"I wasn’t going to bother with them before, but now I’m just sick of it. They’ve done way too many things that crossed my bottom line. As for their retribution, they can choke it down themselves." Aurelia Shaw’s lips curled in a cold smile.

The guests had all arrived. Aurelia’s appearance instantly sent the reporters into a frenzy. She smiled as she greeted the reporters and her own fans, then took her seat with poise and grace.

Jovana Shaw clenched her fingers in hatred. "Why is she here?"

"The young lady came in with an invitation card. I—I don’t know what’s going on either..." the servant stammered.

Dammit! She’d sent that invitation card on purpose just to disgust Aurelia, who knew she’d actually show up!

Thinking of the "big gift" Aurelia had mentioned before, a sudden sense of crisis gripped Jovana. She gave the servant a cold order: "Keep an eye on her. The second she does anything off, stop her. You hear me?!"

"Yes, I understand."

This was her engagement banquet. No one was going to ruin it!

Jovana put on a pure, kind smile, lifted her skirt slightly, and walked over to Leo Campbell. She took his arm. "Leo, you have to drink less today. And you guys are not allowed to make Leo drink too much, okay?"

"Hey, hey! Over here, over here!" Viscount Johnson waved his arms without caring about his image. When Aurelia walked over, he glanced around, then asked her uneasily, "That shadow of yours, Mason Nightshade, isn’t stuck to you today?"

"He’s busy. Said he’d come a bit later." Aurelia sat down beside him.

Viscount Johnson could tell at a glance that something was wrong with her. "What’s up? Fought with him again? If Mason dares bully you, just tell me. I might not be able to beat him up, but the Johnson Family can still put some pressure on him for now." Only for now though—if the Johnson Family really went head‑to‑head with the Nightshade Family, this century‑old clan of his might not actually be able to take Mason on.

"Mason... might have found out about my rebirth." Aurelia’s expression tightened, her eyes turning dark.

Viscount Johnson was stunned for a second. "You slipped up?" 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

"Maybe." Aurelia said, "He knows me even better than I thought he did."

"So what if he knows? Even if he knows you’re reborn, does that make his feelings for you fake? His falling for you is real. Someone like Mason—he’s ruthless to everyone else, but once he really likes someone, he won’t let go because of any reason." Viscount Johnson had been worried at first, but after thinking it through, he relaxed.

Luckily, the man in question was Mason.

Aurelia poured herself a glass of red wine and dropped a bombshell: "But what if... he’s reborn too?"

Viscount Johnson froze like he’d been struck by lightning, his whole body going rigid. "W‑what... did you just say?"

Aurelia’s eyes were icy. "There are just too many flaws, and I didn’t see them before. The mango allergy, how well he knows my preferences, what I like and what I hate...

On top of that, and more importantly, in this life the Nightshade Corporation’s growth has been abnormally fast.
