After the meal in the restaurant, the group of people decided to return to the Guild Building, where Valerian collected the ten tasks at a time. A lot of people had come to witness the scene. It was not every day that someone would accept ten tasks simultaneously.

While handing Valerian the papers, Prim said, "I do not know why you want to take on so many tasks simultaneously, but I do not have the right to stop you either. These ten tasks must be completed within a week, or they will be declared failed."

Valerian nodded and said, "Thank you, Miss Prim."

The group did not waste any time and headed to the dungeon. The guard was also different, so the group did not face much scrutiny. Once inside, the young man asked, "Can you all tell me where can we find all these things?"

Shiba nodded and said, "But before we move, we have to create a new formation. It can be dangerous to move around as we please."

Valerian sighed and said, "You should not think so much, I will run in the front, and you all should guide me verbally."

Shiba was surprised, and Valerian said, "If you can catch me, I will fall into the formation."

Viney replied, "I am up. Let’s go, and I will lead you."

Valerian nodded, and the two of them rushed through the dark caves. Shiba and Captian had no option left but to follow the two kids. However, the danger did not strike them as hard as they thought.

Shiba could not understand what was happening when Valerian said, "The slowly and cautiously you move, the more time the creatures of the dark have to attack you. Move quickly but silently, and they are confused about whether to attack. What if we are running from something stronger than them."

The girl nodded in understanding, and soon they came to their first destination and found a big minotaur moving around with a battle ax in his hands. Valerian was surprised and came to a stop.

Shiba asked, "What happened?"

Valerian shook his head, but with a weird face, he said, "This is a bizarre coincidence, but in my world, there is a similar race. They are called warlocks. Well, they are similar to these minotaurs, but they are not war hungry."

Captain said, "Well, if this thing were as pleasant as the one you know, it would not have been placed here."

Valerian nodded and said, "That is also a fact."

Captain wanted to talk more, but Valerian rushed out with a dagger. The young man was too fast. The Minotaur sensed his existence and turned around directly while swinging the battle ax. However, Valerian was not going to take the attack. He leaned back and slid on his buttock. The momentum took the young man forward, and he slashed the ankle tendon of the beast cleanly.

Shiba opened her eyes wide because the next moment, she saw the Minotaur wailing as it fell to its knees. Valerian did not go easy, and with a quick jump, he landed on the neck of the beast. The beast shook its head wildly and tried to get a hold of Valerian, but the latter was quick and stabbed the dagger through the ear of the beast.

The beast wailed, and the beady black eyes gradually lost luster as life seeped from its body. Valerian jumped off the beast’s neck swiftly and landed on the ground. The young man turned his head to look to the side and found that the three people were gawking at him. He asked, "What happened?"

Viney reacted and came before him. She bowed and said, "I surrender to you, Master. Please teach me."

Valerian was amused and laughed. He said, "You exaggerate."

Captain walked closer and asked, "Are you just a rookie?"

Valerian nodded and said, "I am a rookie. Why do you ask?"

Shiba said, "You took down a Minotaur in just two moves; that is not something a rookie can do?"

Valerian said, "Oh that, you see, the bigger the creature, the more weight their joints handle. So the tendon of the joints is the weaker point. Is that not obvious to target the joints?"

Shiba and the rest understood the logic. They had never thought such a logic could be applied, but this was very plausible after thinking over it. Valerian picked up the horns left behind by the minotaur and said, "Shall we move ahead?"

The team understood that this guy was a monster, and they nodded. The team covered almost all ten points in one day, and when they were heading back, they heard a few cries for help from the adjacent vent.

Shiba narrowed her eyes and said, "What to do?"

Valerian said, "Is it not obvious to help?"

Viney shook her head and replied, "Master, you might not know, but often some wicked people lure parties into situations and then loot them."

Valerian raised his brows and asked, "This is still possible? Humans against humans, is that not too much?"

Captain said, "They are always more concerned about personal gains. Until and unless people suffer from something bad, they will not correct their ways and continue to be rampant."

Valerian nodded and then thought about how the people of Vita were the same. He took out his weapon and said, "I will follow your command, team leader."

He was willing to step back for two reasons, "One, he was not from this world and did not have a deep understanding of the people here. Two, he did not wish to kill any innocent person."

Shiba said, "Let us check from a distance, Viney and Captain, you two guard the rear. If this is an ambush, you warn us, and if the situation is genuine, I will call for you."

The two nodded and stood back while Valerian entered the cavern with Shiba. His actions were calm and composed. Shiba said nothing to him, and they carefully crossed the passage. They saw a group of youngsters fighting against a horde of goblins inside the cavern.

They looked at each other, and Shiba said, "We should help them."

Valerian did not say anything and vanished from his spot. Shiba also did not hesitate. One held the sword, while the other held a knife. Goblins never fought with tactics. They raided people, and they used numbers.

Valerian did not mind slaughtering these creatures. His battle lust was raging very much these past few days. When he entered the horde with two daggers in his hands. The horde suffered damage, and they changed their focus. They all moved forward to attack Valerian and Shiba.

The youngsters finally sighed in relief and quickly decided to run away. Shiba had expected them to react like this and let out a whistle. The whistle was sharp and grating. From the cavern, Captain and Viney rushed in. The two people were quick to aid, but their help was mostly dedicated to Shiba.

Valerian was too overpowering. The goblins did not seem to hold any threat to him. His legs, arms, and mouth seemed to have turned into weapons. Everywhere he moved, he left blood and corpses behind. His actions surprised Viney and Captian. Even if they were three people, dealing with hundreds of goblins simultaneously was still a hassle.

It took them two hours to finish dealing with the horde of hundred beasts. The four of them were lying on the ground silently. They had no energy to continue and decided to take a rest.

Just when they thought the struggle was over, the youngsters returned. They all were cautious and looked at the situation from the opening in the cavern. Valerian suddenly stood up and asked loudly, "Forgot anything?"

The group of youngsters shivered. One young man gulped and stepped forward. He said, "We just wanted to offer you thanks."

Valerian shook his head and said, "You do not need to thank us. Just leave, and we will collect the spoils."

The young man wanted to say yes and leave, but one burly youth behind him said, "Sir, can we take two dozen drops? This is our first mission. If we fail, Lady Prim will grill us."

Valerian heard this and said, "You can take from the spots furthest to me. Do you understand what I mean?"

The group nodded and they moved to pick up the twelve drops before leaving. Shiba sighed with ease and said, "Valerian, rest. We will not last if we are exhausted."

The young man nodded and sat down. He was calm and said, "The danger is not those creatures, but those people who seek treasures in danger. They are willing to go to any lengths for these treasures."

Shiba and the rest nodded. They knew about these things before anyone else. Valerian was new to the dungeons, but since he knew all this already, it was a good thing for them.
