Top-Tier Female, All Beastmen Want Her
Chapter 133: Encountering Again
A new day, and a beautiful one at that.
Warm sunlight streamed down as Jiang Zheyu slowly descended the stairs. For the past two days, both Feng Qi and Zexun had been quite busy.
It was because Jiang Zheyu had healed Feng Qi’s spiritual power.
As a result, Feng Qi’s position seemed to have changed. He originally only had to patrol the Imperial Capital Star. If he was sent away, it was just for simple missions he could return from by the end of the day. But now, he not only had to patrol the Imperial Capital Star, but other planets as well. He also had to take on long-term assignments that took up much more time.
’With great power comes great responsibility, indeed.’
Zexun, on the other hand, had been handling an appeal case. It seemed to be about a female who had nearly killed her Beast Husband. The Beast Husband fought back and accidentally killed his Female Master in the process. The question was, was it self-defense, or excessive force?
The case was complicated, and the Male Beastman’s family had been constantly seeking Zexun out, so he hadn’t been able to get away.
Naturally, Jiang Zheyu was happy to see them so busy.
’Otherwise, they’re always all over me, and I feel like my back is going to break every night.’
The Little Princess still seemed to have her fits in the middle of the night, but Jiang Zheyu couldn’t hear them anymore since she kept her windows shut.
The only reason she knew the Little Princess was still having these midnight episodes was because she would subconsciously glance out her floor-to-ceiling window when she got up to use the bathroom, and sure enough, she would see the princess in the throes of her madness.
Jiang Zheyu went to the living room. It occurred to her that she hadn’t purified a single Beastman since arriving at the Imperial Palace.
’I’m still over 800 Beastification Value short of 4S-rank spiritual power.’
Before moving into the Imperial Palace, she’d promised Prince Jin she would purify at least five Beastmen a day. However, she’d been so wrapped up with her men that she’d forgotten all about it. Prince Jin must have realized she didn’t have time, because he hadn’t reminded her or sent anyone over.
’Men are really slowing down my progress!’
’I have to purify some Beastmen today!’
Jiang Zheyu called for Xiao Luo, who arrived moments later.
"Princess Zheyu, what are your instructions?" Xiao Luo stopped a short distance from Jiang Zheyu, placed his right hand over his left breast, and bowed slightly as he inquired.
"Has Prince Jin sent over any Beastmen who need their Beastification Value purified or their spiritual power healed?" Jiang Zheyu asked.
"A few days ago, Prince Jin did ask me if you had time for purifications," Xiao Luo replied after a pause. "I informed him of your recent activities, and he told me not to disturb you for the time being."
Jiang Zheyu felt a little embarrassed and shyly bit her lip. She had indeed been busy lately... busy falling in love with her men.
’So Prince Jin really did ask. But since he knew I was busy, he didn’t schedule any Beastmen for me to purify.’
Jiang Zheyu was just about to ask Xiao Luo to check if Prince Jin had time to arrange for some Beastmen to come over.
But before she could say anything, Xiao Luo raised his pink eyes to her and asked, "Princess Zheyu, are you available to perform purifications now?"
"Yes, I’m free right now. You can arrange for them to come over," Jiang Zheyu nodded.
"Prince Jin said that if you were available to perform purifications, he would like you to go to Princess Jin Wan’s palace first. He asks if you would please heal the spiritual power of several of her Beast Husbands."
Jiang Zheyu’s expression faltered at his words. Princess Jin Wan was the Little Princess of the Empire. Prince Jin actually wanted her to go heal the spiritual power of the Little Princess’s Beast Husbands first.
She thought of the Little Princess who went mad every night.
Jiang Zheyu really didn’t want to go to the Little Princess’s palace. ’What should I do?’
’I don’t want to deal with the Little Princess, either. What am I going to do?’
Xiao Luo seemed to notice her hesitation and explained, "Princess Jin Wan’s Beast Husbands with damaged spiritual power don’t live with her. They’re kept in the White Tower."
The hesitation vanished from Jiang Zheyu’s face at Xiao Luo’s words.
’So that means I won’t have to run into Jin Wan.’
After all, Jiang Zheyu had no desire to face that mad girl, Jin Wan. Even though her spiritual power was higher and she would be fine, she didn’t want to invite trouble.
"Then let’s go to the White Tower," Jiang Zheyu said decisively.
"Very well. Princess Zheyu, please follow me." Xiao Luo began to lead the way.
Jiang Zheyu followed.
Perhaps it was just her bad luck, but despite not going out often, it seemed every time Jiang Zheyu did, she would run into the female lead and her Beast Husband.
Today, Yan Luo was again with one of her Beast Husbands, Hui.
Jiang Zheyu found herself wondering, ’Why is Hui the only one ever with the female lead? It seems like every time I see her, he’s the one by her side.’
’Besides Su Yan and Si Yu, the female lead has other men in her harem. Why are none of them ever around?’
Jiang Zheyu saw Yan Luo but decided to pretend she hadn’t. It would be best to just walk past and ignore each other.
Yan Luo had clearly seen Jiang Zheyu as well and seemed to have no intention of greeting her. She shot her a cold glance and then averted her gaze.
As they brushed past each other, Hui, standing beside Yan Luo, sneered, "Dirty little rat."
Yan Luo and Hui walked past, but Jiang Zheyu stopped in her tracks.
’That detestable Hui!’
Jiang Zheyu spun around to face Hui. "You! Stop right there!"
Hui stopped, as if curious to see what Jiang Zheyu could possibly do to him.
Yan Luo saw Hui stop, so she stopped as well.
She just watched from the side, seemingly with no intention of interfering.
"What did you mean by that?" Jiang Zheyu demanded, looking at Hui. ’In the novel, this kind of unhinged man seemed exciting, but dealing with him in person is just plain annoying.’
’Does he really think he can walk all over me?’
"What do I mean?" Hui sneered. It was a simple matter: he’d hate anyone his Luo Luo disliked, only ten thousand times more. "Don’t you know?"
Jiang Zheyu knew perfectly well that Hui was the female lead’s mad dog.
Whoever the female lead was unhappy with, he would sink his teeth into them on her behalf.
But now, Jiang Zheyu was unhappy too. Why should she back down just because of their prejudice?
"Who were you calling a dirty little rat?"
Anger colored Jiang Zheyu’s beautiful, tea-colored eyes.
"Who’s the little rat? Isn’t it obvious?" Hui sneered, his gaze landing on her meaningfully.
"Of course, it’s obvious. You’re the dirty little rat—a dirty little rat from the slums," Jiang Zheyu’s voice grew cold.
