Warhammer Divine Throne
Chapter 1015 - 442: Heaven and Earth
"What is this?!" Feeling the power of this Undead Chaos Champion, Mathew Bade was finally moved.
"Undead Dead Spirits, heed my command, the day of doom is upon us!" Kemler did not answer Mathew Bade's words; instead, he increased his output of Mana.
A team of approximately two hundred Undead Chaos Chosen Warriors appeared behind Guer under Kemler's summons, clad in solid Chaos Armor, wielding long halberds or two-handed giant axes, and marched into the battlefield at Guer's command.
The cloak of the Blood God flapped loudly; under Kemler's orders, Guer strode toward the battlefield, those Undead Chaos Chosen Warriors likewise followed the Chaos Champions who had perished thousands of years ago. They had lost all self-awareness, driven only by the instinct to kill.
Mathew Bade frantically began to recall all the knowledge he possessed, while the Duke of Musillon muttered to himself: "Could it be, that's..." π§π³π¦β―ππ¦π·π―ππ£π¦π.πΈπ°π
"Indeed, Guer, Champion of the Four Chaos Gods. I found his tomb in the Gray Mountain Range, and now he is at my disposal." Kemler's aged, dry voice was filled with strong confidence: "His power will help us reverse the battle."
Mathew Bade nodded silently, for the Duke of Musillon truly didn't have much to think about Kemler's ability to drive Guer because two thousand years ago, Nagash successfully wielded Guer, making this formidable Undead Four Gods Champion serve him.
Kemler is an extremely powerful Undead Grand Mage; even if his Magic Power differs from Witch Demon King Akhan, the gap isn't too vast. Since he can create Black Chalice Knights, he can certainly command these Undead Chaos Chosen Warriors.
Guer's appearance changed the course of the battle.
From the very moment the Champion of the Four Chaos Gods joined the battlefield, he swung the black giant axe in his hand, instantly slicing three Ranger Knights charging toward him, man and horse alike, into two parts. His hollow eyes emitted the embers of Soul Fire.
On the left-wing, Francois led his Knight Army, sweeping through the undead tide like a storm; those Undying Creatures were cleared out by the charge of four thousand knights, starting with the Zombie Swarm, Skeleton Warriors, then Tomb Ghouls, Tomb Evil Ghosts, and then the Black Knight Legion and Spirit-Binding Knight Legion. The Knights always followed Francois, charging forward, banners from various Duchies flying high, cavalry lances shattered and replaced by drawn blades, all while the manes of the warhorses were bathed in the blood of the Undying Creatures.
As they delved further into the battlefield, the knights scattered and formed small cavalry lance formations, attacking at will; the charging prowess of Brittania's Heavy Armor Knights was unmatched in the Old World, crushing any formidable enemy standing in their path.
Some knights gradually approached the area near Kemler's command platform.
The vanguard of the knights first crashed into the group of Undead Chaos Chosen Warriors, and two Kingdom Knights saw Guer's figure. They shouted their names loudly, praying to the Lake Fairy that they had found worthy opponents.
"For the Lady! Accept judgment!" On the chaotic field, the Kingdom Knights rode their warhorses, trampling over muddy grass, rushing toward the Chaos Champion's location: "Die!"
Spitting out blue mist, the Divine Chosen Champion of the Four Chaos Gods, Guer, raised the War Axe, swinging it horizontally. The Kingdom Knight charging him gripped his Cavalry Lance: "Face judgment! The Lady grants you destruction!"
Guer swung his War Axe; his black axe swept across the air.
The two Kingdom Knights passing beside him, man and horse, were severed in two; they couldn't even utter a final word, dying on the spot along with their warhorses.
Blood splattered, flowing, a head landed; from Guer's mouth, a long spout of blue mist burst forth, his consciousness hazy β some instinct from his life made him excited, yet he was only a corpse.
Over two hundred Undead Chaos Chosen Warriors led by Guer advanced into the battlefield.
The knights finally met formidable obstacles.
These Undead Chaos Chosen Warriors could not be harmed by mortal weapons.
The Cavalry Lances of the knights snapped before them, the blades of the knights couldn't slice through their armor, while in contrast, even a tiny flaw resulted in a swift counterattack that cost the knights their lives.
Even when knights thrust their lances into their eye sockets, it caused no damage; only weapons blessed by the Lake God Prophet or Lake Fairy could repulse these foul entities.
Thus, the space became increasingly smaller; the charging space for the knights was compressed by the Chaos Chosen Warriors, their powerful charge was akin to waves beating against rocks. No matter how perfect their textbook-style charge, the knights could not budge these Undead Chaos Chosen Warriors one bit. They stood firm while closing in step by step, squeezing the knights' charge space; warhorses fell before their long halberds and heavy giant axes, knights were pulled from horseback, many dying instantly and were resurrected as Undead Knights.
Only a small number of cavalry lance formations led by Holy Grail Knights could break through the blockade of these undead, but the number of Holy Grail Knights was still too few; group after group of knight squads fell and were devoured by the undead.
