Chapter 186: Brawl at the beach.

Those who were looking could see it in her eyes, that she had not come as a simple mother, but a commander. Her cubs clung to her side, bandaged, bruised, but their eyes gleaming with anticipation.

People froze. Some parents rushed to hide their children behind them. Some teens remained smug, figuring she would not lay a hand on them because they were children.

The bottom of Sienna’s dress fluttered in the salty wind. She looked at the the people through regal eyes, as if they were all below her. "Anyone that laid hands on my children and bee should step forward right now."

Not one person moved.

Sienna smiled threateningly, "I won’t repeat myself. You were brave enough to do the crime, so you should be brave enough to suffer the consequences. It doesn’t matter if you hide, as long as my cubs point you out, then today, you will learn the price."

Ali sniffled but straightened, emboldened by her mother’s presence. "Her, that one pinched me, she slapped me."

Everyone that she pointed out, the fox guards and falcon relatives pulled from the ground.

"Lady Sienna, must you handle things like this? This was a simple misunderstanding between children." An owl beast woman whose child had been involved screamed. "As an adult, are you going to assault my child?"

Eli grinned, loudly replying. "Which is why we children are going to settle this. Mama can’t fight your child, but I can."

Soren and the others cracked their knuckles, gleaming with delight.

"Finally," Kria said, "a chance to have fun without grandpa frowning at us. Hey owl, your daughter is mine."

Sienna folded her arms, feigning innocence. "If my younger nieces and nephews happen to defend their kin, who can accuse me of bullying?"

Eli pointed out more children whose faces he could remember. Most were teenagers. So far, eight had been identified. Their side shuffled nervously, "We didn’t mean--" one began.

But Soren charged before the boy could finish. Sand flew, shrieks filled the air. All the children on Sienna’s side trained with the fox guards and falcons regularly, so they were skilled. The bullies were not.

Bees joined the fight, stinging everyone that was on the bully side, children and adults alike.

Honey Thunder went after everyone that tried to rip off her wings.

Sienna stood tall, watching with a smirk. Even if the police was called, her hands were clean. And who would they arrest, the bees or the children?

The fox guards threw themselves into the fight, especially Liman, She went after the cheetah beast man that Ali identified as the one that scratched her with claws. He was a young beast man, no more than twenty five. He was old enough to understand what he had done.

The fight which started small seemed to evolve. Falcons knocked over pails with crabs and sea food. People were thrown into tents. Grandma Byra dunked the owl beast woman into the water.

The bee swarm was the most terrifying, it was as if the bees had eyes on every part of their body. They went after anyone that attempted to escape. After stinging the escapee, they made way for Sienna to finish the job with her pan. Parents screamed, flailing wildly. Some dove into the sea, to swim to the nearest boats and escape.

The bees and falcons worked as group, rescuing them, just to sting and beat them up again. It was like a never ending reincarnation pain cycle.

Grandma Byra pulled Ali away from the crowd. "Sienna, don’t let the cubs get involved. Their wounds will get infected!" She tried to shield them with a shawl, even as sand flew around them. She still shouted at the fox guards, and the falcon team, "Hit harder! They used claws so use your claws. They left marks on my great daughter’s face and almost blinded my great grandson. Show no mercy! Break some ribs. Tear their mouths. Rips their tongues."

The fox guards, spurned by her instructions doubled their efforts in punishing the adults.

Timothy arrived with back up, surveying the chaos with narrowed eyes. "Oh be still my small heart." He said, coming to a stop behind Sienna. "I was told that you came to arrest the culprits who injured the heirs of the fox lord. This is not arresting, this is revenge,"

Sienna shrugged, lips curling. "Semantics."

The new fox guards joined the fight. That small corner of the beach devolved into pandemonium. Children cried, adults brawled, teenage falcons whooped with glee, fox guards fought as if it was a battlefield, bees rained down stingers and buzzed like thunder. A crowd gathered, random strangers joining the fight.

"Mama," Eli tugged on Sienna’s dress.

She looked down with a smile. "Yes baby."

"This is a mess." He chuckled. "But I like it. But you know he is not going to like it?"

"Between your papa, Lady Cadelaria and the council of fox elders, I cannot decide." She replied with a laugh. "But it doesn’t matter, because the lesson has been taught." She touched their heads and said, "Remember, babies, don’t let anyone think that they can harm you without consequence. We will bring them down, even if we have to destroy the world."

The cubs nodded, eyes gleaming.

Timothy shuddered. "What kind of lesson are you teaching them?" he murmured.

Just as Sienna was about to declare the fight over, because their side had won, a new presence cut through the chaos. A wave of energy that sent those who were fighting flying. Some fell on the sand, and others in the water.

A heavy tramp of boots, the crackle of authority and a loud whistle were the sounds which came next. Enforces flooded the beach, armored and grim.

A lion beast man who lead them raised his voice booming. "Enough. I don’t care who started it, arrest everyone."

People froze. Fox guards stiffened, children dropped their fists, Honey Thunder and her bees hovered uncertainly.

"Mama, are we going to prison?" Ali whispered.

The beach held its breath, chaos suspended by the shadow of a higher authority And as the enforcers closed in, Sienna’s fate, and the fate of her group hung on the edge of a blade.
