Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme
Chapter 1864 - 1834: Big Shot
Please enter the main text. Star Sky Alliance.
Vast beyond measure, the area here was equivalent to hundreds of Star Domains.
And in the deepest part of the Star Sky Alliance, there stood proudly in the Void a single palace whose volume was equivalent to several Earths combined. The black palace was like a ferocious giant beast crouching upon the Star Sea, with visible Law ripples surging around it, rolling out like the tide.
Even a World King Level expert attempting to force their way in would be directly obliterated by these Law ripples.
Suddenly.
Three separate locations in this Void twisted at once, and three figures walked out from within, standing amid the wave-like tides of Laws, actually completely unharmed, and even seeming to rather enjoy it.
Of these three, two were white-haired, white-bearded old men, with an immortal bearing and the bones of a Taoist, yet not the slightest energy fluctuation could be sensed from them. Set in the mountains and wilds, they would be as ordinary as the most common herb-picking farmers.
The other was a plain-clothed woman, looking like a middle-aged matron, her features dignified and steady, likewise without the slightest aura fluctuation. For women, no matter how powerful, they would use Mana to maintain their appearance and age; as for her true age, most people would likely be unable to even guess.
"I wonder why the Alliance Hierarch suddenly summoned us?"
"The Demon Clan hasn’t made any major moves recently, why would he suddenly call us back?"
"You two old codgers, stop discussing it here. Let’s go in and see what matter the Alliance Hierarch has." The dignified, steady woman said softly.
The three figures vanished abruptly, and when they appeared again, they were already inside that colossal and magnificent palace.
Within the palace, a black-robed middle-aged man stood at the front. Seeing the three arrive, his firm face showed a faint smile. "Xue Gong, Jiuqu, Xia Ling."
"Alliance Hierarch."
Seeing this middle-aged man, the three all spoke with extreme respect.
Those three were already unfathomably deep, yet standing before this middle-aged man, they were like children. The middle-aged man looked at the three, smiled, and said, "This time summoning you three back, no great matter has occurred. There is merely one person I would like you to look at."
"One person?" Xue Gong was surprised.
"Just for one person, you summoned all three of us back?" Jiuqu was astonished as well.
Xia Ling, the middle-aged matron, instead smiled and said, "I wonder who this person is, that could make the Alliance Hierarch personally summon the three of us back?"
"He’s someone who walked out from an End of Dharma Planet. That End of Dharma Planet was also the last place teacher went." The middle-aged man said calmly, yet within his voice there was a trace of sighing and lament.
"A planet that Emperor Shang once visited?" The three were once again slightly surprised.
The four standing within this palace were the most supreme figures of the entire Star Sky Alliance, and also the Peak experts of the whole Human Clan.
"Mm, this kid is quite good, he might be teacher’s disciple." The middle-aged man uttered words that would make the dead leap from their coffins, and once again said faintly.
The three Saints, who were held in extreme reverence within the Star Sky Alliance, all had their expressions turn stiff.
The middle-aged man did not continue speaking. He casually waved his hand, and a phantom image appeared in midair above the great hall. In it, within a Space suffused with multicolored radiance, a black-haired, black-eyed youth sat cross-legged in the Void. His spiritual power spread out like a tide as he silently sensed the Law information filling every corner.
In the palace, each of the four present was a Big Shot who could shake the entire Star Sky Alliance with a stomp of their foot. Without exception, they focused all of their gazes upon the youth within the light-and-shadow image.
"Oh, he just broke through to Star Domain Level Early Stage?"
"But the explosive power of the True Yuan contained in his body is already enough to rival World Level."
"He is indeed a good seedling."
The three Saints all spoke softly. Of course, in their endlessly long years, geniuses like Lin Mo were not lacking. Even monstrous evildoers like Guya had appeared many times over those countless ages; it was just that the interval between each one walking out was very long. At the very least, within ten million years, two such defiant monsters would not appear at the same time.
But this alone was not enough for the Alliance Hierarch to summon the three of them back.
At least, Lin Mo did not yet have that qualification.
"Just watch quietly." The middle-aged man’s jet-black hair draped over his shoulders, his pair of black pupils merely gazing silently at the phantom image before him. There was not much expression on his face, yet within his eyes there seemed to be some indescribably subtle excitement.
Within the Law Tower, even though Lin Mo’s spiritual power had fully spread out, there was still a tremendous gap between him and the level where he could sense being peeped on by Big Shots. At the very least, he currently had no idea that four Big Shots of the Star Sky Alliance were watching him.
"The Law Tower is filled with Principle Treasures excavated from various Star Domains. I’ve sensed metal, wood, water, fire, earth, and even Thunder. But why are there no traces of Time Law and Space Law?"
Lin Mo furrowed his Sword Eyebrow. Time and Space Law belonged to the Supreme Law. Take those two Realm Kings as an example: they had already comprehended some Space Law and could tear Space to Instant Teleportation.
"My Heart Realm takes the heart as its standard, following my heart’s will."
Lin Mo closed his eyes, quietly comprehending the various Laws filling the surroundings and this small piece of heaven and earth.
Comprehending Laws was not easy!
Having the fortune to encounter Treasure that could be used to comprehend Laws—including the painstaking inheritances left behind by some experts, as well as Law Fragments birthed by the self-evolution of the cosmos, and rare, precious Treasures—that was the first aspect. The key lay in the word "comprehend."
For example, if one obtained a Supreme Secret Manual but could not glean its profundities, it would be all for naught.
Lin Mo was like an old monk in meditation, sitting cross-legged in midair, motionless.
From time to time, Flames suddenly soared around him, with flaming flood dragons and pythons coiling and soaring; golden light erupted, evolving the rise and fall of planets; a single drop of water demonstrated inexhaustible transformations of life; Thunder crashed down with world-shattering might, sweeping away all obstacles...
All kinds of strange scenes changed around him, while Lin Mo sat as steady as a fishing platform, quietly comprehending.
In the palace, the faces of the three Saints finally showed some change. It could not be called shock, but their eyes did indeed light up.
"You three must have seen it as well. Realm is a very hard thing to define!" The middle-aged man sighed. "He has already opened the Heavenly Sect. This kind of Heart-following Realm is something even some Realm Kings cannot achieve. His future accomplishments are hard to say."
The three Saints were thoughtful, yet did not follow up. After all, Lin Mo was still very "insignificant" at present. The peerless geniuses they had seen were as numerous as carp crossing a river; those who ultimately achieved something and were remembered by the starry cosmos numbered only a scant few.
"Alliance Hierarch, do you truly think highly of this little fellow?" The matron could not help but ask.
The middle-aged man said, "It’s hard to say I think highly of him, but he had the fortune to obtain some of teacher’s inheritance, which shows that teacher valued him greatly. Yet if we help him now, it would be nothing but pulling up seedlings to help them grow. Opportunity is one part of it, but more than that, he must rely on himself."
The three all nodded slightly. Opportunity was important, but to grow into a true expert, one’s own effort was the most crucial component.
