At the front of the procession, an old pilgrim remnant turned.

"Climbers," he said, "walk with us to the Last Shrine."

Qin Yuchen and Wei-like discipline were absent, so he personally held rear guard with Qin Lian. Qin Yuheng stayed middle to coordinate. Qin Mo protected the lantern cluster.

By midnight, they had lost only six pilgrims.

The skull shrine opened its eyes.

Some obeyed.

The old pilgrim raised his lantern.

"We walk to rest," he said, voice clearer now. "Not to be consumed."

The procession turned.

The False Shrine roared.

The team fought while the pilgrims moved toward the broken altar.

The boss was difficult because damaging it caused faith erosion waves. Qin Yuheng used restraint, targeting chain roots rather than the shrine body. Qin Mo redirected lantern flames. Qin Lian cut eye threads. Qin Yuchen guarded the old pilgrim.

At the broken altar, the pilgrims placed their lanterns down.

The altar lit.

The skull shrine cracked.

The true Last Shrine had never been grand. It was small, forgotten, and honest.

The False Shrine collapsed.
