Valerian watched the egg glowing, and his eyes narrowed. He moved closer to the victims and inspected the wound. He then took his knife and stabbed it through the brain of the hosts.

Viney could not help but shout, "Val! Stop! What are you doing?"

Valerian replied, "The hosts are dead. Their hearts have been pumping blood to feed these eggs. Do you understand what will happen if we do not care for this right now?"

Viney said, "I understand, but is there any other way to deal with it?"

Valerian shook his head and stabbed the other host too. He said, "In the future, women should not be allowed to step on the thirty-fifth floor, and this place should be constantly guarded. The creature spawning here will be the initial form of the mutant. It should be sought and killed immediately."

Shiba did not say anything, but the rest kept nodding. Valerian asked, "Are you angry that I threatened to kill you twice?"

The lady replied sarcastically, "How intelligent of you?"

Valerian said, "I have been carrying many things in my heart, and I wish to return home as soon as possible. Three years, and now even their faces have become hazy in my memories.

I tried to hide it and control my emotions. But not anymore. My temper flares as time passes, and I get desperate with every breath. If I find anyone standing between me and my goals, I feel this anger in my heart like destroying that obstacle.

No matter how angry you feel, I will never apologize for this. There are people I long for, and I will do anything to get to them."

Valerian expressed what was happening inside his heart and did it with as much conviction as the others could handle. After that, the young man did not say much and began looking at the scene again. After careful inspection, he found a small needle on the ground.

The young man gazed directly at the needle’s surface and found it intricately carved with some pattern. Valerian did not know what it was for, but this needle was not a sewing needle.

After cleaning up and ensuring the hosts were dead and posed no more danger, Valerian and Captain carried them to the thirty-fourth floor.

Prim was waiting for them. When the people arrived, Shiba told them how Valerian killed the Chimera alone and tried to save the two hosts, but it was too late.

...

Word spread, Valerian was again highlighted by the Dungeoneers present at the scene when he came out with the corpse of the fallen comrade. The people did not talk about it, but they all secretly dubbed the young man the undefeated dungeon Champion.

Not that Valerian cared, he began to venture onto the deeper floors. It was taking him months and weeks to clear the floors. The number of creatures was just too much. He did not rely on any unconventional method like pyrotechnics. They were useless.

The creatures seemed to vanish only when they were killed fairly, or they will just keep on spawning immediately. Valerian did not waste time. He and his team were living in the dungeons now.

They had their food collected inside the dungeon thanks to the portal. Valerian would also record everything he saw during his battles and relay it to Prim. The detailed accounts of the dungeon he provided have been a great help to the rest of the Dungeoneers.

After three months of constant fighting, they got through the seventy-third floor and a year to reach the eightieth floor. The struggle was real. Imagine a horde of hungry tigers charging you and your weapons and equipment, failing to keep up.

Your fists become the only hope of your survival. No wonder no one reached this level in such a long time. None of the people had the strength to fight these beasts. It was not that these creatures were special, but the sheer number was enough to keep things at bay.

Another thing that bothered them a lot was the level of intelligence these creatures had. Even if Valerian had the strength of two elephants, he could not fight them constantly. Could he? They were outnumbered by twenty to one.

Valerian could fight somehow, but what about the rest of his team? They will be unable to handle the constant stress on their bodies and mind. If they were to continue, the situation would turn bad.

After clearing the eightieth floor, the team decided to take a rest. Valerian considered increasing his efficiency because he would have to spend three more years clearing the rest of the twenty floors at this pace. He did not wish to spend so much time here.

He thought, ’If only Fortuna were here.’

The young man knew he could not do anything, so he sighed and began fighting with utmost concentration and dedication. He did not care if his team was ready or not. Some people would spot him rushing through the dungeon on his rest time.

Thinking about increasing his speed, the young man crafted weapons to take down armies. He designed a repeating bow, all you needed to do was to keep rotating the level on the side, and as long as you had arrows, they will keep loading on the string and fire.

He crafted shields and armor that could not only defend but also damage the enemies, and lastly, he crafted a sword so swift that it could cut metal like mud.

Adler was going crazy, and not only this, but Valerian designed a war chariot that moved with the help of mechanical horses. Adler almost did not let Valerian take these with him. Thankfully his passion was easy to buy, and Valerian handed him the designs.

Valerian had now spent four and a half years in this world, and his longing was not yet calm. After the chariot was bought inside the dungeon, it was announced that this equipment would be used for the eightieth floor or below.

...

The young man did not stop, he charged forward, and the chariot proved a good asset. It reduced the pressure on his mind. His team members were also given a chariot each. The materials he used were too extravagant, and Valerian emptied his coffers for this.

The clash was intense and long-lasting. One day, Shiba said, "What are you thinking about lately?"

Valerian replied, "Home."

Shiba asked, "After such a long time, do you not feel belonging here?"

Valerian shook his head and said, "Home is where the heart is. I was born there, and everything I learned also came from there. My family and friends all of them live there. How can I feel like I belong here when I have so much left behind to go and be with?"

Shiba sighed and said, "I wonder if I can go with you?"

Valerian nodded and said, "You can come along. Who is stopping you?"

Shiba said, "I will not have any abilities like the magic and the battle aura. What will I do there?"

Valerian smiled, gazed at the dark ceiling, and said, "Not everybody has abilities. They have to face a lot of discrimination, so if there are people like you, Captain, and Viney. I might be able to bring them up in the society."

Shiba chuckled and asked, "Maybe we should bring along Lady Prim. She can be the Principal, and we can set up a school."

Valerian nodded and said, "This is a good idea. I support you. We can call it the School Of Mortal Arts."

The two people discussed the topic at great lengths. Time was feeling, and another six months passed. The people outside the world were curious about what Valerian and his team would do inside the Dungeon.

After three months, the dungeon echoed with a bell. The entire city and the entire world froze. The people could not understand what was happening when suddenly, an ethereal voice sounded, "The dungeon has new Champions."

After a momentary shock, the people erupted in cheers. It was the second time since the world has known about the dungeons when champions have emerged. It was said that every time a champion emerged, the dungeon would reset, and for the next ten years, there would be no deaths.

The people will not have to worry about dying now, and they can fight and gather resources to their heart’s content, and the day this perk is lifted, they will slowly sell their fortune and live peacefully.

However, they were celebrating another thing, too. Valerian and his team had reached the last floor.

...

On the last floor of the dungeon, Valerian and his team stood in a white world. They did not see any creatures or even a terrain. They heard an ethereal voice, "Welcome, Champions Of The Dungeon. What do you wish for?"

Valerian asked, "What are the things we can wish for?"

The voice replied, "You can wish for anything, for you are the champions."
