"Now I change my stance and call it a dog, can't I?" She is actually discussing with him whether it's a wolf or a dog.

Aurelia Shaw couldn't help but mock herself inwardly.

"You can." Mason Nightshade indulged her, "Didn't I say I would be your loyal dog? Whether the loyal dog is a wolf or a dog, you decide."

"Go take a shower." Aurelia Shaw kicked Mason Nightshade away.

Mason Nightshade picked up his dirty clothes and went to the downstairs bathroom to take a shower.

Twenty minutes later, Mason Nightshade returned refreshed, his short black hair slightly damp, water droplets rolling down his handsome face, dressed in black silk pajamas embroidered with vintage patterns in yellow thread.

He got into bed, hugged Aurelia Shaw, and kissed her cheek.

Aurelia Shaw turned around.

No longer smelling the scent of blood, instead, the fragrance of the shower gel was quite pleasant.

"Did you go on a mission?"

She had never asked about these things before.

But today she realized that Mason Nightshade's work was very dangerous.

"Yeah, ran into an ambush halfway, but I handled it, just some small fry." Mason Nightshade said nonchalantly.

Behind this casualness was the fact that he was almost stabbed by one of those small fry.

It was the other party who blew up their car. If he hadn't sensed it early, he and Grayson Quinn would have been buried in flames by now.

However, Mason Nightshade didn't want Aurelia Shaw to know about this.

Knowing would only make her worry.

"Haven't you retired? Why are they still sending you on dangerous missions?" Aurelia Shaw complained, even blamed the high-ranking, lofty Mr. President.

Mason Nightshade's lips curled up happily, turning Aurelia Shaw's shoulder and pulling her into his arms.

He loved her bossy way of standing up for him.

He lowered his head, capturing her lips in a forceful kiss.

Breathlessly resting against her lips, reluctant to move away, "I've spoiled you so much that you even dare to complain about the President, huh? If I can't control you one day, will you create a giant mess for me?"

"If you don't want to clean up after me, then don't, there are plenty of people who would want to." Aurelia Shaw kicked him.

"Who's cleaning up after you?" Mason Nightshade held her ankle tightly and asked seriously, "Is it that boy, Viscount Zhou? Or Caspian Parker? Whoever dares to clean up after you, I'll chop off their hands!"

Aurelia Shaw laughed, wiping tears of laughter from her eyes, hooking her arms around Mason Nightshade's neck, and arrogantly curled her lips, gazing down at him, "Which of those two would abandon me, not care if something happens to me? Go ahead, chop them one by one, if you have the ability."

"Do you really think I wouldn't dare?" Mason Nightshade held her chin, biting her lip fiercely, though he didn't dare to really apply force, just feigned a few moves.

Through gritted teeth, he warned, "If you dare go astray, I'll make sure they can't take care of themselves."

Aurelia Shaw wanted to give Mason Nightshade more trouble.

She opened her mouth slightly, suddenly froze at the corner of it, her voice unexpectedly sinking, "Are you serious about this?" 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

"If you dare try, I'll chop yours too!" Mason Nightshade didn't notice the change in Aurelia Shaw's tone, assuming she was teasing him again.

A chill flashed in Aurelia Shaw's eyes; she grabbed Mason Nightshade's chin and lifted it, "You promised before that you wouldn't touch my Dad, is that true?"

Mason Nightshade furrowed his brow suspiciously but still answered her, "Have I ever lied to you?"

The old Mason Nightshade might have, but she believed the Mason Nightshade now wouldn't.

"What about my brother then?"
