Wasteland: I Awakened A Plant System
Chapter 133: Divya Experience The Ability Of Warrior Druid
"Stop with the nonsense. If you’re going to fight, make it quick. I’m in a hurry to get home for dinner," he said, waving his hand, his tone very impatient.
At this moment, one of his subordinates quietly approached Kuldeep and whispered to him, recounting the entire situation that had just transpired.
"He’s not even afraid of Savage Wolf Shelter?" Hearing this, Kuldeep’s face grew even more solemn, his brows furrowed, and a hint of apprehension flashed in his eyes.
"Brother, could you be a Survivor from Aurora Shelter or Brown Wood Shelter?" Kuldeep asked tentatively. Seeing Vikram’s composed demeanor, he became even more convinced that the other party came from one of the three major Shelters.
"Then it’s truly a misunderstanding," Kuldeep’s tone softened a few degrees as he tried to bridge the gap. "The relationship between our three major Shelters has always been good; there’s no need to hurt our harmony over such a small matter."
He paused, his gaze sweeping over the two women behind Vikram, and continued, "However, these two women were captured by us first. Even if Brother has powerful backing, there’s still a rule of first come, first served, isn’t there?"
"Otherwise, if our Shelter’s leader has a word with the higher-ups in your Shelter, I don’t think Brother’s life in the Shelter will be easy." Seeing that Vikram remained unmoved, Kuldeep’s tone carried a hint of threat.
"Tsk." Vikram, after listening to a lot of nonsense, finally couldn’t help but curl his lips, letting out an impatient sound.
Seeing this, Kuldeep thought his threat had worked and was about to say more, but what he got in return was an unhesitating slash.
Just a moment ago, the distance between them was still several meters, but in an instant, Kuldeep noticed that a child with a blade beside Vikram had already arrived in front of him.
The long saber in his hand was less than three feet from his head, and his body, which had consumed several physique fruits, had only just begun to react.
He hastily drew his weapon, raising it diagonally in front of his head, barely managing to block the strike, though a cut still appeared on his face.
"What do you mean? Did I hit a nerve, and now you want to silence me?" The injured Kuldeep finally revealed his true colors.
His previously calm demeanor had vanished the moment he was struck by the saber.
Now, with a ferocious expression, he stared at Vikram, who was looking at him calmly, while the Warrior Druid stood with the saber in front of him.
But Vikram didn’t answer him, he was looking at him, like he was looking at his corpse.
"Good, good, good. You dog, not only did you ruin my plans today, but you also want to go head-to-head with me, huh? I’ll grant you that." As he spoke, the ordinary iron saber he had used to block Warrior Druid’s attack was replaced by an alloy long saber.
The long saber in his hand glowed white, about to slash Warrior Druid’s chest. Seeing that the child still made no move, he knew he had succeeded.
His ability to rush so close to him earlier was just an illusion caused by his own carelessness; his physique must be superior to this thing.
"Don’t worry, after I defeat this thing and then you, I won’t kill you immediately. Instead, I’ll let you watch how these two women are played by me."
"That way, you won’t have come all this way for nothing, hahahaha." With his arrogant laughter and wide eyes, Vikram admitted he was indeed somewhat disgusted.
While Kuldeep was still secretly gloating, Divya, standing nearby, noticed that Warrior Druid who had been motionless, finally moved just as the saber was about to strike him.
As the long saber extended towards his chest, the Warrior Druid stepped forward with his right foot. With a swift slash of his blade, Kuldeep’s hand was severed clean at the wrist, the saber clattering uselessly to the ground along with the severed hand.
Just as Kuldeep’s expression shifted from smugness to pure terror, and he was going to scream with the pain, Warrior Druid slammed his blade heavily into Kuldeep’s heavily bearded chin with the flat part of the blade. His entire head snapped sideways, shaking unnaturally, and his eyes gradually lost their luster.
At the same time, his right arm was not idle. He bent it slightly, and the instant the chin strike landed, he drove the hard pommel of his blade into Kuldeep’s ribs with brutal force.
Kuldeep, who was about to lose consciousness, was awakened again by the pain in his ribs.
But with Vikram’s command, the Warrior Druid looked down at the semi-conscious Kuldeep, grabbed the back of his head with his free hand, and slammed his face hard toward the ground.
Then, the Warrior Druid dragged Kuldeep by the hair and threw him roughly at Vikram’s feet.
Divya saw after Warrior Druid presented Kuldeep in front of Vikram, Vikram raised his right foot, and with a gravity-defying knee strike heavily smashed into Kuldeep’s face, powerful and forceful.
"Bang!" Blood splattered, and a large, dazzling patch of crimson quickly appeared on the vast snowy ground.
When Vikram lifted him again, Kuldeep’s face was already a bloody mess.
His nose was completely smashed crooked by the knee strike, his eyes were tightly shut, but a line of bloody tears flowed from the corners of his eyes.
Several of the white teeth he had bared earlier when spouting arrogant words had also fallen out.
His face was a patchwork, with no intact skin, looking not much different from a zombie.
From an outsider’s perspective, it was all clearly visible, but from Kuldeep’s perspective, this entire battle had only happened in the instant he was about to thrust his saber.
Then from Vikram’s side this child-like creature arrived, cut his hand, knocked him out, and slammed his head before dragging him and presenting him in front of Vikram, lying like a dead dog in the biting cold snow.
Kuldeep wasn’t dead; he was just temporarily unconscious from a heavy blow to his jaw.
However, from the perspective of his four subordinates behind him, they were all certainly going to die today.
They had been so confident of victory, but now every one of them wore a mournful expression.
Vikram couldn’t be bothered with the few trembling, terrified nobodies.
His gaze shifted down to Kuldeep, and seeing him still unconscious, he stomped his right foot heavily on his lumbar spine, intending to wake him up.
In fact, this method worked; Kuldeep’s head hadn’t even lifted before a scream erupted from the snow.
"Ah!" As Vikram pressed down harder, the sound grew louder, transforming from a muffled groan buried in the snow to a piercing shriek that echoed across the area.
But Vikram wouldn’t pity this guy just because he screamed loudly; if he hadn’t ridden so fast today, who knows what might have happened to Divya.
Since in his eyes, Divya belongs to him, it his responsibility to protect her; he continued to press down with his foot, and with a "Crack!" a crisp sound came from Kuldeep’s lumbar spine.
Everyone present froze for a moment upon hearing it, only Kuldeep continued to thrash about in the snow, trying to escape Vikram, this demon.
He was completely unaware of the crisp sound from earlier.
However, he soon realized something was wrong; besides the bone-chilling pain in his waist, he couldn’t feel his lower body at all.
He seemed to be thrashing desperately, but in reality, only his one arm was moving; he thought it was due to the cold weather and tried to feel the area below his waist.
"Nothing?"
"Where are my legs? Where are my legs?" His voice shifted from pain to anxious rage; Kuldeep, held down by one foot in the snow, raised his head in a sorry state, his face still ferocious despite his injuries.
He struggled to turn his head, suppressed, and could only dimly see behind him with his peripheral vision.
However, only despair awaited him; he saw Vikram’s foot already extended from his back, but his lower body remained numb.
He couldn’t see what was behind him, but everyone else present saw it clearly.
On Kuldeep’s back, his waist was unnaturally sunken, and his two thighs below the waist dangled limply in the snow like building blocks.
They knew this wasn’t yoga; it was Kuldeep’s lumbar spine, snapped by Vikram.
"Bo... Boss." One of the subordinates pointed at his lower back, his teeth chattering before he could finish his sentence.
At this moment, he didn’t even care about the faint ache in his waist; looking at his subordinate’s terrified eyes, his own eyes dimmed, as if he finally understood something.
"No matter who you are, I brought this upon myself today; just give me a quick death." Lowering his head, Kuldeep knew he was finished today and reluctantly said to Vikram behind him.
Vikram didn’t care about the deep bond between the brothers; in the apocalypse, one must be decisive when necessary.
If he hesitated when provoked, then having the Plant system with him would be useless.
"You want a quick death? Simple. Tell me whose idea today’s plan was, and I’ll grant your wish." His tone remained calm and indifferent, as if the surrounding bloodshed had nothing to do with him.
"It was Rahul Soniwal, the leader of the Savage Wolf Shelter; if you want revenge, just go find him." Kuldeep revealed the truth without hesitation.
Hearing this, Vikram first raised an eyebrow, his expression a little playful, surprised by Kuldeep’s candidness in exposing the culprit.
He had expected another scene of fearless defiance, forcing him to use tricks to extract the truth.
"You don’t need to stare at me like that; Rahul Soniwal is indeed the leader of the Savage Wolf Shelter, but I’ve never approved of him. I’m not lying to you." Kuldeep on the ground finished speaking and closed his eyes.
He regretted not listening to Shalini’s advice to be more cautious earlier.
Now it was too late to say anything; he could only lie on the ground, exhaling a breath full of resentment, quietly awaiting his fate.
Vikram didn’t waste words; he signalled to Warrior Druid, and next Warrior Druid with a swift motion, cut through the air, emitting a sharp whistle.
The next second, the head of the Savage Wolf Shelter’s minor leader separated from his neck, rolling onto the snow, and blood gushed out like a spring, staining the surrounding snow crimson.
The blood splattered directly onto the few huddled nobodies, who were so terrified by the sudden bloody scene that they were scared out of their wits and looked like they were about to scatter.
Warrior Druid didn’t need even further command, he rushed in front of them; as the blade light flashed, several people fell one after another, without even having time to scream.
Soon, this already small clearing was covered in blood, and the air was thick with the heavy smell of it.
Warrior Druid then flicked his blade, scattering the crimson blood droplets, while Vikram looked at Divya, who had witnessed everything.
