Jiang Zheyu didn’t know what else to say.

She slowly walked inside the palace.

"Princess Yu Yu, I’m back," Jiang Yi’s voice sounded from behind her.

Jiang Zheyu turned to look at Jiang Yi, subconsciously probing him with her spiritual power. She still couldn’t detect any spiritual power from him. That confirmed it—this was definitely the new butler.

The two of them walked into the palace together.

"How did it go? Did you deliver the gift?" Jiang Zheyu turned and asked softly.

"It’s been delivered," Jiang Yi answered gently, his pink, phoenix-like eyes always filled with a doting look as he gazed at Jiang Zheyu.

Jiang Zheyu had also received a message from Prince Jin Yu on her Light Brain, confirming that the new butler had indeed been vetted by them.

He had also sent the new butler’s file to Jiang Zheyu.

The file showed that he was a Rabbit Beastman with A-level spiritual power.

And yet, Jiang Zheyu hadn’t detected any spiritual power fluctuations from him at all.

Even though she knew he had been vetted by the Empire, she still felt uneasy.

Although the new butler seemed perfectly normal for now and showed no signs of being a threat...

Deciding to test him, Jiang Zheyu started a conversation. "Xiaoyi, would you mind if I asked your age?"

"Xiaoyi is very old," was all Jiang Yi said.

Hearing Xiaoyi say that, Jiang Zheyu guessed he must be several hundred years old.

"Is your beast form a rabbit, too?" Jiang Zheyu recalled that Xiao Luo had pink hair and pink eyes, just like a little pink-furred rabbit. The new butler also had pink hair and pink eyes, so it was no surprise that Jiang Zheyu would think the same of him.

But this was mainly a test. ’If he’s a Biorobot linked to a Beastman’s spiritual power, some mechanical parts would inevitably be exposed when he transforms from his Biorobot form to his beast form.’

"Yes, Jiang Yi’s beast form is a rabbit," Jiang Yi said with a slight nod.

The two of them returned to the palace’s main hall.

Jiang Zheyu looked up at him and nodded. "Show me your rabbit ears."

Jiang Yi seemed to freeze for a moment, his gaze resting quietly on Jiang Zheyu’s face. "Does Princess Yu Yu wish to see my rabbit ears?"

For Beastmen, their tails and ears were extremely sensitive parts. Usually, only their own Female Master was allowed to see them. Yet now, Princess Yu Yu was asking to see his rabbit ears, which felt like some kind of hint.

But as Jiang Yi looked into her calm, tea-colored eyes, which stared at him with unblinking focus, it didn’t seem like a hint. It was as if she genuinely just wanted to look at his rabbit ears.

’But why is her gaze so serious, so unblinking...’

’Does she like rabbit ears?’

Jiang Yi wondered, his mind drifting.

Of course, Jiang Zheyu was staring without blinking, terrified she would miss seeing even the smallest mechanical part!

When she noticed Jiang Yi wasn’t making a move, she asked quietly, "What’s wrong? Can’t you make your ears appear?"

"I can," Jiang Yi said with a gentle smile. ’And not just rabbit ears. If Princess Yu Yu wanted to see the ears of other Beastmen, I could install those, too.’

As Jiang Yi spoke, he slowly leaned over and lowered his head in front of Jiang Zheyu, as if to give her a clearer view.

Jiang Zheyu fell silent for a moment. ’The reason I’m staring so intently is to see if any mechanical parts are exposed the instant the beast ears appear!’

’Who knew he’d just lower his head like that? From this angle, I’ll be able to see everything perfectly!’

’Could it be because even if they’re mechanical, the rabbit ears look so realistic that they won’t reveal the slightest trace of machinery?’

Two pinkish-white rabbit ears slowly sprouted from amidst the man’s pink hair.

"Princess Yu Yu, if you like them, you can touch them," the man’s voice was both encouraging and indulgent.

’Perfect,’ Jiang Zheyu thought. ’I’ll give them a touch. Can something mechanical really feel like the real thing?’

"Then don’t mind if I do," Jiang Zheyu said, reaching out, grabbing a rabbit ear, and trying to bend it.

’A mechanical joint couldn’t possibly fold a full 180 degrees, right?’

It indeed couldn’t be folded 180 degrees. Halfway through, she felt the resistance of a flexible rabbit ear bone. It felt completely real!

Jiang Zheyu paused. ’Are interstellar Biorobots this incredible? Can they really simulate a Beastman one hundred percent?’

While she was still in a daze, a large hand wrapped around her wrist. The man looked up at her, a helpless expression on his face. "Princess Yu Yu, please don’t bend it so hard... It hurts..."

That last word, "hurts," was a low, breathy sound unique to a man’s voice.

Hearing his voice, Jiang Zheyu let go of the rabbit ear as if she’d been shocked. She quickly took a few steps back. "S-sorry!"

’He’s faking it, he must be,’ she thought. ’He’s a Biorobot, made entirely of machinery. How could he possibly feel pain?’

Jiang Yi slowly straightened up, his face still bearing a gentle, doting smile. "It’s alright."

However, he still wanted to remind his Princess Yu Yu. "Princess Yu Yu, in the future, you shouldn’t casually ask to see a Beastman’s tail or ears. Those parts are considered a Beastman’s second most private areas."

Jiang Zheyu’s expression froze, and she looked a little embarrassed. "Then why didn’t you tell me that earlier?"

’I already looked and even touched them. Doesn’t that make me a total pervert?’

’Although, an emotionless Biorobot is different from a real Beastman. They can’t be put in the same category.’

’But he hasn’t revealed his identity as a Biorobot; he’s presenting himself as a normal Beastman.’

Jiang Zheyu could only apologize again. "I’m sorry. I’ll remember that for next time."

"Princess Yu Yu should remember not to do this to others, but you can always do it to me," Jiang Yi said with a faint smile.

Jiang Yi slowly explained, "Because Princess Yu Yu is Jiang Yi’s master. Jiang Yi belongs entirely to Princess Yu Yu."

Jiang Zheyu felt like her brain was short-circuiting. She desperately wanted to just ask him outright: ’Who exactly are you? Why are you spiritually linked to a Biorobot’s body? What is your real purpose for getting close to me?’
