Venerable Demon Chef
Chapter 136 - 134: The Professional Pig Emperor
"What? You two want to jump Mo Qi? Are you serious?! This is wild!"
When Niu Kexin and Liu Ruyan finished explaining the situation, the Pig Emperor shot to his feet, his face alight with excitement and anticipation, practically chomping at the bit.
"I’m not just bragging, but when it comes to knowledge in *that* department, if I’m number two, no one in this world would dare claim to be number one. Come on, come on, lean in close. I’ll give you all the juicy details."
Well...
The Pig Emperor’s demeanor, like some possessed quack, only made Niu Kexin and Liu Ruyan grow more bashful.
Listening to a pig talk about the birds and the bees felt awkward no matter how you sliced it.
"I... I’ll sit this one out. It’s you who’s doing it anyway, Sister Kexin. You go listen," Liu Ruyan said, her face flushing as she turned away.
Niu Kexin was mortified too, but she was far more mature. Besides, this concerned Mo Qi’s future, so she had to take it seriously.
So, she swallowed her reluctance and slowly drew closer to the Pig Emperor.
"Heh heh, Boss, listen closely. First, you do this... and then you do that... after which... and finally..."
Liu Ruyan might have said she didn’t want to listen, but her body was brutally honest.
The moment the Pig Emperor began his lecture, she immediately perked up her ears, circulated her True Essence, and even unleashed her Spiritual Power to its fullest, catching every single word.
When the Pig Emperor was done, Niu Kexin and Liu Ruyan reacted in perfect unison: they clamped their hands over their mouths, eyes wide as saucers.
"Right, Piggy, is there a way to do this without Little Brother Mo knowing?"
"Huh?" The Pig Emperor thought he had misheard.
’They’re about to do *that*, and they want the main character of this whole affair, Mo Qi, to be in the dark?’
"Are you sure you want Mo Qi to just cluelessly lose his virginity? A man’s first time is important! It’s the most unforgettable experience of his life! It’s—"
"Cut the crap! Just tell us if there’s a way or not!" Niu Kexin, mortified, couldn’t stand another second of the Pig Emperor’s rambling and cut him off.
"There is! Of course there is!"
The Pig Emperor let out a strange cackle and produced a small red flower from who-knows-where.
"Based on your request, Boss, knocking Mo the kid out is the best option. But with his unique constitution, ordinary sedatives won’t work. This flower, however, is a treasure I’ve cherished for years. If you hadn’t asked for it, Boss, I’d never have parted with it."
Niu Kexin took the small red flower and asked, "How do I use it?"
"Simple," the Pig Emperor said. "Put it in his bath!"
...
In the past few days, a joyous atmosphere had enveloped the entire Void Sect.
This was especially true for the disciples and Elders who had tried Mo Qi’s Medicinal Cuisine; all of them had achieved their desired results.
Mo Qi had also made significant gains during this period.
First, he had a major breakthrough in his Sword Skill. While not yet perfect, he could now integrate his culinary arts, transforming his blade into a deadly weapon.
Next were the innovations in his Medicinal Cuisine. The initial black pellets had evolved into colorful, multi-flavored ones.
He could even cook a single ingredient to produce different flavors, or use different ingredients to create the same flavor.
He was even considering whether he should develop other convenient forms of his cuisine besides pellets.
Through this process, his understanding of Spirit Medicine was no longer confined to the guidance of the Chaos Scripture.
He started incorporating his own ideas, focusing on medicinal effects to sketch out a unique menu in his mind.
Everything seemed to be moving in the right direction, except for his progress with the Nine Transformations into Spirit.
’Lately, the Pig Emperor keeps sneaking off and acting all mysterious. Maybe it’s just my imagination, but I get the feeling he looks at me with pity.’
The sun set, and after closing the restaurant, Mo Qi picked up his kitchen knife, preparing to practice his Sword Technique as usual.
Just then, Niu Kexin approached him, her face grim.
"Come with me."
Her tone was firm and allowed no room for argument.
With that, she turned and walked into her room, leaving a baffled Mo Qi completely lost.
It was the first time he had heard Niu Kexin speak to him in such a tone.
’What’s gotten into Sister Kexin?’
Mo Qi put away his kitchen knife and followed her into her room.
The first thing he saw was a large, steaming bathtub, half-filled with hot water.
"Strip!"
Niu Kexin commanded, pointing at the tub. Her voice was crisp and direct.
"What?" Mo Qi couldn’t process it for a second.
’What is this? What’s the play here?’
"Get in the bath!" Niu Kexin’s brow furrowed, her voice turning icy.
"I... Sister Kexin... This is..." Mo Qi was completely baffled by her actions.
’Why did she suddenly call me over to take a bath?’
’There was no reason! No warning! No logic!’
"What do you mean, ’this is...’? Are you going to disobey your big sister now?" Niu Kexin asked, looking annoyed as she glared at Mo Qi.
Mo Qi shrank back, unsure of what Niu Kexin was up to. He could only whisper in explanation, "If I take a bath here... while you’re also here, Sister Kexin... isn’t that a little inappropriate?"
"What’s so inappropriate? What, you’re getting shy?" Niu Kexin shot Mo Qi a sidelong glance. "When you were a kid and fell into a mud pit, who do you think gave you your bath?"
"That’s different! We’re adults now," Mo Qi said, breaking out in a cold sweat. ’Oh, my dear sister, please don’t bring up embarrassing childhood stories.’
Niu Kexin wasn’t having it. "So what if we’re adults? Not too long ago, didn’t you see me completely naked?"
"Uh... that was a special circumstance..."
"Cut the crap! Are you going to get in or not!" Niu Kexin suddenly bellowed, giving Mo Qi a huge fright.
"Fine, fine, fine! I’ll get in!"
Mo Qi had no idea what Niu Kexin was planning, but he could tell she wouldn’t back down unless he got in that tub today.
"Um... Sister Kexin, could you please turn around? I’m going to take my clothes off." Even someone as thick-skinned as Mo Qi was feeling the heat.
"Tch! It’s not like I haven’t seen it before. Who’d want to look!" Niu Kexin scoffed, turning her back.
What Mo Qi didn’t know was that the moment Niu Kexin turned away, her previously icy face instantly flushed crimson all the way to her neck.
’This is so humiliating! That damn Piggy and his terrible ideas! I almost lost my composure and gave the whole thing away!’
Behind her came the RUSTLE of clothes being removed, followed by a loud SPLASH as he entered the water.
"Okay, I’m in."
Niu Kexin took a deep breath to compose herself. When she turned back around, she was greeted by a sight that was both hilarious and exasperating.
Mo Qi had his arms crossed over his chest and his legs drawn up, huddled in a corner of the tub. He looked for all the world like a timid, browbeaten newlywed.
’Seriously... I’m the girl here and I haven’t said a thing. What’s a grown man like you got to be so shy about?’
Niu Kexin simply couldn’t reconcile the hero who had pummeled Fang Min and nearly killed Zhang Shao in the main peak’s great hall with the Mo Qi cowering before her now.
"Pfft~"
Niu Kexin couldn’t help but let out a laugh. The sound seemed to break her own shyness, and she suddenly felt much more at ease.
