Valen’s hunger was finally satiated, just in time for the three minutes to pass by. He reclined on his chair, sipping the pomegranate juice.

He navigated a blue screen floating before him as he checked the new functions of the Silver Watch.

Valen’s eyes lit up with excitement once he was done reading through the features. Although there were no weapon modes like in the Level 1 features, to him, these Level 2 features were equally as outstanding.

If he could sell things at the system shop, then he would be able to earn points without needing to fight monsters. It was limited to only Level 20 and below items, but that wasn’t a matter. Points couldn’t be traded, so any additional points he made were precious.

However, he couldn’t help but frown as he saw a problem. Wasn’t the EXP required to level up to Level 3 too much? Level 1 had only needed a hundred and Level 2 a thousand. Yet now...

Also, why had the details on the weapons remained unchanged, even after the level up?

"System, my Silver Watch is already at Level 2, so why had the limitations and cooldown of the weapons remained the same?" he asked in confusion.

System: [It doesn’t need to be changed.]

Valen’s lips twitched at the straightforward reply. He couldn’t help but retort: "Why would I need to wait for a Level 2 weapon’s cooldown to end every day just to use it? Isn’t that a waste of time? Valen was startled. He never knew things worked like this. He couldn’t help feeling embarrassed. After all, he had only heard bits and pieces of information about the Silver Watch, and he had only Evolved this morning.

Even so, he kept a straight face. He couldn’t let an AI get one over on him. If shamelessness had to be deployed for the ’greater good’, then so be it. He, Valen, was willing to bear this burden.

’It’s no wonder the EXP needed to level up the watch would be so much. If my Silver Watch could reach Level 10 and possess the firepower of a Level 100, even if just twice a day, I’ll be unstoppable in my rank.’ Valen thought in anticipation.

Then he recalled how he was almost dealt with by the cloaked man. At that time, his Silver Watch was already Level 2, meaning it possessed Level 20 firepower.

If he had known that, couldn’t he have just fired a laser beam, blasted out an acoustic shockwave, fired his Grey Eagle twice and used his Grey Dagger to finish the man off afterwards?

He also wouldn’t have needed to be afraid of the Bronze Beam, for he would’ve had a Level 20 Grey Shield.

The more he thought about it, the more annoyed he became.

"System, why hadn’t you told me all this information?"

The system remained silent, but it noted to always inform new Evolvers of this in the future.

Following which, Valen used his privilege to create a totally different account on his Silver Watch, naming it Black Ice. However, he soon discovered that the name had already been taken. He tried several other names, only to receive the same result.

He wanted to name it Silver King, but quickly dismissed the idea. Who knew if there were others who had heard of the Silver Legion? Although Valen believed the Silver Legion originated from the Astral Veil based on the Silver King’s Memories, he still had to remain cautious.

Thus, he chose Black King instead. Unfortunately, that too had already been taken. Just as he was about to give up, a thought suddenly surfaced in his mind. Smiling faintly, he typed: Abyssal King.

Thankfully, that name wasn’t taken. Just as he finished the last of his juice and prepared to pay the bill before heading to the System Store to claim his Inventory Ring, his Silver Watch buzzed as a message entered his inbox.

Tapping on his Silver Watch, he went straight to his inbox. A new message had arrived, and it was from the White River Energised Chamber, instantly giving him a bad feeling.
