Chapter 6: We Will Have a Child as Soon as Possible
### Chapter 6: We’ll Have a Child as Soon as Possible
「Auroville Central Hospital」
Aiden Xavier had dragged Hazel Hawthorne to the hospital. After reluctantly seeing a doctor and getting her prescription, she saw an assistant rushing toward them.
The assistant lowered his voice and warned Aiden Xavier, "Sir, Mrs. Xavier is here."
The moment she heard Fiona Forrest’s name, Hazel Hawthorne’s head began to throb. She couldn’t believe how well-informed the old woman was.
Fiona Forrest was Aiden Xavier’s mother, the matriarch of the Xavier family. She was so well-preserved that she looked to be only in her forties or fifties.
For reasons in the past, Fiona Forrest had a terrible attitude toward Raina Lowell and was staunchly against her marrying into the Xavier family. Her sudden appearance at the hospital could only mean one thing... she must have already found out that Raina had returned to the country and that Aiden had brought her to Clearwater Villa.
Hazel Hawthorne and Aiden Xavier exchanged a look. They had no choice but to go meet Fiona Forrest in one of the hospital’s conference rooms.
The moment they walked in, they saw Fiona Forrest giving orders to the bodyguard at her side—
"Go to Clearwater Villa and throw that vixen out! Tell them it’s my order. I’d like to see who dares to stop you!"
Aiden Xavier said coolly, "Mother."
Hazel Hawthorne cowered behind Aiden Xavier and mumbled sheepishly, "Mom."
Fiona Forrest’s eyes fell on Hazel Hawthorne, and she flew into a rage. She slammed her hand on the table and snarled, "You have the nerve to call me Mom? Look at you! Utterly useless! You’ve been married for three years and can’t even produce a child, and now you’re letting some vixen walk all over you!"
She furiously slammed a newspaper featuring Dylan Miller onto the table. "Getting publicly humiliated by that kind of trash is one thing, but to then let someone move right into your home? What’s next? Are you going to hand over the title of Mrs. Xavier, too?"
’This is all your son’s mess,’ Hazel Hawthorne complained silently. ’What does it have to do with me?’
Taking another look at the newspaper’s contents—the famous superstar Dylan Miller being blacklisted—Hazel didn’t need to guess who was behind it. It was definitely the work of her dear mother-in-law.
She could only force a smile and say, "Mother-in-law, Ms. Lowell just came back from medical treatment abroad. She’s in poor health and has nowhere to stay..."
"Then let her live on the streets! I’d rather she die out there than dirty a property of the Xavier family!"
Fiona Forrest shot Aiden Xavier a hateful glare and threatened coldly, "Don’t think I don’t know what you’re up to. As long as I’m alive, that vixen will never set foot in the Xavier family’s home!" 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"And you..."
Her gaze shifted to Hazel Hawthorne. "Your husband is out carousing and you can’t even rein him in. What did the Xavier family bring you here for?"
"Having a child should be your top priority. Then maybe you two would stop causing all this trouble and embarrassing the Xavier family!"
Hearing the word "child," Hazel Hawthorne was completely baffled.
’A child? Aiden and I are about to get divorced. What child?’
"Mom..."
Hazel Hawthorne was about to speak, but Aiden Xavier tugged her by the arm.
Putting on the air of a dutiful son, Aiden Xavier said, "You’re right to scold us, Mother. We’ll have a child as soon as possible."
Hazel Hawthorne could only stare at Aiden Xavier in stunned silence. ’This damn bastard... has he lost his mind?’
Only then did Fiona Forrest’s anger subside, but she still snapped, "Don’t think this lets you off the hook. Get rid of that vixen of yours! I never want to see her again! And if I find out you’re still involved with her, what happened to that woman yesterday will be her future!"
Fiona Forrest grabbed her purse and stormed out.
Left alone, Hazel Hawthorne turned to Aiden Xavier, her anger simmering. "Aiden Xavier, what is wrong with you?"
"Just sign the divorce papers so we can go our separate ways, okay?"
But Aiden Xavier, completely unfazed, simply took out his phone and showed her the screen—
"Your father just texted me. He wants you to go home for a visit."
