Venerable Demon Chef
Chapter 315 - 312: Wreaking Havoc
Just as Huangfu Yu had predicted, as long as he didn’t cross the Mountain and Sea Empire’s bottom line, they wouldn’t make a move against him.
The casualties and damage within the Imperial City were clearly not enough to be considered their bottom line.
"Emperor? His people? Heh!"
Watching Li Shimu get held back by three elders, Huangfu Yu sneered and flew toward the Imperial Academy with Huangfu Jun.
The rest of the people from the Hall of Envoys, including three cloaked figures, remained on the Flying Magical Artifact.
This was obviously part of Huangfu Yu’s plan. He was blatantly telling the Mountain and Sea Empire, ’Even if I don’t bring a single guard, you still wouldn’t dare harm me!’
’In fact, if I were to run into any trouble, you would be the ones sending people to protect me!’
’If something were to happen to me, Huangfu Yu, within your Mountain and Sea Empire for no reason, could you bear the consequences?’
’Do you have the guts to face the wrath of the Hall of Envoys?’
"Damn it!" Li Shimu naturally saw that Huangfu Yu was humiliating them.
He had previously thought that, being blessed by fate and possessing Immortal Level Combat Power, he would make the Hall of Envoys at least somewhat wary.
Yet, Huangfu Yu alone had shattered all his plans and confidence.
’Just how terrifying must the true power of the Hall of Envoys be!’
"Mo’er, be patient. Haven’t you already contacted that family? As long as we can reach an agreement, even the Huangfu Family won’t be able to touch us!" an elder comforted him via telepathic message.
Li Shimu sighed. "It’s not set in stone yet. They said they want to see the Blessed One’s potential and talent for themselves. They’ll only intervene if he meets their expectations."
"Isn’t that perfect? If the Blessed One can defeat those two brats from the Huangfu Family, he won’t just be meeting their expectations—he’ll far exceed them!" The elder’s eyes lit up.
Although Li Shimu had the same thought, he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong.
"Three Grand-Uncles, I will have to trouble you to keep an eye on this group. I am going to observe the battle; I must ensure the Blessed One’s safety."
"Go on. Leave this to us."
...
While Huangfu Yu and his group were wreaking havoc in the Imperial City, Liu Hui and Jin Sanpang were deeply troubled in the Fighting Cultivation Room.
They had all seen Niu Kexin appear on the Flying Magical Artifact with Huangfu Yu and the others.
They had never imagined that their Big Sister would be abducted by such a powerful enemy.
Their hearts screamed to save her, but they lacked the power to do so.
Let alone the Flying Magical Artifact or the hundred-plus experts at or above the Void Realm—they couldn’t even handle the brothers Huangfu Yu and Huangfu Jun by themselves. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
"Brother Mo isn’t awake yet. Dazed Dragon, what do we do?"
Jin Sanpang’s face was a mask of anxiety as he looked at the unresponsive External Incarnation.
Liu Hui’s brows were tightly knitted, his thoughts racing.
After a long moment, his expression firmed. He had made a decision.
"San Pang, it’s our failure that Big Sister is in danger. With the Master away, we have to find a way to get her back!"
Jin Sanpang slapped his own bald head. "But the problem is, how can we possibly rescue Sister Kexin?"
"Leave that to me. San Pang, take the Master’s External Incarnation into the Cultivation Room and watch over it carefully. Don’t wander off, understand?"
Jin Sanpang was still worried. "Dazed Dragon, are you sure you can handle this?"
Liu Hui habitually rolled his eyes at Jin Sanpang, then put on his usual haughty look. "Aside from surpassing the Master, there’s nothing in this world I, Liu Hui, can’t accomplish!"
Jin Sanpang nodded, only half-understanding, then urged earnestly, "Be careful, okay? San Pang will wait for you."
"Get lost!"
The cheesy words gave Liu Hui goosebumps. But even as he felt a warmth spread through his heart, he laughingly cursed and aimed a kick at Jin Sanpang’s rear.
Jin Sanpang picked up Mo Qi’s External Incarnation and shuffled slowly into the Cultivation Room, looking back every few steps.
He didn’t know why, but a sense of unease in his heart grew heavier with each passing moment.
Once Jin Sanpang was inside the Cultivation Room, the smile vanished from Liu Hui’s face.
He walked over to the weakened Qian Duoduo. "Do you have any treasures that can help with Concealing Aura? I need one."
Qian Duoduo gave Liu Hui a long, meaningful look before tossing him his Storage Ring.
This wasn’t the usual piece of junk he wore for show; this was Qian Duoduo’s entire fortune!
The treasures inside were too numerous to count.
"I’m so sorry. This is all I can do to help," Qian Duoduo said, his face etched with regret.
The revived Soul-Draining Mother Spider had grown much more powerful, leaving him increasingly weak. He couldn’t even stand or walk on his own and was forced to lie down all day.
Otherwise, he would have been part of the effort to rescue Niu Kexin without a doubt!
"Don’t apologize. I should be the one thanking you... brother!" Liu Hui gently patted Qian Duoduo’s shoulder.
"Brother Hui!" Nangong Yan couldn’t help but cry out. She knew that once he left, there was more than a ninety percent chance he would not return.
Liu Hui gave Nangong Yan a look filled with deep emotion, then resolutely turned his back.
The bonds of love could not sway him from his convictions.
Nearby, Li Xuemiao’s eyes were red. Though she wasn’t entirely sure what was going on, the atmosphere of the room alone was enough to bring tears to her eyes.
Wu the Old Ghost’s son showed no outward reaction, but he couldn’t hide the astonishment in his eyes.
His interest in Mo Qi, Liu Hui, and Jin Sanpang now went beyond simply finding news of his father.
Of all things in this world, only emotion was truly real—be it friendship, romance, or brotherhood!
Liu Hui put away Qian Duoduo’s Storage Ring. Just as he was about to leave, an immense, suffocating pressure descended from the heavens, feeling like the end of the world.
BOOM!
The deafening roar threw everyone to the ground. Even Liu Hui, who had managed a timely Dragon Transformation, couldn’t escape being slammed into the floor.
Just as they all felt death’s approach, the pressure vanished without a trace, as if it had never existed.
If not for the fact that they were all still sprawled on the ground, their bodies limp and weak, they might have mistaken the entire event for an illusion.
"What’s going on?"
Aghast, Liu Hui struggled to his feet and went outside the Cultivation Room.
And then, the sight that greeted him left him utterly stunned.
As far as the eye could see, the once magnificent Imperial Academy and its bustling streets had been reduced to flat ground.
All that remained were the piercing, miserable cries that filled the air and a thick layer of blood-soaked dust on the ground, telling the tale of what had just happened.
’What kind of devastating power was this?!’
’Unheard of!’
’Liu Hui suddenly realized it was probably a good thing the Master’s true self wasn’t here.’
’Otherwise, given how much he cared for Niu Kexin, he would have charged onto that Flying Magical Artifact without a second thought.’
’And when faced with an enemy capable of such destruction, how could anyone possibly fight back?’
’It wasn’t that Liu Hui doubted Mo Qi’s abilities. Rather, the gap in their Cultivation was so vast that there was simply no comparison!’
Before Liu Hui could even process the scene before him, two figures landed silently in his path.
It was Huangfu Yu and Huangfu Jun!
