Top-Tier Female, All Beastmen Want Her
Chapter 88: Dark Web
It was true what they said. You couldn’t just lock a person up without any form of entertainment.
She was trapped in a room, and as she lay on the bed, she felt as cold and still as a corpse.
"System, are you there?" Jiang Zheyu had no one to talk to but her system. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"Host, I am here," the system replied.
"System, what do you look like?" Jiang Zheyu was so bored she’d resorted to asking about the system’s appearance.
"The system suggests that if you are truly bored, you could choose to escape. This would add some excitement and fun to your life," the system’s mechanical voice replied.
"Wait!" An idea struck Jiang Zheyu, and her spirits lifted. "System, can you play movies? Or let me read novels?"
Entertainment in the interstellar age was pitifully scarce. There were hardly any novels or movies to watch.
Most of what was available were educational videos about the Zerg Race.
Besides, she didn’t have a Light Brain, so she couldn’t watch those videos anyway.
"All of those require points to purchase before they can be played for the host," the system replied.
Naturally, Jiang Zheyu made the purchase generously.
A movie only cost 5 points, after all.
So Jiang Zheyu stared into the empty space before her, but she was actually watching a movie the system was playing.
Just like that, staying in her room was no longer boring.
While Si Yu was handling matters in his office, he noticed it had been excessively quiet for some time. The two Beastmen he’d assigned to guard Jiang Zheyu hadn’t sent him any reports.
’Has the female stopped causing trouble? Or has she escaped?’
Si Yu opened his Light Brain and pulled up the video surveillance feed for Jiang Zheyu’s room.
He quickly skimmed through the female’s activities for the day.
The feed ended with the little female sitting on the bed, hugging her knees. Her gaze was fixed on the empty space in front of her. Her expression was neither dejected nor excited, just... calm.
Si Yu’s dark green eyes flickered. He quickly checked the surveillance feed from outside her door.
No Beastmen had visited her today.
After a moment’s thought, he left his office.
Jiang Zheyu was absorbed in her movie and didn’t even notice when the door to her room opened.
Not until the mattress dipped beside her.
Only then did she pause, turning her head to look. "A Yu," she said, surprised. "Are you finished with work?"
Si Yu paused. He wasn’t quite used to the girl’s intimate tone. It was as if they were an ordinary Beast Mate couple.
Because he had obtained her so easily, it all felt a little unreal.
He couldn’t tell if she genuinely liked him or was just trying to placate him.
"Were you bored today?" Si Yu scooped the girl up and settled her in his lap.
Jiang Zheyu shifted, finding a comfortable position against him, and nodded. "Yes, so, so bored."
"As long as you don’t contact anyone else and don’t try to run, I can stop locking you up," Si Yu said. Seeing her on the monitor, sitting and hugging her knees like that, had stirred a strange displeasure in him. She looked like a caged flower on the verge of withering.
He didn’t like it.
"Okay!" Jiang Zheyu’s eyes lit up as she looked at Si Yu.
She had no idea why Si Yu had suddenly relented.
"I want to watch you dance," Si Yu said, his fingertips caressing her brow.
Jiang Zheyu’s eyes curved into a smile. "Of course."
There was a knock on the door.
"Come in," Si Yu said casually.
A Beastman quickly entered, carrying a set of clothes on a tray.
"Boss, the clothes you requested have arrived." With his head bowed, the Beastman set down the clothes, left, and closed the door behind him.
"Wear this to dance," Si Yu said, the corner of his lip twitching into a smile. His lip stud glinted under the bright lights.
Jiang Zheyu picked up the outfit and saw that the dress was the exact same style as the one she had worn while dancing on her livestreams.
The only difference was the addition of many accessories: bells for her ankles, a bell for her neck, and more bells on the waist chain.
Jiang Zheyu was speechless.
’Looks like there’s no escaping tonight.’
In the spacious center of the room.
The girl danced barefoot, her movements graceful. The bright light cascaded down, seeming to coat her skin in a lustrous sheen.
Si Yu’s dark green eyes gradually darkened, swirling with boundless desire.
As the dance ended, Si Yu lifted her and sat her on the bed.
The man knelt before her. His long fingers wrapped around her ankle as he pressed a light kiss to it, his lips traveling up her calf...
...
Her spiritual power was forcibly suppressed and merged with the man’s.
...
For the next few days, Jiang Zheyu lived on the Starship.
Other than the ache in her lower back every morning when she woke up, things were fine.
Sometimes, when that guy Si Yu had free time, he would spend the entire day doing *that* with her.
Even when he was busy, he would still come to her every night without fail.
Jiang Zheyu was numb to it all. The man had no self-control.
She discovered that the Starship had five levels. However, Si Yu only allowed her to wander around the third, fourth, and fifth levels; she was forbidden from going down to the first and second.
The upper three levels were massive, filled with all sorts of entertainment facilities.
At the same time, the place was practically deserted. So far, besides herself, Jiang Zheyu had only seen the four or five familiar Beastmen who followed Si Yu around.
And, of course, there were the two Beastmen who were always by her side, ostensibly to "protect" her.
Jiang Zheyu now knew their names: one was Zhe Heng, and the other was Zhe Feng.
Both were Beastmen who were utterly loyal to Si Yu.
Jiang Zheyu was also given a Light Brain to use. It wasn’t her own, however, but one with a burner ID.
She asked her system and learned that this Light Brain was being monitored by Si Yu’s main one.
This meant that if she dared to use it to contact anyone, Si Yu would know immediately. He could also block her outgoing messages—even if she hit send, the message would never actually go through.
Fortunately, Jiang Zheyu hadn’t tried to contact anyone.
She also learned that this Light Brain wasn’t connected to the Star Network, but to the Dark Web. That way, the Empire couldn’t detect them or track their movements.
Through the Light Brain, Jiang Zheyu also learned that the reagent for Purification Beastification Value was now in mass production.
The heroine of the story was gloriously attending numerous lectures, and there was even news about terrorists disrupting one of her talks...
Also, Su Yan had successfully annihilated a Star Thief Gang.
This was all in the interstellar news published by the Empire.
Seeing this, Jiang Zheyu felt that Su Yan would probably come to rescue her soon.
’I wonder if he can find this Starship.’
After finishing with the news, she started boredly browsing livestreams on the Light Brain.
’So many handsome Beastmen.’
After all, females didn’t do livestreams.
So Jiang Zheyu went from watching handsome Beastmen tame wild beasts, to educational streams about interstellar Mechas, and then to Beastman streamers doing suggestive broadcasts.
A link popped up, and she accidentally clicked on it.
A bloody livestream immediately filled the screen.
Jiang Zheyu jumped in fright and hurriedly closed it. The link had already vanished.
She just frowned slightly and opened Xingdou again. Why was it still showing that bloody scene?
She quickly swiped a few times, only to find that every livestream was R-rated!
’What’s happening? Did the Light Brain get a virus?’
