
Suddenly, noticing something in the corner of his eye, he reached out and wiped the corner of Aurelia Shaw's mouth, intentionally raising his voice, "You've got it on your mouth again."
Then, he put that finger in his mouth to lick it.
Mark Campbell's face slightly darkened.
Mason Nightshade's smile grew even deeper.
Aurelia Shaw sensed the mismatched air between the two men, but she wasn't presumptuous enough to think she could resolve their misunderstanding.
She excused herself to the restroom and left.
...
"Is the Campbell Family quite idle lately?" Mason Nightshade started.
Mark Campbell's expression didn't change, "I would think Mr. Nightshade quite enjoys this trio."
Mason Nightshade laughed coldly, dialed a number, "Find something for the Campbell Family to do."
