Trapped In A Novel As The Breeding Mate For Four Powerful Alphas
Chapter 465: Yes, I’m petty and fickle and will not let you ride in our car
"Seo-Jun, how did you find us?" I asked and he brought his gaze back to me.
"Well, with you on the news, it wasn’t that hard to know you were right where I was." He said. "Right under my nose," he slithered closer and I grimaced.
Ugh, the photo didn’t even show our faces well but he was so confident he was us. Well, it’s not like Jie-Yu didn’t immediately know it was us either.
Ki-hoon is just so hard to miss even when in disguise.
"That must be why you texted me right? You must’ve seen me working and thought I followed you like a creep."
He was right on point. He even got the creep part. A gold star for you.
"Well, I just wanted to be sure," I said, lifting the panda up a little more and hiding my chin for no reason. "But we left the zoo already and were in this hotel. How did you find us?" Seo-Jun grinned.
"Well, yes, you did, and it made me wonder what sort of messy and dirty things you two were up to." He drew his face closer but Ki-hoon blocked him, palming his face and pushing his back.
"You checked the security cameras, didn’t you?" Ki-hoon asked and Seo-Jun clicked his tongue, escaping Ki-hoon’s palm.
"So what?"
This was quite something. Did he want to see me so bad that he had to check the CCTV? It’s almost like he resolved himself to crash land into our date.
I sighed.
Well, at least we were done and already going home. We’ve had all the fun we came out to get so there’s nothing to regret.
"Anyway, we’re heading home," I said. "You can stay a while longer."
"Oh my, what a coincidence," he clasped his hands together and I flinched. Don’t tell me. With that bold and wide grin on his face, he declared, "I’m also going home too, so I’ll just hit a ride with you two."
I knew he had no pure intentions when he decided on that, but what could I do to stop him?
It was a simple ride back home.
Who was I to say no?
If anything, I’d seem fickle if I said no.
"No!" Here came the fickle answer from Ki-hoon.
He looked down at Seo-Jun, as if flaunting his height. Ah, it always gets me but I noticed that Ki-hoon was the tallest among my Alphas. I mean, he’s got that mean Alpha aura sometimes, trying to look down on all of them when he’s not playing the innocent cat on my lap.
Seo-Jun’s grin turned upside down and he frowned.
He placed one hand on his waist and poked Ki-hoon’s chest with the other.
"What do you mean, no? Are you that petty you can’t even let me hitch a ride?" He asked but Ki-hoon only narrowed his eyes more.
"Yes, I’m petty, fickle, and will not let you ride in our car, so call a cab if you’ve got a problem with it."
"You...!" Seo-Jun felt pissed beyond pissed.
He should just get his own car at this point, and try to do a race or something. Why does he want to ride in our car by all means?
I’m asking like I don’t already know his temperament.
I sighed, and then suddenly he turned to me, shocking me, and I flinched.
What’s this? What’s he planning now? I have a bad feeling about this.
"Jo-Pil," he called and suddenly placed his hands on my shoulders, giving me this clingy puppy look that made my skin crawl. "You’ll let me ride in your car, right?"
I felt creeped out. I’d rather he try to tease me than act like a freaking puppy, this fucking fox.
"Fine, fine," I said, "Just... wipe that expression on his face."
Instead of just wiping it, he kissed my cheek and went all,
"I knew you’d help me. You’re the best."
I froze. What was he aiming for? This guy.
I saw Ki-hoon trembling, clenching his fist as he held back from doing whatever his mind was pushing him to do.
And then he relaxed, sighing.
It wasn’t worth it to lose his temper for the lies of Seo-Jun, he thought.
"It’s getting late, Jo-Pil." He said to me.
"Ah, yes, Hyung," I responded. "We should start leaving now."
"I’ll hit a ride in the back too." Seo-Jun danced his way into the backseat before anyone could object.
I saw Ki-hoon tremble again and I sighed. Just hold it in, Hyung. It’ll pass soon. Though, I can’t say that’ll be the case by the time we get home.
Seo-Jun just had that talent for pissing people off and feeling good about it.
In a minute, we were all seated in the back seat. I was in the middle, of course, and both of them held one of my hands, as if I were a calming talisman that would help them get rid of their violent energy towards each other.
I sighed.
If I could become a calming talisman, I guess that’s for the best.
I got a text message but I couldn’t even pick it up since both of them were holding my hands. Who would I let go of? Hmm, what a dilemma.
"Is it Jie-Yu?" Ki-hoon asked and I nodded.
"Probably."
He looked proud like he knew something that was going on that Seo-Jun did not.
He helped me pick out my phone and showed me the message without speaking. You could just let go of my hand, but noooo~ it’s best to act as my hand instead. Right!
Jie-Yu sent a message that she’s done and wants to take a cab, if I’ve already made my way back.
Ah, by done, did she mean she’s sucked the life out of that guy?
Well, I’ll hear the whole story later. Plus, that gives me peace knowing I won’t have to put up with this alone.
I yanked my hand out of both their hold and took my phone, smiling nervously.
"I... I need to send a text," I said and kept my head down as I texted her, asking where she was.
No way was I going to be stuck in this mess alone.
(Your Alphas, your mess. Don’t drag the poor girl into this, haha)
