Top-Tier Female, All Beastmen Want Her
Chapter 104: Broadcasting
As expected, the title attracted a lot of Male Beastmen.
The story was written in the first person.
"My name is Li Die. I am a Male Beastman, and my beast form is a Butterfly Beast..."
Jiang Zheyu slowly typed out the words.
Mecha Repair: Is the streamer a Butterfly Beast? Are you writing a diary?
Females Look At Me: What kind of stream is this? I’ve never seen anything like it.
...
The viewer count jumped from 0 to 100, fluctuating between 90 and 100.
’It’s always like this at the start.’ She stopped paying attention to the viewer count and focused on her writing.
"One day, as I was walking down the street, I was beaten and left injured on the ground because I was the lowest of the low—a Butterfly Beast..."
"Then, a splash of light cut through the dim sky. A female in a white dress squatted before me. Her small, fair, soft hand cupped my face. Her eyes were like a beautiful galaxy, her expression filled with worry..."
The comment section was quickly flooded with remarks from Male Beastmen.
Females Love Me: The streamer must be going crazy with wanting a female. A female would never just touch a random Beastman’s face on the street, let alone a Butterfly Beast’s.
Mecha Cyclone: You’re lucky a female would even deign to look at you, let alone squat down and cup your face? What are you fantasizing about?
...
The viewer count slowly grew, but no one in the stream was donating. All the comments mocked the streamer for daydreaming.
But even as they mocked her, they didn’t leave, curious to see what other fantasies the streamer would cook up.
From the sofa, Xiang Wei saw that Jiang Zheyu was just typing, not interacting with her audience at all. He walked over, wanting to see what she was doing.
"What are you... doing?" Xiang Wei asked, looking at the stream’s screen in confusion. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Jiang Zheyu replied simply, "Live-streaming a story I’m writing."
Xiang Wei raised an eyebrow. On his screen, next to the stream feed, he could see the revenue tracker. So far, Jiang Zheyu’s earnings were zero.
"You really have to learn things the hard way, don’t you?" Xiang Wei thought Jiang Zheyu was being incredibly stubborn. He’d already told her what to do, but she still refused to stoop to that level. "It’s such a waste not to take advantage of a face like yours. Fine, I’ll let you play around for the first day. You’ll see what happens by day two."
With that, Xiang Wei left.
At midnight tonight, he would see the results of Jiang Zheyu’s stream for the day.
In truth, Jiang Zheyu wasn’t confident either. After all, this wasn’t her field. She had only started writing because the system told her this idea would be a huge hit.
In any case, there were no performance quotas for the first day, so she could just treat it as a trial run.
...
In a remote location, hidden deep within a jungle, stood a massive base. Towering white steel walls loomed, and small surveillance drones zipped through the air.
Inside the villa at its center.
"Boss, you’re finally awake." Zhe Feng reached out to help Si Yu out of the Healing Pod, but his hand was pushed away.
Si Yu sat on the edge of the Healing Pod, his face pale and his expression dark and cold. He frowned, pressing his fingertips to his forehead. His spiritual power was still unstable, leaving him in a disoriented and sickening haze.
Not even a Healing Pod could treat the turmoil in his spiritual power.
He rubbed his forehead to ease the feeling, then lowered his hand and looked at Xi Xu, who stood beside him in a white lab coat. His dark green eyes were like a deep, remote mountain range. "Go on. What’s my condition?"
"Boss, your body has fully recovered," Xi Xu replied, his tone meticulously calm as he stood in his white coat, holding a medical chart. "Aside from some recent instability in your spiritual power that’s causing dizziness and headaches, there are no major issues. The condition isn’t severe, and you should return to normal soon."
Then, as if remembering something, Xi Xu added, "There is one other test result. Your Beastification Value has dropped to 0. This is truly a cause for celebration."
Si Yu dismissed him with a wave. He already wore a thumb ring that monitored his Beastification Value, so he was always aware of its status.
He had realized it had dropped to zero long ago, during his intimate time with his Yu Yu.
His thoughts turned to his Yu Yu.
"Has Zhe Heng returned?" As the thought crossed his mind, Si Yu looked up at Zhe Feng.
Zhe Feng, standing nearby, instantly stiffened. He’d been on edge, knowing the Boss would ask about the female as soon as he woke.
’When the Boss asked that question, he was, of course, asking whether the task he had ordered Zhe Heng to carry out had been completed.’
Si Yu watched Zhe Feng’s silence, and in an instant, his dark green eyes turned to ice. "Why aren’t you speaking?"
"Zhe Heng has returned, but... he didn’t bring the female back." Zhe Feng immediately dropped to his knees, bowing his head so low that beads of cold sweat began to form on his forehead.
For an instant, the air grew silent and frigidly tense.
"Bring Zhe Heng here," Si Yu said, his voice devoid of emotion.
"Yes," Zhe Feng managed to choke out the single word.
Zhe Heng entered soon after and immediately fell to his knees before Si Yu. "Boss, I..."
Before Zhe Heng could finish speaking, a heavy kick slammed into his chest. With what felt like a crack of breaking ribs, he was sent flying like a kite with a snapped string, crashing violently against the far wall with a tremendous THUD.
"COUGH, COUGH..." Zhe Heng clutched his chest, coughing violently as blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.
Yet, his face showed no hint of resentment as he forced himself back into a kneeling position.
"Explain. What happened?" Si Yu’s eyes were dark and merciless. "Did the Imperial Army take her?"
Zhe Heng hurriedly recounted the events of that day to Si Yu in minute detail.
As Si Yu listened, his expression was unreadable, his emotions churning beneath the surface. His first thought had been that the Imperial Army had taken her. He had never considered that the female would run away on her own.
Once he understood, he let out a low, cold laugh—a mere puff of air that seemed torn from his chest as a dense, searing pain spread through his heart.
’So, her affection for me was all an act? Her willingness to be with me... was that all a lie?’
’How wonderful.’
’It seems I was too indulgent with her.’
’She can run once. I can just drag her back again.’
"Did the Imperial Army take her back?" Si Yu asked coldly.
"The female did not return to the Empire." Zhe Heng swallowed the blood welling in his throat and continued, "I reviewed the relevant surveillance footage. A Beastman disguised as Su Yan took her away. The female should still be on one of our Starships."
’Where did this Wild Beastman come from, daring to covet what is mine?’
A merciless smile touched the corners of Si Yu’s pale lips. "Have you found out which Starship she’s on?"
"I’m still investigating," Zhe Heng answered quickly.
The air grew heavy again.
Si Yu looked at him with a humorless smile. "Hah. And how much longer will that take?"
"I will have an answer for you by tomorrow, Boss! I swear it!" Zhe Heng’s body trembled slightly.
