Jiang Zheyu looked at Su Yan but didn’t voice her first idea.

If she told him she was going to help other Beastmen purify their Beastification Value, leaving aside the safety concerns, the mere fact that the Beastmen might not be able to resist physical contact during the process meant Su Yan probably wouldn’t agree.

Jiang Zheyu was fine with physical contact like a hug; she didn’t think it was a big deal.

In fact, she found hugs to be a very comforting gesture.

Sometimes, she felt that a hug could bring a wave of warm, positive energy.

However, to prevent any Beastman from crossing a line with a hug, Jiang Zheyu planned to use her System to knock them out first. Then she could just treat them.

So, as long as her System was with her, Jiang Zheyu felt she could really go all out.

Still, it wouldn’t be good to tell Su Yan about this plan.

"I’m thinking of going out later to see if there are any jobs available for females," Jiang Zheyu said quietly. To make her story more convincing, she added, "If you know of any openings, you could recommend them to me, too."

Hearing this, Su Yan seemed somewhat convinced and nodded. "Okay."

When Jiang Zheyu saw him nod, she knew she’d gotten away with it.

Meanwhile, Su Yan began to think about finding a relaxed, high-paying job for his Female Master.

But because the interstellar population had few females and many males, most females were supported by their Beast Husbands. Very few were willing to work, and they didn’t have to—their Male Beastmen were more than capable of providing for them. As a result, most jobs were for Male Beastmen.

However, if his Female Master wanted to give it a try, Su Yan wouldn’t stop her. He didn’t want to crush the young woman’s confidence.

Jiang Zheyu used her Light Brain to add the contacts for the heads of these dozen or so families.

As she went through the stack of files, she discovered that none of these dozen or so families had a female. They had their own "male fathers," which meant they had all been abandoned by a female, leaving the Male Beastman to raise their children alone.

Some of the other Male Beastmen had no "female mother" or "male father" at all, having been abandoned as children.

It was true. If a female grew tired of a Male Beastman, she would casually discard him, along with any male cubs they’d had together. Females would only keep their daughters.

So, in reality, these were all single-parent families.

Jiang Zheyu sighed inwardly. ’They were already single-parent families, and on top of that, they had to endure being tormented by Bai Ruo. Life is just too hard for them.’

They returned to the villa.

Jiang Zheyu hadn’t bathed in three or four days and couldn’t stand it any longer, so she rushed back to her room to take a bath.

"Welcome back, Master Yu Yu," Xiaoyi’s voice rang out in the room.

"Mhm, I’m back," Jiang Zheyu replied. "Xiaoyi, could you please draw a bath for me?"

"Of course, Master Yu Yu," Xiaoyi replied.

As Jiang Zheyu soaked in the tub, she began to communicate with the System in her mind.

"System, oh System, can I use points to buy things from your System Mall and then resell them in this world?" Jiang Zheyu voiced her other idea. "Like modern novels, or ancient storybooks."

There wasn’t much in the way of cultural entertainment here. She had checked before and found that entertainment in the form of novels was particularly scarce.

She planned to make money by exporting some culture from Ancient Earth.

’Although I only know how to dance, sing, and play the piano, my System has an all-powerful mall!’

"Of course you can. The points you give are equivalent to paying the copyright fees for these novels and storybooks," the System slowly explained. "The same goes for other weapons and various items. As long as you’ve paid, once the item is in your hands, you have the right to use it."

Jiang Zheyu blinked. She remembered the System had an interstellar-themed section in its mall where weapons were bought with Star Coins. She could buy them from the System Mall with Star Coins and then sell them to people here at a higher price, earning the difference.

As for items from other planes that required points, like novels and storybooks, she could buy several and start serializing them for sale in this interstellar world. It was a way to convert points into even more Star Coins.

"System, why didn’t you come bind with me when I was in the modern era?" Jiang Zheyu silently asked the System in her mind.

"Now you see how useful I am, don’t you, Host?" the System said proudly. "If you had started using the System earlier, you could have solved more than half of your life’s problems."

"That’s right. If you had bound with me in the modern era, I wouldn’t have had to become a kept woman," Jiang Zheyu said, starting her skincare routine after her bath.

"But the modern era doesn’t have any Beastification Value," the System pointed out quietly. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

Jiang Zheyu paused. ’Now that it mentions it, that’s true.’

"It’s not like you suffered much as that tycoon’s kept woman in the modern era," the System retorted, the corner of its metaphorical mouth twitching. It didn’t understand why its host thought it was a shame they hadn’t bound earlier.

"I suffered at the hands of one man," Jiang Zheyu sighed.

System: "..."

"Host, that’s not what you said when you first got here," the System quietly reminded her.

"Well, it takes time to adjust to new things," Jiang Zheyu said slowly to the System. "After all, when you’ve been in your comfort zone for so long, it’s hard to accept being suddenly thrown into a strange place."

’When you’ve been a kept woman for a long time, it’s only natural to not want to work hard yourself.’

However, the huge debt she faced in this reality forced Jiang Zheyu to start working hard, step by step. Even so, her sights were set only on the short-term goal of making money; she had no ambitions of relying on her System to conquer the galaxy and become some powerful matriarch.

The System couldn’t guarantee that its host wouldn’t one day want to become a powerful woman, though.

But Jiang Zheyu seemed to only ever love money.

’The tycoon from her modern world was also quite rich...’

The System suddenly felt like it couldn’t quite figure out its host.

"Host, did you ever really love that tycoon from your old life?" the System asked, its curiosity piqued.

Jiang Zheyu walked out wearing a white slip dress and said leisurely to the System, "Of course I loved him. You can’t live with someone for that long without love."

’That’s why she now genuinely, sincerely liked Su Yan.’

’Sure enough, with love, staying in this strange world didn’t feel so unbearable anymore.’

"Doesn’t seem like you loved him *that* much..." the System grumbled. She had fallen for another man so quickly.

’And here I was, worried she wouldn’t be able to survive in this world.’

"Let’s not talk about it, okay?" Jiang Zheyu said, walking to the door of Su Yan’s room. "A good ex is one who acts like they’re dead."

’Even though I’d get a bit down when I hit a snag, I wasn’t the type to live or die for a man, nor would I ever lose the will to live.’

The System figured its host would probably be able to survive here after all.

Jiang Zheyu knocked on Su Yan’s door. ’Time to get properly used to Su Yan’s beast form.’
