When Love Turns the Tables: The Mysterious Husband's Chase
Chapter 917: I Like You, Only You (Part 7)
Su Weiyi lay on her bed in the dormitory, still echoing Sheng Yanxiao’s last words in her ears.
He won’t be with anyone else...
Su Weiyi snuggled into the blanket and smiled sweetly.
She actually didn’t connect Zhang Ziyu’s situation to herself, but after all, that was the boy she adored deep down inside.
His every word, every syllable could give her endless strength.
That little shadow in her heart left by their separation vanished in an instant.
Su Weiyi stared at the dorm ceiling, feeling a bit restless.
Once, she thought that after entering university, meeting more people, and being apart from him, she would gradually digest the feelings and secrets tucked away in her heart.
Then they would return to a normal relationship, she being his not-too-close sister, and he her prideful brother.
But now... it seems everything isn’t like that.
She likes him, more and more with every passing minute.
She likes the sweet nothings he whispers to her, though they often make her blush, she enjoys it.
Indeed, Su Weiyi isn’t a girl who easily gets shy, but in front of Sheng Yanxiao, even a slight approach from him could make her heart race.
This was a feeling she had never experienced with anyone else.
The more she thought about it, the harder it was to sleep. Su Weiyi pulled the blanket over her head, turned on her phone, and recalled past conversations with Si Xia about drawing comics.
Su Weiyi had an idea, registered a Weibo account, and followed a few comic artists Si Xia had mentioned before, scrolling through their Weibo.
Mostly they shared some casual sketches, and Su Weiyi’s gaze paused on a blog by an artist named "Qing Ci."
Apparently, Qing Ci was an artist who loved traveling. She didn’t have many followers, yet her account seemed to have great cohesion, as her posts were shared and commented on far more than others.
Her Weibo mostly consisted of landscapes from her travels, which she turned into small comics.
One of the most commented pictures depicted a seaside scene at sunset, with a man and a woman standing by the sea, forming a big heart with one raised arm amid the orange glow and close waves.
A very romantic and beautiful photo, and Qing Ci had translated it into a cute Q-version comic, creating an instant contrast, very adorable.
Su Weiyi had a thought, ignoring the late hour, she sent Si Xia a WeChat, sharing her little idea.
As expected, nobody replied, but Su Weiyi didn’t mind. She scrolled through Weibo a while longer until she finally felt sleepy and fell asleep.
She slept late but was awakened the next day by a clattering noise.
She grabbed her phone for a look; it was past eight, not yet nine.
Su Weiyi had gone to sleep around four, now too tired to open her eyes.
After much effort, the clattering noise finally stopped, only to be replaced after five minutes by the sound of a hairdryer.
Su Man seemed to have been awakened too, for the two of them were head to head, and Su Weiyi clearly heard Su Man mutter a soft "Damn."
Both of them couldn’t sleep due to the noise, they parted the curtain and sat up, seeing Xiao Ran’s bed neatly made, but no sign of her, while Zhang Ziyu seemed to be drying her freshly washed hair.
Su Weiyi and Su Man exchanged a glance, speechless.
Zhang Ziyu finished drying her hair, turned around and saw them up, looking innocent: "Sorry, I’m not used to my hair, washed it, didn’t want to catch a cold without drying it. Sorry for waking you, but it’s nine, time to get up."
