Villain Mating System of the apocalyptic world
Chapter 26: *BALL PARTY 2*
Ghost scanned the hall to see how audible i sounded. As only few displeased reactions echoed from the crowd.
A flicker of irritation crossed his features, quickly masked.
"Let’s talk," he whispered, voice steady and cold. But his arm crossed my shoulder. I shuddered at him.
I glanced at Ava to keep an eye out, as I walked besides him.
"Alex... I’m guessing you’re already aware, but this tower, each and every corner belongs to me."
"And you may be wondering how i acquired this, but it’s definitely not from the little ransom I got for Aubrey..."
"You see.. what you don’t know is that, whatever you think you’ve done or harnessed, I did that a long time ago, while you were still in lala~land dreaming about your perfect life..."
"You will be surprised to know the women in power I work with.."
We walked until the lights got dim, everywhere went quiet and empty. There was no way further.
Suddenly a secret door slid open. Casting a golden inviting glow across the elevator.
’This isn’t the plan, I wasn’t supposed to go anywhere private with him.’ But I was intrigued to know what truly was his plan.
He entered and I followed behind, going up to the highest floors. He continued his story-telling.
"You know Alex... I’m not as lucky as you are, that’s why I envy you.."
"But I also want to guide you.."
"What do you mean?"
"I know you have a lot of questions to ask.." His voice dropped low.
"But I will answer the one that lingers in your mind the most... Yes I’m no different from what Aubrey told you.."
"What!!" My eyes widened, I was surprised even though I expected it. I didn’t want to use my heightened-vision from the start, because I thought it was weird sizing a male figure secretly.
"In as much as I’ve told you the truth, you now have the upper hand to destroy my reputation, because unlike you who now knows about it, Aubrey just felt it was impossible for me to survive, unlike the way you did... Reasons why she hasn’t dragged my name out to the mud..."
"And that is why I choose to keep my identity hidden under this mask.."
I was still left stunned as to why he was telling me all this, being so open to me about his secrets.
"I know the kind of person you are Alex.. you’re a good guy, in as much as I wronged you in the past... I watched you from the shadows, that’s why I’m open to share this with you.."
I sly grin inched on my lips, slowly turned into a loud laugh.
"What makes you think I’m still the same person, the world has changed Ghost, so did I.."
The elevator stopped and opened.
Two ladies came out of a room right infront, and welcomed Ghost. And I immediately recognized who they were from the first encounter i had with the redline group.
The mayhem sisters. Two sexy notorious looking Emo b*tches. Vanessa, a pale girl, blue hair with a tatted up sleeve on her arm, with a muscular but feminine shaped body.
While Harlequin is just a perfect example of a free phsycopath, her malicious eyes and the ear to ear smile on her face, gives it off easily.
They seem to be Ghost loyalists.
Right about stepping out of the elevator, Harlequin suddenly wrapped her arms around my waist, her head rested against my chest.
I stared speechless, cause all of a sudden the terrible things I imagined these people to be weren’t so visible the closer I got to them.
"Hello Alex... nice to meet you." She giggled softly.
"Why did you bring me here Ghost?" My voice went cold, back-straight, head up high, didn’t flinch my eyes. No form of vulnerability shown.
He hesitated. "Just come with me, there’s still a lot more to show you.."
"I’m not going any further if you’re not going to tell me now.."
Ghost came closer to my ear, and whispered. "Relax..Alexander, I want us to handle this in the best way possible.."
"I know you still love Aubrey, and i have the best ways to make you still remain loyal to her, even though you’re seed is acquired by every woman on earth.."
"Is that what this is about? Your mating system? To be your lab rat?"
"You will still have your royalties Alex.. you don’t have to make it such a big deal.."
He slightly opened the door and said "So can we go in now?"
I took a brief moment staring down at them, knowing at the back of my mind something didn’t seem right. I walked past them into the chamber.
My gaze laid firstly on the wide white dress table, with women of power, all assigned to their seats, all their faces covered with masks.
As I walked through, I noticed a familiar hair color amongst all of them that were seated.
My eyes narrowed, as I scanned through my memories, to know who had such hair. I got closer and I could immediately tell when I saw her eyes glance at me.
’President Rachel?!!’
’What is she doing here? I can’t believe it.’ I tried my best to hide my rage and act like I didn’t notice her. A forced smile crept on my lips.
Ghost stood across the wide table, hands clasped behind his back, delivering a composed posture.
He identifies the prestigious figures with fake names, and when it got to Rachel, he called her.. The Fox.
I cleared my throat. Soft but pointed, I exhaled through my mouth, sharp and controlled. My gaze lifted cold, unblinked.
"There’s nothing any of you seated here can say that would change my goals.."
"And what are this goals you say?" Ghost asked.
"Im not going to work just for you all to gain from my labour, your the one’s who owe me your power and labour.."
"And if I’m not getting that which I command, then you all can conclude this meeting a waste of time.."
