Top-Tier Female, All Beastmen Want Her
Chapter 44: Application
Recalling Su Yan’s behavior from the night before, Jiang Zheyu sent a cold, one-word reply: "Okay."
In his office, Su Yan saw the message and knew he must have worn the young woman out last night. The memory of how she looked in bed made his red eyes darken. He lowered his eyelids, forcibly suppressing the thoughts that surged within him once more.
’His Female Master was beautiful, beautiful in every way.’
Su Yan: "I’ll let my Yu Yu punish me when I get home tonight."
After sending the reply, Su Yan saw that his Beastification Value had already dropped to 70.
He was now eligible to apply to return to the front lines.
In the past, he would have immediately applied to return to the front without a second thought. Now, however, he hesitated.
If he returned to the army and was permanently stationed on the primary battlefield, it would mean not seeing his Yu Yu for a very long time.
Soldiers on the front lines were forbidden from using their Light Brains to contact family on six out of seven days. They were only allowed to do so during their half-day off on the weekend.
Furthermore, there were numerous field missions, during which all contact with family was almost completely severed. Communication could only be restored after a mission was fully completed.
For the first time, Su Yan realized that having a Female Master had made him far less decisive.
He also knew that this month, his Female Master was required to be matched with a new Male Beastman.
It was the law of the Empire, and he had no special privileges. Not even the current Prince had the right to exclusively possess a female.
And yet, a wicked and selfish part of Su Yan wanted to keep his Female Master all to himself.
However, with his Beastification Value dropping so rapidly, the Empire had likely already taken notice.
He had also discovered how unique his Female Master’s Spiritual Comfort ability was.
Normally, for a female to perform Spiritual Comfort on a male, one of two conditions had to be met: either the male had to completely trust the female, or the female’s spiritual power had to be suppressed to a point where it posed no threat. Only then could the process succeed.
And yet, his Female Master could enter his Spiritual Domain without his consent, slipping in silently and even performing Spiritual Comfort.
Su Yan was an S+++ Level Male Beastman—the absolute highest tier—yet he still couldn’t detect his Female Master’s spiritual power when she entered his mind. This proved her own spiritual power was anything but low.
’The higher her spiritual power, the more Male Beastmen the Empire would force her to match with...’
Su Yan’s red eyes darkened dangerously.
Meanwhile, Jiang Zheyu saw Su Yan’s message, merely raised an eyebrow, and didn’t reply.
She continued to scroll through her Light Brain messages and discovered that "sy," her top supporter, had sent her numerous messages while she was being held at the Female Office.
Si Yu: Still haven’t agreed?
Si Yu: Answer me.
Both messages had been sent on the day Jiang Zheyu was taken to the Female Office and had her Light Brain confiscated.
He hadn’t sent any more for the following two days, likely because he had learned of her situation.
But he had sent two more today.
Si Yu: Are you awake?
Si Yu: Reply.
Seeing the messages from her supporter "sy," Jiang Zheyu was reminded that he was the "somewhat crazy" Dragon Bone Lizard from the novel. Then she recalled the Beast Mate application he’d sent, and on top of that, the fact that she had to be matched with a new Beast Husband this month.
For a moment, Jiang Zheyu’s thoughts were a tangled mess. ...
Jiang Zheyu went on the Star Network to search for conditions under which a female could avoid being forcibly matched with a Beast Mate. The answer came quickly. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
1. The female finds her own Beast Mate within the specified time limit.
2. The female is serving in the Military Tower and cannot be matched with a Beast Mate during her term of service.
...
These answers were both informative and completely useless.
In short, she had to match with a Male Beastman, one way or another.
If she refused to match, her only option was to voluntarily renounce her status as an interstellar citizen, forfeit her Light Brain, become a nameless female, and consequently lose all protection under Imperial law.
Typically, females without Light Brains or citizenship ended up either kept in captivity by Interstellar Evil Thieves or illegally kept as private property by other Male Beastmen.
In the novel, the original protagonist developed a reagent that could lower the Beastification Value, which greatly improved the situation. She later used this reagent as leverage to change the Empire’s laws so that females no longer had to be forcibly matched with Beastmen.
’But the protagonist hasn’t developed it yet!’
Jiang Zheyu did, however, see a similar reagent in the System Mall that could also lower the Beastification Value. She checked the price—it was only 100 Star Coins.
She thought for a moment and decided against stealing the original protagonist’s thunder.
’Otherwise, I could just copy the protagonist’s path, sell the reagent for an astronomical number of Star Coins, and reach the pinnacle of success myself.’
Jiang Zheyu thought it over and concluded that she should probably just buy a Beastman. A match didn’t have to result in becoming Beast Mates, after all; she could always let him go later. Besides, a purchased Beastman would likely be more obedient.
’So, the problem of having to find a Beast Mate is solved. But what about the problem of Si Yu wanting to be my Beast Mate?’
First, Jiang Zheyu went to her Light Brain’s inbox to handle the matching application from Si Yu.
Even though the body’s original owner had been a vicious female, plenty of unknown Beastmen had still sent her matching applications.
A glance at her inbox showed a total of one thousand three hundred forty emails.
This was the total accumulated over several years.
Jiang Zheyu searched directly for Si Yu’s name, and his application email quickly popped up on her Light Brain.
A matching application email contained a Beastman’s personal, family, and financial details.
Jiang Zheyu opened Si Yu’s application.
The ID photo showed a man with long silver hair and dark green eyes. He gazed quietly at the camera, exuding an air of lazy, harmless tranquility.
The man’s features were undeniably stunning. His dark green eyes were as gorgeous as mist-shrouded mountains, his lips were perfectly shaped, and his nose was high and straight. His narrow, elegant eyes seemed to gaze at you with profound affection.
Jiang Zheyu stared at the ID photo, her eyes flickering. It was a strange feeling to see the novel’s written descriptions of his appearance made real right in front of her.
’He’s handsome, but... he’s Si Yu.’
Jiang Zheyu then looked over Si Yu’s personal, family, and financial details and knew instantly that everything except the ID photo was fake.
After all, the profile listed an education from elementary to high school, but in the novel, Si Yu was an Interstellar Evil Thief who had never received a formal education like a normal interstellar citizen.
Si Yu operated in both legitimate and illegitimate circles, but his underground network was far more vast.
Even his legitimate-seeming businesses were probably just fronts.
The details in his email were likely copied from one of his subordinates.
That was Jiang Zheyu’s guess.
She had just finished looking at Si Yu’s application when a new message from him arrived on her Light Brain.
Si Yu: Don’t bother reading it. Just agree.
Si Yu: Everything but the photo is fake.
Si Yu: You can get to know the real me after we meet.
Jiang Zheyu read the messages and suddenly remembered: when a female viewed a matching application, the applicant was notified that their email had been read...
