Chapter 286: Blood Frenzy Complete Transformation
The moment the transformation started, Belladonna was hit with a feeling she was not expecting. Whilst the power was brewing inside of her, trying to push its way out of her, she could feel something start to push itself into her.
Her armour started to melt, as if it was made of chocolate. The liquefied armour then started to pull itself into her body, forcing itself in through her skin pores, as it was rapidly absorbed by her body until she was left in nothing but the basic starting gear once more.
That was when the power that was swirling inside of her finally let loose and burst through her skin, literally.
Her muscles bulged beneath her skin, growing larger and thicker, so much so that it was simply too much for her skin to contain anymore. It stretched and stretched, until it finally started to rip and tear, revealing the bone white monstrosity underneath.
Claws erupted from her fingertips, wearing her old fingers like they were ruined gloves.
Her teeth grew, not just in size but in number, forcing her cheeks to rip as her mouth extended up to her ears in a twisted smile. All of this was normal, or at least what she had been used to from before, but this time it kept going.
Belladonna’s body kept growing, gaining an entire foot of extra height, as new feet tore themselves out from her skin suit. These new feet only had three toes, two at the front and one at the back, each of them tipped with razor sharp talons.
Her back bulged outwards, as if she was growing a hunchback, before the skin exploded and revealed a pair of colossal bone white bat-wings that flapped and stretched in relief as they were finally free from their confines.
Finally, Belladonna raised her hands to her head, dug her clawed fingers into her scalp and simply tore her entire face off to reveal the monster underneath.
Large, pure black eyes that were double the size of her regular eyes, with crimson streak marks dripping down to her tooth-filled maw like tears of blood. The ears that this mouth stretched up to were now wide and pointed, and actively twitched and shifted at the smallest noise as they honed in on the sources.
She had no nose to speak off, just a pair of slits as nostrils, and not hair at all. Like this, she was completely bald, revealing a bleach white head that resembled a monstrous egg.
Belladonna arched her back, stretching her mouth out wide and let out a deafening roar of dominance. Her long, prehensile tendril of a tongue waggled in the air as she announced her presence to her would-be victims.
Now she finally understood why monsters always did this in movies. It felt good. Really good. And even more than that, she could literally smell the fear that her presence inspired.
Her slit nostrils flared and large ears twitched, as Belladonna tested out her new senses. They were on fire, as she was blasted in the face with sensations that she had never thought she would ever experience in her life.
Other than the fear, she could smell the traces of blood in the air, even though none of it had been spilled recently.
She could actually pick out the scents of her friends blood, even from so far away, and could actually instinctively tell not just their race, but how delicious they would be, just from a quick sniff of their trail.
Her sense of hearing was amazing too, as every sound echoed off of the objects around it, painting a perfect picture of the environment in her head. With just a few clicks of her tongue, Belladonna could paint the entire world around her in her mind, even if it was just in still images. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
Best of all, Belladonna still had all of her awareness about her. She could hear the mad ravings of her feral self, but they were not overpowering like before, and she did not need to fight them off. At least, not at the moment.
The same could not be said after she tasted blood, and right now she was feeling a little peckish.
Crouching down, Belladonna instinctively flexed her new wings as if they had been a part of her since birth. When she launched herself forwards, using every ounce of her strength, she flapped her wings at the same moment.
There was no blur, no announcement of her presence after the first, no attempts at defence at seeing the monster fly towards them. Mainly because they did not see a monster flying towards them at all. They saw nothing.
All there was was an explosion of rock where she had once stood, a thunderous crack in the air, and an explosion of blood and demonic viscera.
In the fraction of a second, the six armed Demon had been reduced to a pair of bloodied legs that were still standing firm, waiting for any would-be attackers.
Belladonna let out a few disorientated screeches as she pulled herself out of the hole in the wall her impact had created. She had flown much faster than she had expected, partly because she was not expecting to fly in the first place.
Her wings movements were simply responding to her desires, rather than being under her direct and active control at the moment. They had been so eager to give her a little boost, but even without that boost her strength had increased so exponentially that she surprised herself with the charge.
You might think that the six-armed Demon would be more surprised, but that would be wrong. He couldn’t have been surprised, because he had no idea what even killed him or that he was even dead until after it had happened.
Dropping from the wall, Belladonna landed in the middle of the deranged panic, as the other demons ran around in horror and desperation as they tried to find what had killed their elite member.
Belladonna glanced at them with disdain in her eyes, and swiped her claws at the closest demon. The little spell-caster had barely gotten through the first half of its spell, before it was sliced cleanly into five separate pieces, as was the ground behind it as the claw swipe extended much further than the reach of Belladonna’s arm.
She had to pause for a moment, looking at her own hand in disbelief, as she had swung it so hard and fast that she turned the air itself into her weapon, before breaking out into a wide and manic smile.
Her blood-lusting gaze turned to the next spell caster, right as it blasted her in the face with a lightning bolt, blasting a massive chunk out of the side of her head.
It barely got a chance to smile, nevermind celebrate, before the smoke cleared and revealed the transformed Belladonna still stalking towards it. The hole in her head already started to close, as strands of muscle fibres and skin flapped in the air and rapidly pulled itself together and her destroyed eye sprouted from her eye socket.
By the time she speared her claws through its stomach a second later, there was no sign that she had ever been injured. Not even a scorch mark.
