Si Xie lazily averted his gaze. The next second, he heard a man’s deep, cool voice, tinged with tenderness.

"You must be tired. Let me carry you back."

"You don’t have to..."

Before she could finish her refusal, the man bent down and lifted her up. It wasn’t a princess carry, but an upright hold, the way one might carry a child.

He used only one arm, yet it seemed effortless, completely natural.

By the time she reacted, she was already sitting on his strong, powerful arm with her own arms wrapped around his neck, lifted a full head above everyone else.

Si Xie sighed in resignation and took off after them, not forgetting to call for the two younger ones to follow.

「Their lodgings were in Area 1 of the base.」

It was a suite with two bedrooms and a large living room, costing 1,000 Star Coins a night.

The accommodations weren’t great, but its main advantage over the Flying Device was that they could take showers.

Originally, Fu Yuan and Ming Ye had planned to have Jiang Yunnuan sleep together with Jun Yao and Si Xie.

So, they figured they’d just put the three of them together in one room, while the two of them would take the other. The two bedrooms would have been perfectly sufficient.

Jun Yao’s original plan, however, was for him to sleep with Jiang Yunnuan and kick the other three out to the living room and the second bedroom.

Unfortunately for them, Jiang Tang and Jiang Wang had now been added to the mix.

And so, both of their perfect plans were completely ruined.

"Jiang Tang will stay in one room with me. As for the five of you, three can sleep in the living room, and two can take the other room."

Si Xie and Jun Yao sighed internally, filled with regret.

They both wanted to sleep with Jiang Yunnuan, but Jiang Tang was a girl, and rooms were limited. They couldn’t very well make her sleep in the living room, could they?

Just then, a powerful arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her into an embrace. Her head came to rest naturally in the crook of his neck.

It was Si Xie.

He held a cherry to her lips and whispered, "Open your mouth."

Smelling the sweet fragrance of the fruit, Jiang Yunnuan obediently opened her mouth and ate it. Pure Energy flowed into her Superpower Crystal Core, and her stamina began to recover rapidly.

When she opened her eyes, she saw Si Xie’s delicate and handsome face. The man’s eyes were downcast, a trace of concern in his gaze.

’This guy is getting more and more thoughtful.’

’How long has it been? He’s gone from being hostile and confrontational to being so incredibly thoughtful.’
