"It’s done." Jiang Zheyu withdrew the hand that had been holding the man’s. Her small, fair hand vanished into her black robes, her entire figure concealed by the garment.

The Old Beastman had been watching the entire time, terrified something might go wrong. But as he saw the expression on his son’s face gradually soften, he finally began to relax.

Then, his eyes fell on the Beastification Value monitor on Lai Ka’s wrist. He was stunned to see that the value, which had been 87, had dropped to zero.

His pupils contracted. He stared at the robed figure in disbelief, but all he could see beneath the wide hood was a grotesque, smiling white mask.

"Confirm that the treatment was successful, and remember to send the payment."

The man allowed her to pull his hand away, but in the same motion, he took hold of hers.

Jiang Zheyu saw Feng Qi, dressed in a black military uniform.

"Jiang Yuyu, this place is about to get very dangerous." Feng Qi looked down at her. "That Su Yan fellow is really slacking on the job. How could he let you be out here alone so late? Why don’t you leave him and be with me instead?"
