Unrivaled Soldier in the City
Chapter 634: On Pegasus Mountain
"My Guo’er is so smart. You’re amazing," Lin Kuang said with a smile.
Hearing this, Lin Guo’er rolled her eyes at him. "Cut the crap. Who doesn’t know your little schemes?"
"Ahem, so what if you know? You still can’t escape tonight!" Lin Kuang said with a grin. He then carried Lin Guo’er to the bed, flicked off the light, and as for what happened next... everyone knew.
It wasn’t until four in the morning that an exhausted Lin Guo’er finally fell asleep. Lin Kuang, on the other hand, was full of energy.
After a quick shower, Lin Kuang went downstairs.
The place was a total mess. Wine bottles and cake were strewn everywhere, and several women were snoring away on the couch.
What a headache. I still have to clean up, Lin Kuang muttered to himself as he entered the main hall.
The next moment, his palms danced as powerful True Qi surged from within him. Instantly, the True Qi filled the hall. Under Lin Kuang’s control, the powerful True Qi lifted the wine bottles, cake crumbs, cream, and everything else from the floor, leaving not a single trace behind.
With a wave of his hands, all the floating debris in the hall converged into a single mass. Under the influence of his True Qi, the garbage was compacted into a ball, which Lin Kuang carried out to the trash bin outside the villa.
By the time he returned, the hall was spotless. Lin Kuang nodded in satisfaction.
"Not bad. The effect is quite good," Lin Kuang said with a smile.
If those Ancient Warriors knew that I was using powerful True Qi for housekeeping, they would probably cough up blood from sheer frustration. After all, what a waste!
However, I don’t care. That’s just how these things are. If you can use it, use it. If you can’t, it’s nothing more than a decoration, right?
Looking at the clean hall, Lin Kuang went to the second floor and cleaned the slightly dirty floor there as well.
By the time he finished, it was already five in the morning. He went out to the manor’s courtyard and began to practice Tai Chi Chuan, facing the rising sun.
Just as he was getting into his practice, the phone in his pocket rang.
Hearing it, Lin Kuang stopped his movements, took out his phone, and saw that the caller was Yang Wucheng. Lin Kuang raised an eyebrow. A call from Yang Wucheng at this hour clearly meant he was being summoned.
"Hello, Uncle Yang," Lin Kuang said.
"Lin Kuang, come over. Remember to bring Britney. The Dragon Front team is ready to depart," Yang Wucheng said.
Hearing this, Lin Kuang agreed and hung up.
Returning to the villa, Lin Kuang found Britney. He quickly told Mu Wan where he was going, and then left with Britney without delay.
The two of them sped off in the car toward the East Sea Military Region. It took him less than twenty minutes to arrive, having driven at more than double his usual speed.
With Britney in tow, they went straight to the conference room.
Yang Wucheng, Chen Anhun, and the members of Dragon Front were all in the conference room. Today, however, there was an additional middle-aged man. Lin Kuang had a strong impression of him. He had seen the Dragon Front members’ profiles before, and this man’s photo exuded such a powerful aura that Lin Kuang had mentally taken note of him.
This person’s name was Gu Feng, and he was formidable.
Seeing Lin Kuang and Britney arrive, Chen Anhun said with a smile, "Alright, now that everyone is here, let’s go have breakfast. After we eat, we’ll leave for Pegasus Mountain."
Everyone nodded and left the meeting room, heading for the cafeteria.
A few moments later, they arrived at the cafeteria, where breakfast was already prepared: steamed meat buns, rice porridge, and pickled vegetables.
As they ate, Chen Anhun introduced Lin Kuang to the others. In truth, the members of Dragon Front already knew each other by name; some just hadn’t met in person yet, such as Lin Kuang.
Thanks to Chen Anhun’s introductions, the group started chatting while they ate, gradually becoming more familiar with one another. Only Gu Feng remained quiet and impassive, not saying much.
Seemingly worried Lin Kuang might misunderstand, Wei Zhong leaned in to explain, "Lin Kuang, don’t mind him. Brother Gu may seem cold on the outside, but he’s warm on the inside and treats us very well. He’s just usually like this."
Lin Kuang smiled faintly. "No worries, Brother Wei. We’re all family here. It’s fine."
"Yeah, that’s right. We’re all one family," Wei Zhong said with a smile.
They continued their breakfast, and ten minutes later, they headed to the training grounds where a helicopter was already waiting.
"Let’s go, everyone," Chen Anhun said with a smile.
Lin Kuang and the others nodded and boarded the helicopter.
"Commander Yang, we’re taking off. I’m leaving this place in your hands. If anything happens, remember to notify me immediately," Chen Anhun said, looking at Yang Wucheng.
"Take care, Deputy Captain Chen. If anything comes up, I’ll notify you right away," Yang Wucheng replied with a smile.
Chen Anhun gave a military salute, which Yang Wucheng returned, and the two exchanged a final nod.
Once Chen Anhun was on board, the helicopter’s rotors spun to life with a roar. The aircraft swiftly lifted off, ascending toward the sky and heading in the direction of Pegasus Mountain.
Pegasus Mountain was not far from the East Sea Military Region, just over fifty kilometers away, so the helicopter ride was naturally quick.
In just ten minutes, they arrived in the airspace above the mountain.
"Reporting, we have reached Pegasus Mountain," the pilot announced.
"Good. Hover over the mountaintop. We’ll start our search from the top down," Chen Anhun said calmly.
The pilot acknowledged and maneuvered the helicopter over the summit of Pegasus Mountain.
The cabin door opened. The helicopter was still more than ten meters above the ground, but the members of Dragon Front didn’t need ropes; they simply jumped.
In the end, only Lin Kuang and Britney were left. "Shall we go down, too? Do you want me to hold you?" Lin Kuang couldn’t resist asking with a smile.
"No need! Don’t underestimate me. I’ll go first."
With that, Britney leaped from the helicopter. A pair of small, pure white wings appeared on her back. They opened slightly, allowing her to glide down and land effortlessly on the ground.
Seeing this, Lin Kuang was utterly astonished. Vampires have wings? And they’re white?
With that thought, he jumped from the helicopter, landing lightly beside Britney.
"Tell me," Lin Kuang asked, his curiosity piqued, "are you an Angel or a Vampire?"
"Of course, I’m a Vampire! It’s because my wings are white that I’m called the Saintess, dummy!" Britney retorted, rolling her eyes at him.
