 "Come on, Jessica, I know the way to the hospital if ever I’m sick," Liam chuckled. "How did your day go?"
 I watched him closely, still concerned about his pale complexion, but he seemed determined to brush it off. I hesitated for a moment before deciding to let it go, for now. "It was uneventful," I said, walking back to the room as he followed behind me. "Except that I made Kristen tell the truth."
 Liam’s footsteps stopped behind me, and I could sense his sudden interest. "He told you?" he asked, his voice low and curious.
 I nodded, turning to face him. "He’s never sick," I said, my voice firm. "It was all a game."
 Liam’s eyes narrowed, "he wouldn’t tell you the truth unless he had something else planned." His gaze suddenly shifted to me, eyes boring into me as if to read my very thoughts. "What exactly did he say to you, Jessica?" Liam asked, his voice low and intense, his eyes never leaving mine.
