"Ahem. Well, you two should head back first," Lin Kuang said, a smile in his eyes.

At his words, Xu Yingying and Yao Wenwen both rolled their eyes at him. It was a useless thing to say. Suppressing her embarrassment, Xu Yingying motioned for Yao Wenwen to drive off. Watching them leave, Lin Kuang’s mood began to improve.

"Good. Where is the information?" Hearing this, Lin Kuang’s mood lifted instantly. If I can get control of the Chu Family, there might be some unexpected discoveries.

"Are you at home? If so, I’ll have someone deliver the documents to you right away," Li Rui promptly offered.

"Yes, I’m at home," Lin Kuang confirmed.

"No problem at all. I’m waiting for something myself, which should be here in about half an hour," Lin Kuang replied with a smile.

"Alright, then we’ll wait," Tang Yu responded cheerfully.

Lin Kuang nodded and led them into a room. The five of them smoked and chatted, reminiscing about funny stories from their time in the Wolf Special Forces. They laughed heartily, clearly enjoying themselves immensely.

About twenty minutes later, the revving of an engine sounded outside again. A black Audi had pulled up to the gate.

"Brother Tang, you guys wait here a moment. I’m going to grab something. I’ll be right back," Lin Kuang said with a smile before turning and leaving the room.

A man carrying a briefcase stepped out of the Audi at the gate. Spotting Lin Kuang, he studied him for a moment to confirm his identity before hurrying over.

"Mr. Lin, hello. Here are the documents you requested." The man bowed slightly and handed the briefcase to Lin Kuang.

Lin Kuang smiled and took it. "Thank you. Please pass my thanks to Mr. Li when you get back."

"Yes, Mr. Lin. I’ll take my leave now," the man said.

Lin Kuang nodded, and the man departed respectfully. Watching him leave, Lin Kuang returned to the room.

"Brother Tang, everyone, we can go now," Lin Kuang announced with a smile.

Tang Yu nodded, and the group of five drove off.

They didn’t go to a luxurious restaurant but instead headed to the food stalls on Yanjing’s snack street.

"It’s been a long time since I’ve been here," Lin Kuang said with a touch of nostalgia as he surveyed the surroundings. This used to be their favorite spot. Drinking cold beer and eating grilled skewers—the feeling was just incredible.

"Yeah, since you left, we’ve hardly come here either. Tonight, we don’t go home sober!" Tang Yu declared with a hearty laugh.

Lin Kuang, Yi Feng, and the others all roared in agreement.

They found a table, ordered some food, and ate while they talked. All five of them could hold their liquor well. Nobody kept track of how much they drank, continuing late into the night before finally calling it quits. They were all staggering, their faces flushed red. They had all overdone it.

In reality, they could have used the True Qi within their bodies to expel the alcohol. However, they chose not to; otherwise, the drinking wouldn’t have been any fun.

When the night ended, Tang Yu and the others found a nearby hotel to stay in, while Lin Kuang took a taxi to the Chu Family’s traditional courtyard. "Stop! Who goes there?!" Two guards immediately moved to block his path.

"Inform Chu Xiong that Lin Kuang of the Lin Family is here for a visit!" Lin Kuang said calmly. Chu Xiong was Chu Zhongtian’s father and the current Family Head of the Chu Family.

The two guards were taken aback by his words. Then, one of them asked cautiously, "You... you’re the grandson of the Lin Family’s old master, Lin Kuang?"

"That’s right. I am," Lin Kuang replied coolly.

His words startled them. They didn’t understand the intricacies of politics, but they were well aware of the bad blood between the Chu and Lin families. Lin Kuang’s sudden visit made them uneasy. "Young—Young Master Lin, please wait a moment. I’ll go and notify them immediately," one of the guards stammered before hurrying into the courtyard.

Lin Kuang stood calmly at the entrance, waiting. He was in no hurry; he had plenty of time.

Nearly five minutes later, the guard ran back out.

"Young Master Lin, the Chief invites you inside," the guard said with great respect.

Hearing this, Lin Kuang nodded. "Lead the way."
